ok, so pleo's conspiracy games are as enjoyable as i love lucy reruns (which in my specific case is considerable). this is a compliment pleo.
has anyone ever thought of reprising mazalan?
i mean the school year is getting ready to start so most of us will be back at work on a rather consistent basis. should give us plenty of time to surf the internet and engage in a more participatory manner.
just a fucking thought.

You want to do Malazan again? We could probably make that happen if there was enough interest. It was designed so that it could be re-playable more or less without any changes. We would have to tweak a thing here or there, but I think it could be done.

oh, i would so be down for another go. shoot i've got my i phone configured so that it does a screech owl thing every time i get a message. so i just map the pms from the game to my business account and i will be the most important dude in the room. "sorry folks we'll have to take a momentary break. i've got a message that must be addressed immediately." can fucking probably parlay that shit into a raise. woot the fucking woot.

We need to find a better method for communication than PMs, though.

We need to find a better method for communication than PMs, though. actually half the fun was knowing that you were slogging through it.

and seriously when was the last time that you logged onto your account and noticed that you had 78 messages waiting for you? fuck, you had to keep up with that one because if you missed a day you were in triple digits, easy.

i've known story for about 20 years through this shit. and i've gotten probably about 4 out of game pm's through the years. but fuck the bastard is the most devious fucker that i have ever met. i mean he won it for the wolves in the original. but i kind of felt through mazalan, that while he was certainly fucking me, that he had a heart when it came to that shit. i kind of like to think that he shed a tear when i lost.

peeker - I did.
NAF - If you reprise Mazalan, I'm definitely in, and I'll make time for it one way or another. That game was awesome. I'd be interested to see how the Chain thing would play out now that they wouldn't start the game as necessarily public enemies number 1-4.

I'm just glad the powers for the chargers never actually came into play in any way that affected the outcome. Guiri won (at least I think he was the winning vote charger) through diplomacy/politics alone. He could have actually won single-handedly based on the rules we (well mostly I in this case) implemented for them. Oops.

Want to round up Rysto and MHaye and see if they are interested in giving it another go? It sounds like we have at least 2 people who would be interested.

Did someone say "Malazan?"
I'd be cool with a rerun.

I'd love to play in a new Malazan. (one of my faves, even though I got iced pretty damn quick.)
But if in general Epic multi-choose-your-own-faction games are your fancy, I'm working on another one with a Song of Ice and Fire Color. Probably about 50% done. When I get 3/4ths of the way done, I'll sound out the call for co-mods to review and revise. I'm hoping to run this game over the winter or the spring time. And if anyone would not want to play, but want get in on the initial idea shoot me a pm here and I'll move my notes onto a board and we can discuss.

Yeah, I get that. It was time consuming. Still if we wanted to make the changes necessary to fully open the game up, we could probably just hand it off to whoever wants to run it themselves.

Still if we wanted to make the changes necessary to fully open the game up, we could probably just hand it off to whoever wants to run it themselves. True. But I think we need a new game-within-a-game flavor this time. Maybe something like the King in Chains, or something completely different. And I think that part should be closed (with significant danger to the game-within-a-gamers should they reveal who they are) just to keep people on their toes. But yeah, if we open it, we can probably hand it off to anyone who wants to run it. And I just thought of something that would perfectly for clans and PMs: Google+. You can create your own circles, so each clan could have it's own circle on Google+. And since accounts can be in multiple circles, you can talk to whoever you want in any circle you create. It's less unwieldy than message boards for quick communications, and it would allow people's PM boxes to stay relatively empty. Not sure how we'd handle the individual PMs to the admins, though. Thoughts?

You can send what is essentially a PM on G+ by writing a status and sharing it with only the one person you want to read it and then you turn resharing off.

And the flood of PMs the admins got was devastating to our sanity. Invites really won't be a problem since I have 150 of them to give out. I assume others have a lot as well. And how likely do you think a privacy slip up will happen and hurt the game? I really don't see someone inadvertently being exposed to something they shouldn't. And if they are intentionally trying to exploit something, why bother playing the game? And people will no longer have to worry about forgetting to cc the Admins on all posts, since the admins will just be in all the circles.

We just add everyone to every circle after the game is over if everyone wants to read stuff.

I really haven't used it though, so I don't know how likely errors are.
