Post by CatInASuit on Oct 1, 2007 10:14:22 GMT -5
Updated from MHaye, given the number of votes taking place. (including mine)
11 - Ui (Yattara, Roosh, DarkCookies,Diomedes,Zeriel, HockeyMonkey, Storyteller, Flying(Boy)CowOfDoom, MadTheSwine, dotchan, CatInASuit) 3 - DarkCookies (Pygmy Rugger, Hal Briston, Captain Klutz) 3 - Roosh (Ui, Sinjin, Whatthefrak) 2 - Whatthefrak (Drain Bead, dnooman) 2 - Idle Thoughts (MTGMan, Panamajack) 1 - Drain Bead (Idle Thoughts) 1 - Storyteller (MathBlaster)
I think we are looking at a run off between ui and DarkCookies. Personally, I think the pair of them are scum, with ui running interference for Cookies. However, I will vote for a lynch tonight and am quite happy to vote for either of them.
And as everyone seems to have reached a conclusion.
vote ui

Accordingly, to avoid hammering without comment from ui, I will: unvote uiTo revote nearer the deadline or in the absence of a satisfactory defense.

I think at this point ui needs to say something to support who he is.

I believe wtf has testified that he wuz in yer crib, bodyguardin' yer Masonliness. Thanks. I don't really care too much about changing anyone's mind at this point, but I'm going to lay this out anyway. I'll be toast toDay if I don't say anything, or toNight because I did. One way or another, I'm frakked. My character is Zoe Washburne, first mate of Serenity. Due to my military training I may target a crewmate each Night. If he or she is targeted for a kill, I have a 50% chance of blocking the attack. I may not target myself. I targetted MadTheSwine last Night because if his claim to be a mason was true, I figured he'd be targetted by scum. I didn't really have much else to go on. Do what you want with this information. I'll probably post again in the morning if need be. If I'm alive by the evening, I may post again then. Assuming you are telling the truth,I really question why you would protect me. To anyone who has a protecting role...I am VERY expendable and scum would be foolish to attack me at Night.Don't waste your protects on me. Fact O'business,I think you are lying..but it could be newbiness(if you are a newbie). Any counter claims out there yet? We need a counter claim.

Quoting myself, since I really did mean to say this : As for Idle Thoughts, a closer reading has led me to think he's less scummy than I previously thought. I don't think there many people will jump on this, but at the moment I do honestly find him the most suspicious, so Idle, I'm not sure if you misread since it's unclear or if you thought I miswrote that, but I really did mean 'less scummy' there. Since you were my previous candidate before wtf, but I had lacked time to build a stronger case, I went back and reread Today's thread, especially your posts. What I found was that there wasn't as much suspicious there as I'd thought - it seems more like there's some underlying consistency punctuated by occasional distractions. So I felt the case was weaker, but still suspicious if intentional. At this point in the Day I wanted to have a vote out there. Since I didn't buy the Cookies argument, I put my vote back on the person I found most suspicious. That way if the Day ended without me needing to change it, it's encouragement to other players to go and analyze your posting history, to see if they can see something new as well. I did come up with a few other suspicious people on the read-through, so it wasn't as if I only checked you out and didn't bother with the others. sinjin - insightful at times but this makes you wonder if she's being too helpful. drainbead - I can't shake the feeling she's hiding something.

At the moment, I'm waiting for a ui claim but I'm willing to hammer without it.
While I have some misgivings that it may just be a radically different playing style than we're used to, it's still better than the case against Cookies.
It appears as if NAF's countdown is using local 3:30 p.m. to display for you guys. In PDT it says, 5 hours and 30 minutes or so. It's 10 a.m. PDT, which means that is correct.

Post by ui on Oct 1, 2007 12:07:31 GMT -5
Keep in mind ui, that you're only working with partial information. You're missing out a LARGE chunk of posts where quite alot occurs: 1. The ModConfirmation of Alliance vs. Alliance Town. From the start I was against both groups and have pointed out as such. Dnooman claimed to be part of an alliance Town, Ramiro also claimed to be as such. This was one reason I was so suspicious of Ramiro on Day 1and still slightly of Dnooman, because the way they phrased it, they stated Alliance town was "townie", and since then it's been treated as such. However, since day 1 I've refused to consider myself as such, and have dropped hints about it. Even in toDay's posts I have done that. I am firmly Crew, and that's why I was confused by the AllianceTown. I still believe if they exist, either there's random wording for townies, or they are perhaps like Non-believers. They can win with the town, but perhaps they are not pure town. Idle was one person to pick up on these cues. It's one reason I'm less willing to lynch idle, because I feel he's coming from the same area as me. There are a lot of shenanigans with the mafia PM that would make that an easy guess. Like for example "You used to be a part of the crew, but after the Alliance brainwashed you..." 2. As for diminishing my roles in the lynch, well you attacked me, and made me seem as if I was the only one contributing to Ramiros's death. I wanted to point out that it took 14 to lynch, but the way you worded it was that I was the one who voted for her, and then swung ALL the other votes towards her. This was not the case. I voted for her, I stated my reasons explicitly, and then that was it. I waited to see the results. I was not trying to swing votes over to her. And I took offense to your saying such. That's why i was so defensive, because from day 2, you've been attacking me, and not trying to EVEN BOTHER asking me questions. You just ASSUME you think you know my reasoning for doing EVERYthing, and launch the tirades. So I have been a bit put off by you. And of COURSE I'm going to come off defensive, how Else can I come off against some who's last 40 posts or more have been nothing but against Me? WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. I hadn't even TALKED about yesterday's lynch at all before you were diminishing your role in it. I hadn't even READ IT. Look at the post history. (As easy way to do that is to look at all of my posts, by the way) 3. Also, you're missing the fact that when I suggested the plans, I ASKED the town what they thought about it, and if they were helpful. The town OFFERED its criticism and advice (some in kinder ways than others) and then from that we've decided that it was a bad move to go with. And the Ramiro lynching further proved that. Yup. That's how the scum would introduce such a plan. Because that was if/when it's shot down ytou can say "It was just a suggestion. I wanted to get the town's input. Honest!" I have NEVER been trying to "subtly" get support for my ideas. Point out where on DAY TWO I brought up my ideas before YOU showed up and Rehashed them? Cat is probably also scum, looking at it.[/quote] But you brought them up. Because you had incomplete Data. And you THINK you've discovered a great scum conspiracy. But it's just So WRONG, that I can't help but wonder what's your agenda. Your single minded pursuit of me is just... setting off so many bells. You haven't given your opinions on ANYthing else except "don't vote for cookie. Just vote roosh". You like making claims but you don't back them up. I've noticed everytime you get into a dilemma vs. Cat in the arguments you resort to falling back on your comfort zone of why things should be done "Because Roosh Is Scum" That's why anything should be done as opposed to the other. "Because I know Roosh Is Scum". That sir... Is begging the Question. And a fallacy to boot. And unhelpful to the town. No it's not. I have a premise, Roosh is scum, that I support and I bring up data (your actions) and warrants (What the motivations behind your actions appear to be). I've never said "You did this because you're scum olol." without saying how it makes sense for scum and how it doesn't make sense for town.
