So my turn got skipped because I was AWOL and that's all well and good. Idle said I can jump back into the order reasonably soon so I figured I might as well start making progress on my game. I figure I'll have played a few more by then and well, the final episodes of Battlestar Galactica have gotten me in the mood to host a BSG game.
Originally, drainbead was going to host a BSG game and I was going to co-mod that before I went on to do a Bond or Fall of Rome game, but since she hasn't logged in since August, well, you see where I'm going with this.
I have an initial setup and off-site board ready, and if anyone wants to help out, I'd love a more experienced hand to work on balancing and the ins-and-outs of off-board logistics.
So say we all!

ummm... question.... I haven't been following the show since the beginning of season 3 because its too hard me to watch on a regular basis. I opted to wait until the show was finished and buy it all on DVD. Are you going to have spoilers built into your game?

To some extent, yes. There's at least (maybe only) one thing I can think of that you wouldn't be aware of yet. Nothing incredibly dramatic that couldn't be changed, I don't think.
Someone who isn't as far as you in the series would be spoiled, at least by the end of the game when all the roles were revealed.

how long from now do you anticipate you will be able to run your game? I may actually be able to catch up by then.

how long from now do you anticipate you will be able to run your game? I may actually be able to catch up by then. Depends on if I get a co-mod (Right now I'm taking JSexton up on his offer to help balance games but more eyes are a good thing) and where Idle decides to put me in the rotation. Id say around a month at the earliest, all things considered. In a rush I could probly have it ready in two weeks.

I'd be happy to help balance the game, but I know nothing about the color you'll be using. (Which means I'm unlikely to play the game anyway.) I could co-mod if your game starts after my current Munchkin game is over. I obviously wouldn't be able to help with color writing.

That's basically what I'd need help with, not the color but the ins and outs of running the game itself. It would be the first game I've hosted, and I know way more about the color than I do about running a game, lol. As far as when it would start, not for a good while I don't think. But it's up to where Idle chooses to stick me in the hosting queue. Id say at least a month away? As long as the game is "ready" at some point I could probably handle the actual modding myself so none of the co-mods would be tied to sharing that particular load and could run/play in their own games. I just wanna have it ready, and this being my first game, I figured getting that done as early as possible with experienced help would be the way to go. If that sounds cool to you, shoot me a PM and I'll get you up and running on the setup board
