There appears to either be misunderstanding over it's use or bugs in it or just not knowing exactly what circumstances it may or may not work under.
First of all, here is a run down of how to use it.
In every post, at the bottom, there is an "Add Quote" link. When you click it, you should see a (1) by it then. You may click as many as you want in a topic and then, hit reply when you're done.
When the reply box comes up, you will then need to scroll down some and you'll see the topic summary and, at the top, a default link that will say "Show topic summary" and one you can click that says "Show Quotes". Click "show quotes".
It will then bring a list up of all the quotes you clicked to add and you can insert them automatcially. If you keep the box checked, it will TAKE THE QUOTE OFF THE LIST as soon as it's inserted...or you can choose to uncheck it and keep it around.
Quotes DO and SHOULD be able to be carried from one topic to another.
However, there are many things that MIGHT not make it work so well.
For ONE, it won't work hardly at ALL if you're using FireFox. It will be VERY VERY buggy for you. The best browser to use it on is Internet Explorer.
Secondly, whether it works too well or not is also dependant on COOKIES. If you have a LOT of cookies or low disk space or percentage, it might not work unless/until you clean them out some.
Each quote, you see, saves a cookie on your computer FROM this website. Each quote that you click to save. So if you have problems with your cookies often or have them disabled or blocked, it won't work either.
And that's it really. If it's one or both of the above things, well, that may be why it's not working too well or at all for you.
It works fine and great for me. I can carry quotes from one topic to another and build up a HUGE list of them. Give it a try if you really want to use it..and it's a huge time saver. Seriously, it's nice to have.
I hope this helps people. Test it out some if you want, in this topic and if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask and I'll try to help out. Others may feel free to help out if they know answers too.
