Near as I can tell, they play "live", in chat rooms.
Huh.

Oh yeah, I came across that site when I first started playing. Sat in on a couple of games and it was very very different. Seemed to be a lot of vote XXX cos he smells funny going on. I don't know if all the games are like that though - let us know if there's anything good

Near as I can tell, they play "live", in chat rooms. Huh. I played a couple of their speed games. like a 3 minute Night and 5 minute Day. Straight set-up with Cop and Doc. It gets old quick as there are dominant strategies. Town fake claims to get NK'd. Quick vote switching at the end of a Day.

I played a few games and Ed is right, it's gets old quick. They also allow you to PM each other during the game and to me, that is not in the spirit of the game unless you get a role that you can do that with. I got a lot of votes for having a picture of me with Mickey Mouse...

I got a lot of votes for having a picture of me with Mickey Mouse... Try a Pokemon, you'll fit right in. Trust me on this.

sounds a lot more like the traditional mafia. When I first played it was in a party environment when I was a young teen. There was no talking between the mafia.. just pointing at who they wanted to nightkill. And there was a doc and cop. and then everyone voted during the day, unfortunately all you really have that you can go off of is peoples reactions to being accused. So you really had to read into how people defended themselves.
