PM sent to Jayne to notify of Nightkill attempt:
Note: Jayne does not know who the attacker was, nor that the "persuasion" mentioned involved giving up a player's role name.

Prelim Night 3 kill choice sent in case he was out of town when Night 3 ended (sent round post #285 on Day 2 or at 10:26 am PDT 09/27 depending on how you look at it)
Okay, doesn't look like the Day will end soon, and I expect to be back even if it ended today, but here's my choice of who dies: Storyteller0910
I didn't realize until now what to do if he gets lynched. Knife at the dartboard (random.org) says :
Blaster Master (seriously, that's kind of funny).

Night 3 final choice:
Target: storyteller0910
Today's Jayne quote: "My kind of life don't last long. I expect I'm invested in making good sport of it whilst I can."
This was kind of a tough decision for me, although in the end I went back to the target I had picked several days ago. There seem to be some clues to other folks out there and I did run through them (at least I'll have someone to watch Today). Ultimately I went with the person I thought was scum that is least likely to get lynched. I also think that if I'm wrong storyteller's death will be more revealing than my other choices.
But we really need to get scum, and right quick, so I hope I'm not wrong. My first serious suspicions were when Storyteller was asking what to do near the end of Day 1 - and it surprised me no one else picked up on that (that I saw). For scum it absolves your vote, and a townie should never listen to people who may want to kill him. Moreover he's generated an awful lot of discussion for someone who hasn't been under the microscope by many people, and his views on majority voting & lynching don't make much sense. If he is town, he doesn't seem to have adjusted for this type of setup very well.
The last bit of evidence was initially something that gave me pause. In Day 2, he brings up his role PM and says he's out to kill "The Alliance". Now I'd thought Idle had finally spilled the detail that he & Roosh had picked up on (and I alluded to myself once) - the scum PMs win condition is possibly that they stay alive, not that they kill all the rest. Ours specifies who needs to die. I searched for a long time before I found it laid out, in post 2.573. So I couldn't be sure if Story hadn't just pieced it together to try and join the trust club. But then I read my own PM again. It doesn't say "The Alliance" anywhere. It says "All Alliance". So does Idle's, apparently. So I find it strange that Storyteller would use quotes on text that can't be quoted. It just doesn't seem like him not to go and check the PM and make sure he had it right. Is it damning? Maybe. I'm not sure I could drive a lynch on it, and I may as well pull out my gun.
If I'm wrong, I will be sorry. But I can't be too upset, I've just got to make good sport of it. There's even good in-game reason for not being emotional as well.

Journal, Day 3 Morning
Role : Jayne Cobb, Vigilante
With all the singing last night I thought FCoD had a strange dream, putting Story's quote next to a picture of that creepy statue of me.
It would have been eerie if he'd actually died. Too bad he didn't. I have a feeling something interesting's about to happen.

Sent Night 4:
Target: Flying Cow of Doom
Quote: "Spry for a dead fellow."
Storyteller gets a reprieve for one day from me. I hope I get some information about how his death was prevented last night, which I should have been trying to get during the Day. Oh well.
My suspicions are that the Alliance did pick up on me being a Vig, and drainbead did block me last night. It's a good target for the blocker, since they can sort of control an extra death in their favor. Looking back, she seemed to be fishing for a vig in the mornings. Which is why I sort of regret admitting to the attack - I expect that there will be no more since Greedy is dead now. Announcing almost seems like a ploy on my part.
I probably ought to have gone after drainbead last night, but on the other hand getting her lynched seemed more likely to happen. I kind of hoped the Detective (80% sure it's Idle) wouldn't have had to jump and down to point it out. Of course, it would have been funny if she had blocked my kill on her.
As for FCo'D - I was hoping to find something earlier on with respect to drainbead. I read through the threads and didn't catch anything obvious. Here's where it hurts a little to have lost some of that first day, since we can see how scum interacted early on. What I've come out with isn't positive, more of a gut feeling. I think he sort of shifted around too much, especially with his vote for her which kind of seemed like "look at me, voting for scum!" if you only look at the numbers.
CatinaSuit looks really suspicious for defending drainbead (but if he is a pro-town Wash that isn't unreasonable). I hope the Detective can check him out, if he makes it through the night (I expect he will; there a couple of alternate targets, including myself but I bet I'll live at least one more day).

