Unvote: The Corinthian
Of course the target of my suspicion turns out to be a mason..
I'm technically in the lead now. I might as well claim, though I don't expect it to turn any votes away from me. I'm a town roleblocker.
I don't have time to review cases on anyone else, and I'm not comfortable throwing my vote down without thinking things over, so it looks like I'll unfortunately go voteless Today. This is too last minute for me.
If you want to lynch me Today, go for it. I guarantee it will be a mislynch (and first time I ever get lynched when I'm not scum!). And given that 2 of the three voters for me Today are masons, it doesn't even look like you'd get much info out of my lynch. Sorry guys.

I would like Batman to clarify what kind of cop he is or at least comment on the counter claim if he's around. And for Gir to explain if that comment about Puft making her post restriction was for real or meant to say something else. I am a standard cop - role and alignment. There may very well be a partial cop, it's a plausible claim. However, I do find it strange that a partial cop would counterclaim a full cop.

In the interests of ensuring you've all read it, I'm going to repost the tiebreaker rule in this thread. If the players are foolish enough to allow, or force, a tie, they throw it into the lap of chance. The mods will randomly select from the following two options. - No player is lynched.
- All players tied for the lynch lead are lynched.

narrator -- Heehee, lynched by a phantom vote.
(Rest unfortunately OOC since I have to run out again:
Couple of unvotes since then, but this is basically what we're dealing with.
I still want to let the vig thing play out. I have reservations about the two detective claims (not that there are two -- I expect *at least* two detective-type roles in this game -- but that functionally they are so similar and so strong), but can't see the utility of forcing a lynch on so little information and perhaps getting it wrong. Other than those, Dr. Strangelove is the only person on this list I'd be interested in voting, and that case is no great shakes; it just resonates slightly better than the rest.
I'd be willing to vote two people not on this list, right now.
Homicidal Maniac, who has not satisfied me that the post of his from day one I pointed out actually had anything specific to say. Unfocused, says a lot without really saying much posts I find inherently suspicious, especially when coming from someone as typically sharp and focused as he is. To further the impression, he has commented very little on the events of *this* day, with most of that effort expended on a multipoint response to Marcel that was a tangent to the main discussion.
Second, Rorshach, who has done little today to erase my vague impression from yesterday that he was saying little for all his numerous posts. Yesterday his sheer volume of posting kept me more or less comfortable with him, but today he was one of those who voted for Marcel based on his yummy-yummy scumbait behavior, and maybe he caught one.
vote: Homicidal Maniac[/color]
I'm perfectly willing to change my vote to a lesser suspect for policy reasons if that becomes advisable.)

<font style="font-size: 12px;">@batman: Both role (as in power and/or name?) and alignment? I thought a standard cop would be an alignment investigator. @lt. Columbo: You're think others are more certain town than yourself so you won't place a vote in even defense? Or are you waiting for someone else to place a third vote? That's a fair point. Especially given that it follows the same reasoning for my Iskaral vote Yesterday. Of course, then, there was a 3-3 tie, which I chose to break. Now, it's just 2-2, with a lot of single-vote runners-up. Anything could happen, still. If anyone, I'm tempted to vote for Homicidal Maniac, but I think that's largely motivated by OMGUS. And knowing my luck, he's probably the third mason. That's not to say that none of the other cases on other players don't hold water, I just don't have time to review them. What little reason I can come up with for a vote on anyone is not enough of a reason for me to be comfortable with. So, I won't try saving my neck except through explanations of my actions. I'll leave it to you guys to decide whether or not to lynch me. <font style="font-size: 12px;">Town Roleblocker, huh? What do you think of Marcel? You mean, what do I think of his claimed power? Given that I don't even see any conflict between the two vig claims, I definitely don't see conflict between a standard roleblocking power and a one-shot mass block. <font style="font-size: 12px;"> Unvote: The Corinthian
Of course the target of my suspicion turns out to be a mason..

His vote is not currently on me, but it was before. I would hope that, had he not claimed mason, he'd still get looked at should I get lynched and flip town. I've got maybe 10 more minutes here, and then I'm out. Good luck, all.

Post by Suburban Plankton on Sept 24, 2010 12:48:06 GMT -5
Gir's behavior recently still doesn't sit well to me. I don't buy her 'post restriction' at all. But stranger things have happened (in this very game, no less). And I'm reluctant to create a three-way tie at this point. I think it's important that today not end with a tie vote. If we end this day with no lynch, then we go into Night 2 with no more information than we had going into Night 1, and if more weird shit happens overnight to prevent deaths, Day 3 is going to be a killer. And if the coin-flip lands on "multiple lynch", we stand a 50% chance that we lynch 3 Townies.
So I'm going to break the tie and vote for Dr. Strangelove
His voting history:
Day 1, Post 233, he voted for me. His reason: "To heck with it! (It's my bedtime anyway.)" Day 1, Post 391, he voted for Twilight Fangirl. His reason: "I'll vote for the player who's not posted once since signing up."
Day 2, he has not cast a vote. He pointed FOS at Batman and Dr. Raj, because "I don't want to be accused of non-participation".
He's posting just enough that he's just ahead of the "lurkers", but he's yet to really contribute to the discussion.
vote Dr. Strangelove
Anyone wanna get a pool going on what role he's about to claim?

Vanilla would be fun! We could send him straight to Hood on the back of his own nuke. Not that I know what a nuke is, but I hear it makes a Moranth cusser look like a puff ball. There are no vanillas around here, certainly not me, and if anyone is surprised to hear that right now I would be very surprised to hear that.
You could have voted Homicidal Maniac if you wanted to put your money down somewhere, Lieutenant. He's certainly not a mason, given how the bhok'aral has been nibbling at his shorts all day. I would say that's a poor excuse not to place a vote, but I already have a suspect in each hand and two on my head, so I'm kind of full up, heehee.

I am the third Mason (though on our secret board, red and peeker both tell me they're busy and may not drop by to confirm me). Mods: Is it legal for me to post excerpts from our secret conversation as evidence of my Masonic standing?I wonder if the 25 of us are just pawns in a meta-Mafia game being played by these three. I'd suggest lynching the Moderators before going after scum, but they probably have immunity. ;D Although I posted the above, I doubted the Moderators would be so sadistic. But now I'm not so sure. So I'm going to break the tie and vote for Dr. Strangelove His voting history: Day 1, Post 233, he voted for me. His reason: "To heck with it! (It's my bedtime anyway.)" I'd love to concoct some exotic Magician role, but I don't want to break my record of never yet lying in a Mafia Game! We can all agree Dr. Strangelove isn't the sharpest pencil in the set. It was foolish that my first two Mafia Games are Conspiracy and Halloween, but Hey! When teaching a kid to swim don't you just throw him in the deep end and watch him drown? Perhaps everyone is indeed Town, but for reasons previously given I will vote a Vig claimant. Vote: Dr. Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali
