Dark Souls 2 Night Two – Heide’s Tower of Flame The Chosen undead travels down through the strange stone archway. It leads through a series of needlessly complicated tunnels, and the party that follows the Chosen – at a safe distance, of course – grumbles a bit about the oddly long walk. Finally the tunnel crests back up into the sunlight, to a remarkable view: a long stone bridge leading to a complex of towers, at the center of which is a strange and beautiful lighthouse: Heide’s Tower of Flame. Giant warriors, ten feet tall and clad in the thickest armor imaginable, guard the bridge. While the Chosen Undead goes to work on them, the rest of the party take a moment to admire the view from the bridge… and to throw Chameleon unceremoniously off of it.
Chameleon is now HOLLOW.
Moreover, patricia, it seems, has taken a turn for the worse. Though she has not been attacked, some strange fever grips her. They tend to her as best they can with herbs and elixirs, but…
Patricia is once again HOLLOW.
And there is more. As they gather around patricia’s prone form, one of their number takes the opportunity and sidles quietly, unseen, behind his or her target. The attack, when it comes, is swift, sudden, and brutal; it is only hours later, when he awakens, that Bill even feels a little sore.
BillMC is now HOLLOW.--- Night Two begins here, and will end at approximately 12:30PM Eastern time on Saturday, August 23.

Well, we have confirmation of the poisoning. Was anyone poisoned toDay?
Attacking Bill looks like an attempt to maximise the souls received, but why not attack Chameleon to take the rest of his souls, once Swammi claimed his.

No poisoning here.
Guiri. What do you mean by why not take the rest of Chameleon's souls. Chameleon was human yesterday wasn't she?

Chameleon was the lynch candidate, and had extra souls from attacking me last Night. If the new attacker, assuming it's not Chameleon again, was going for souls, they could have done us a favor by finishing off Chameleon.

Duh, i'm a bit slow today, lack of sleep and really spotty internet has made it really hard for me to keep up. So yeah, I um didn't see the final result that she was the lynch candidate. So yeah duh, that would have made sense.

so, does this mean patricia can't unhollow anyone?

so, does this mean patricia can't unhollow anyone? She said "I do have a power to un-hollow anyone for one day and night." Not "one night and day", so Guiri's unHollowing, if any, would start at Dawn. I think. Less clear is if Patricia were even allowed to spend her Power yesterDay -- maybe it's a Night Power. Players, if you're going to claim to help Town, please make the claims very clear. Meanwhile, I'd be delighted to identify even one single Player I could trust. If anyone wants to spend a soapstone trying to convince me they're Town, please go ahead. It might be profitable for you!

Considering actions all happen at dusk or dawn it may be too late for Patricia to do what you ask and save herself. If she unhollows Guiri (don't think he's Town, but whatever) tonight then we'll know at the dawn of Day 3 - so even if she gets souls given to her during day 3, she won't receive them until dusk, at which point she might already be dead. Obviously she knows, but that's my interpretation of what she said.

I can't quote from the Day 2 thread, but I wanted to respond to patricia's Post 81: Chameleon did indeed confess to picking a player at random and murdeing him. Which makes her a killer. It does not necessarily make her Scum. And kudos to you for picking up whatever tell you picked up...but how is it that you're so certain you're correct? Did I miss a reveal somewhere? Or do you know something that the rest of us don't know? I didn't "miss" anything. I simply don't agree that the evidence necessarily points to the same conclusion that you do. As I said, and as you know very well, 'player with a killing power' =/= 'Scum'.

I have received a soapstone message from someone who is willing to help me use my power to un-hollow myself tonight. So I plan to use my last two souls to save myself. After that I'm willing to help either of the hollowed players (I will just need souls). And a big THANK YOU to the person who is helping.
On another note, Bill set himself up to be hollowed by posting how many souls he got from me. The question I have is did someone with a killing/hollowing power attack him for his souls or maybe the scum have day powers? Didn't see anything that pointed to a scum action last night? So I'm wondering if they have a day killing/hollowing power? Anyone?

As I said, and as you know very well, 'player with a killing power' =/= 'Scum'. The post was mine; Patricia quoted and agreed with it. Town Vigilantes (and Town-aligned 3rd-party killers) try to select Scummy targets. Chameleon, on the other hand, announced that she picked guiri "at random." I admitted that she mightn't be Scum but "hardly appears to be a valuable Town team player." Do you disagree with that? Chameleon wants to find a certain someone and kill her/him. Yes, she might be a truthful 3rd-party, but her win-con and behavior is hardly Town-aligned. And is it a coincidence that the Player she picked "randomly" to murder is renowned as one of the best scum-hunters in the Game? If you think it was coincidence, can I interest you in buying a certain bridge in Brooklyn? I suspect that you are not Scum. Your confusion about the fact that Chameleon was the best Lynch target, whether she is Scum or 3rd-Party playing anti-Town, is baffling. Scum are usually more careful than to appear so confused. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ As I stated earlier, I really wish I knew of a single human Townie. I think guiri is probably Town, but for my present purpose, I need a non-Hollow Townie.

Fucking hell. My apology yesterday didn't post?
Sorry I missed another vote. Seems I'm destined to contribute to the communal abuse of Story's awesome setups. :/
Catching up...

Obviously I am completely alone here - as I often am - but I really find the fact that Guiri sent me a private message about me attacking him, instead of coming right to the main thread very suspicious. I find it rather surprising that no one else does. Shouldn't he have announced the information here and left it up to me to defend myself out in the open, where everyone could have input instead of first trying to gain the information for himself privately? I could have sent him an elaborate lie, but I didn't. I may be wrong, but that's how I feel about it.

Sorry for being AWOL.
I don't see that as a decent defence. What guiri did was fine. Killing at random was a strange thing to say, why didn't you say you thought he was scum, that would actually be a defence?

And the message he allegedly received seems weird too: why didn't the Tracker announce publicly? But, weird or not, I don't see guiri's actions as Scummy. My best guesses are (1) he did receive a message but didn't fully trust it, (2) he wanted to give you a chance to lie and give away information (there was no hurry to reveal), (3) both of the above.

Night is over. I have been working on processing actions for the last two hours. Thanks to everyone for submitting actions - I hadn't realized how complicated this would be if everyone actually responded :-) I have to leave for my daughter's show (she's Annie! So hooray! And also auggggh!) right now and will have to finish later this evening.
