I could never see myself putting a Jester in. Too much chance of a short game.
That being said, I find it hard to understand why anyone would put in the role of a Cop who always investigates wrong (maybe if it was an open set up, sure, but, to me, the only reason to put it in and not tell everyone about the role is to play a bastard game, IMO.
What roles could you not ever see yourself putting in any game that you, at least, mod/create?

I'm guessing I probably shouldn't play this particular game just now, huh? :-)

Yeah, that'd probably be a bad idea.

Just curious...have you looked at the on-board game? The jester I put in seems to be working okay...
Anyway, I would never put in a straight-up serial killer. Too difficult for him to win. One with extra powers, maybe, or a different win condition, but not a plain one.

Actually, I CAN participate, thusly:
You'll never see a recruiting role in a game that I moderate or design. I doubt I'll play again in a game where recruiting isn't explicitly ruled out, either. I just think it kind of stinks for the player who gets recruited, because either (s)he loses in spite of contributing to a Town win, or (s)he gets win that (s)he can't really enjoy, because his/her sole contribution was probably getting recruited.

I'll never have masons who can steal the win from town. Giving them a separate win condition is fine, but town should never have to worry about being betrayed by a mason.
Oh, and I don't like recruiting, either.

Compulsive Suicidal vig.
And I'm wracking my brain to figure out a way to make recruiting fun and playable, but until I come with something, stick me in the same camp as Storyteller.

Heh. I have a game that I'm planning (my next one with NAF) that I thought I would absolutely positively have to use recruiting to keep with the spirit of the theme, but I think I may have found another way. I'll have to discuss it with him after this game's over.
I don't dislike recruits myself, but so many people here do, that I'm worried over getting signups.

I like the way the recruit works in the current SDMB game, for example and the way it worked in Seekham too. It isn't right for every game, but few things are. I think the only thing I would be totally opposed to these Days would be any role I didn't think had an equal chance of winning the game on Day 1 as everyone else. This includes straight survivor roles, straight jester roles, and straight SK roles. But play with those roles a bit and I would be fine with any of them. Also, I won't ever use resurection roles. Once you are dead you are dead. The closest I came was Gastard mod, and that wasn't really death in those roles so much as it was fake death.

This, as well, but for more practical reasons. It's annoying for a dead player (in my opinion) to have to watch the game, on edge, knowing that they might get revived. It's also annoying for the mod if that person stops watching and they have to find a sub for a dead player.
