The faceless crowd presses round its chosen victim, binding their limbs and trunk to a stout pole. Wood is piled high and quickly lights, despite the damp fog. The figure seems unaffected by the flames at first, but with a sudden burst, their skin cracks open. The inky smoke that pours out fills into an cloaked form which hisses an unspeakable curse before dissipating.
patricia, The Horseman of Death, a Devil with Manipulator powers is banished from Earth.
And it is now Night One. Because this is the first Night, I'll double it's length. It will end at 12n PT on Mon Feb 4.

Does anyone know if we can strategize during the Night or if it is just fluff. If no one knows can someone ask the mod, I am on my iPhone and really don't feel like coding, thanks.

As far as I can see, he hasn't said specifically anything against it in the rules. But I don't know for sure.

Also quick observation for the long-timers like me... Patricia was the Horseman of Death, and was the first to be lynched. That Horseman has appeared before, and if I'm not mistaken, he's had a perfect record up until now. Rysto will not be pleased.

Since we lynched a horseman, can the game's name change to "The End Is Neigh!"?

Yay! This is just the second time I've ever played in a game where we've managed to catch scum day one.
Horseman, eh? One down, three to go? (plus however many they can recruit)

Three to go? Where did that number come from?

Three to go? Where did that number come from? I would assume the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse. Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death.

Guys, I'd like to make a serious suggestion here.....
Even though we have no restrictions on talking, I think we should avoid talking about tomorrow's lynch candidates and things like that.....
We Know there could be things that alter the votes.....
And most of us experienced first hand from AIW what could happen if the Devils can screw around with the vote and have a good idea who we are going to target tomorrow.

Huzzah!
I see that patricia was described as having "Manipulator powers". I'm not sure if we're talking vote manipulation, power manipulation, or something else, but I'm pretty sure 'less manipulation' will be a good thing.
I'd wager we're looking at 4 Scum minimum to start, and hopefully no more. Of course, we still don't know if simply killing all of them is enough to win. Also, remember that just because patricia has been "banished from Earth", that doesn't mean we might not see her again.

In a cosmic twist worthy of M Night Shyamalan himself, I agree Lizzy here. Let's not give the scum too many hints on how to use whatever powers they've got. I doubt they'll be returning the favour if we do.

Here is the question I kind of had, So a devil is already known to be in hell and if what some discussed on here in Day 1 about kind of being held in purgatory and the devil's wincon may be to have as many souls or people in hell, so I wonder if when we lynch a devil if they stay in hell or they go to purgatory. I may not be making any sense to this cause what is in my head is not coming out right, I am blaming the cold meds I am on... So I wonder if there is a chance to claim a devil soul and repent to make it in heaven, if the Christian wincon is to have as many souls in heaven. Am I making any sense at all?

Should we take a vote on forgiving a penalty?

Should we take a vote on forgiving a penalty? Bill had three posts, Solaris had two, and gnarlycharlie had one. While I don't think we should forgive any until they show up and prove they'll be active and vote next round, if anybody should be forgiven it probably should be Solaris since he attempted to vote and just didn't get the formatting right.

Are Devils KNOWN to be in Hell already? When was this established? . It is a assumption from everyday life, now maybe I am thinking too much on it and associating it with real life. Cause you would not be a devil if you were not already in hell.
