For players, teams, happenings (i.e. Idle's size 7 text) or setups you think deserve special recognition.
(If this is popular enough, could it be stickied?)
Anyway...
Town: --The Simpletown Town (BlaM, bufftabby, pedescribe, WF Tomba, Koldanar, Queen of Town, Nanook, ShadowFacts, Menocchico, peekercpa, Sitnam, fluiddruid). This game is often overlooked, as it was overshadowed by Doperville and Cecilvania in quick succession, had a sizeable noob population, and was won via rule exploitation. However, I think they (full disclosure: I was part of it) approached the game in a surprisingly logical manner. After the Fluiddruid mislynch, each lynch was thought out (with aid from the detective), and there was never this we-are-hopeless air that you can feel in some other games. They won pretty handily, and even if Nanook had not been modkilled, it would have been a sizable win.
Scum: --The You-Solve-It Scum (Pleonast, OneandOnlyWanderers, HazelNutCoffee, Freudian Slit, sachertorte). This team had a slightly easier job of it without power roles, but the dossier mess loomed, threatening to remove that advantage. The highly planned manner in which the scum lied about them almost completly neutered their effectiveness. The fact that they adapted their playing style (stopped lurking after Freudian Slit was lynched, grew analysis after HazelNutCoffee was lynched) shows ingenuity, and I will never look at the line: 'assuming I'm town' in the same way again.
PFK: --Cieling Cat from GastardMod Mafia! (bufftabby) Bufftabby, bane of the scum, hero of the town, most popular of all the girls...wait, what? If you didn't have spoilers, her revelation was most shocking. If you did, you were giggling along with her story about 'detecting'. Incidentally, the fact that Kat spoke lolcat, and a lack of lolcat kept heat on the mods for what looked like a mod imposed restriction.
... ... ...

I still remember the night I stumbled upon You-Solve-It. I suddenly noticed just how popular some thread about the Mafia was, and figured I should take a look. It was about 2 Days away from the end, but I read the whole damn thing within 24 hours. I was pretty much frantic to play after that.
I would nominate Rysto's PFK win in Apocalypse. I definitely took my cue from him in how I played my own PFK role.

Doperville Mafia Scum (bufftabby, cckerberos, peekercpa, and Hoopy Frood): Doperville was a game that was newbie heavy. All the veterans were on town side as well. All four scum were vanilla, first time scum, and had a grand total of 5 games prior experience between them. (bufftabby had 3, Hoopy and peeeker had 1 each, cckerberos was a newbie). The team has the distinction of being the only scum team up to this point that did not lose a single member. Special recognition goes to peeker's counterclaim of the town detective.

There are several moments I'd like to mention, but if I did that it would just ruin everything I have planned!

M2, Day Two. All of it. If you were there, you'll understand; if you weren't, I'm not sure I could describe it adequately.
I miss Queueing. Whatever happened to him?

MonkeyMench too, but you might have needed to be in my seat for M2 to really appreciate how brilliantly he played. I was ADing a production of Hamlet durring the best portion of Day two in that game and remember refreshing the net on my phone over and over again while the light cues were being written. I have never had more fun at a tech rehersal.

It was superb. Well worth immortalisation. Oh dear oh dear. NBC left a farewell message. Illustrating it with a ... particularly well-chosen graphic.

As the power role who made him do it I have to agree even if he did describe me as a sexually transmitted disease