Night 5's PM: Role: Jayne Cobb, Vigilante Target: storyteller0910
Quote: "There's people gonna die. And with people dyin' comes guts, and screaming, and that can bring on all sorts of humped up behavior, a person ain' used to it."
Time to generate some information somehow. Because it doesn't look like I'll be getting it any other way.
I made a new list, trying to see who's on it that is most likely scum and would also reveal something by their death. Then I went back through the posts to try and figure out more about the people I haven't suspected. Nobody really leapt up, but with the numbers dwindling it's a little easier
My guess is that story isn't a power role; if he is, we're humped. But I'd rather find out sooner than later. I did find one more tell on story; he was early on defending CatinaSuit's Wash claim based on lack of a counterclaim. While I'm inclined to believe atarus cleared CatinaSuit, this true statement seems another mark against my target.
Off the subject of killing -- this is a tough role. The consequences of being wrong can suck (at least I didn't suspect atarus). As for Idle, I was either way off-base or he was setting up a false claim. Personally, I'm going to call it "way off-base" for now.
P.S. to the Mods - thanks for allowing Night discussion. I'm assuming the scum have a good guess as to my role, so I don't mind if it starts to become more obvious to the town.

Night 6: Role : Jayne Cobb, Vigilante Target : Capt. Klutz
Quote: [to Simon] "Hey, you're... part of my crew."
Luckily I decided not to take out Idle in the end. Not that I might not have voted him for scum, but at least it wasn't me killing him.
My kill tonight is of some interest, as it will extremely obvious that the scum did not kill Klutz.
I'm not getting a good track record myself. I'm afraid that a poor decision tonight could end up ruining our chances of winning. I've spent some time looking over Capt. Klutz's posts, as well as Hockeymonkey. HM actually looks a bit more like scum, but I think she's more lynchable than Klutz. She actually seems to have a bit more inconsistency in her record.
Klutz I'm unfortunately going after because he seems to know a bit more about the game than is possibly warranted. Thing is, someone's going to probably make correct guesses, so I don't know if I'm taking him out for doing things rightly or wrongly. The only other thing I have on him is his comment on atarus's reading on CIAS. I read it as practically screaming that CIAS was his target, and found innocent. I don't know how Klutz got a "Roosh is clear" off of that. If he is scum, I also won't know if he was trying to smear CIAS or protect Roosh.
Some mistakes in vig play may have contributed to the loss in M2. Hopefully it won't happen again (where this time the town doesn't even know I'm here, so the blame is on me).

Day 6 Morning Notes: Finally I got one! Shiny!
And the Doctor stayed alive!
And we have an outed scum?
I just wanted to add something to my journal notes that I forgot last night, which was related to my quote.
Idle pointed out that he'd protected Story on Night 3. I'm highly confident that he knows he saved him, or he wouldn't have said this. So I have to both apologize to Idle (for eventually killing someone protected by him) and thank him (for letting out that information).

Night 7: Role : Jayne Cobb, Vigilante Target : ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies
Quote: "I like smackin' em!" (out of context, I know, but it works).
This target may seem like a no-brainer, but I did consider other options. We've got pretty much a sure thing on the one hand. There is the chance that I die tonight, though, and in that case maybe I'm better off taking out someone who I have a pretty good idea is scum and letting the town take out this target.
Reconsideration made me realize that's just plain stupid. Not only can I not expect to be as sure about any other target, but having a certain lynch target gives the scum a free pass for the Day. I would have thought they had a free pass to hide yesterday, too, but for the (apparent?) desperate attempt to save Cookies a second time. That wasn't smart of them, unless they get lucky tonight.
Plus, we all really want to know what she really is, myself more than anyone. I won't hurt the crew to believe in my existence, either, but that's neither necessary nor guaranteed). I'm also not sure the scum have a read on me, though either way I'm guessing they have other more likely targets tonight.
The Capt. Klutz thing freaked me out, though. I must say my "extremely obvious" comment this morning had to have the Mods & Peanut Gallery laughing their gorram heads off.

Final Thoughts (Journal Entry)
Quote : "Well, what you plan and what takes place ain't ever exactly been similar."
I'll be pretty upset if Roosh turns out to be scum, because he was to be my target tonight. That's what my melodramatic statement referred to. His defense of Cookies was by far the biggest thing against him, and I had downplayed that to keep myself hidden one more day.
At least I got in somewhat of a final post. I had a reasonable expectation that I might die, so I left some pretty big breadcrumbs there, since I had been misdirecting for some time to try and catch scum. After Roosh, though, I didn't see anyone else. I would have hoped to die soon anyway. I'm not terribly bothered since I'd have asked to be lynched tomorrow.
I didn't even think about the snitch thing. I wonder whose name I gave up (to Greedy, so I don't think it mattered)? Or was my snitch not activated?
Well, it sure was fun, even if I didn't go exactly as planned. I hope they pull this one out.
