Currently inebriated and making myself some bacon, egg, and cheese bagels. I normally have a protein shake before bed on workout days, but this will uh... do. Any other ideas? Preferably has less than 6 ingredients and can be made without precise control of motor functions. Or was thinking this thread was a good idea only a result of my current mental state...

At Purdue, this was basically the number one choice. Was on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.

I want some bacon. In fact, I could do with a drink, as well, but I probably shouldn't have one of those.

How funny!
My favorite (not that I have TOO much experience of course;) was instant mash potatoes and frozen peas mixed in. Add water, mix, microwave.
Yum yum.

Ah, student days.
I never tried one of these things, but some people did.
Microwaved Mars bars. Inna bun.
A steady seller for the snack bar attached to my Halls of Residence bar.

Ok this is wrong in soooooo many ways I can't even begin to count them...Oh wait, I will: 1) Drunk foo is always fried, cheesy or spicey or cheesy and fried or fried and spicey or cheesy fried and spicey or.... doh diverted from the list. 2) Peas *shudders* are always bad (mushy green vile smelling bastards), frozen are worse than bad, microwaved frozen peas defy description. 3) Mashed potatos are good, really, really good, made with the skins on and half and half and butter, topped with sour cream and maybe cheese if we are planning on having the old heart attack and leaving the estate to the kiddies in the near future, aaahhhhhhhh. I'm going to have a mashed potato orgasm any minute (cold medicine and wine are involved in this scenario). Instant mashed potatos are right out, sorry. Well at least my list was three long and I didn't have to hi that chick with the cats.

I think I saved my money for ... um .... more drinks I guess. Instant = Cheap & Easy. And from what I remember (from my ancient past!) drunk food just needed to be filling, a bit bland and HOT. Serious? All that greasy cheese mixed with booze? (my stomach just did flip flops)

Carlie: all the above was said in jest*. *Except the peas part. Peas should be banned from the universe or alternately served only to those on death row on a daily basis so when the end day comes they welcome it.

There is only one good thing to say about instant mashed potato.
The adverts for the stuff we had over here in the 1970s.
These little robots who found the idea of Earth women1 actually forcing potatoes through a square grid? The last scene was always the robots rolling around in hysterics.
The product itself (Smash) was vile beyond belief. There are worse things to eat, but not many.
1This is the 1970s we're talking about. Most people didn't think men cooked.

MHaye, we're seriously old! I'm with sinjin on the drunk food combinations - must involve frying and cheese at some point in it's construction. The spiciness part may depend on your alcohol level. Personally I don't think you can beat double pepperoni double cheese pizzas preferably with a bag of chips (fries) to mop up the grease coming from the cheese. Is it a UK phenomenon that a large number of drunk people choose to buy kebabs or is it global? Personally I've never been tempted.
