I find myself in a strange place and I feel like sharing with people I'll likely never meet. (with the exception of two people who I'd have told anyway) I just broke up with my girlfriend two days ago. It wasn't ugly, and it was the right thing, and we're still friends, but that doesn't mean I'm chipper. Anyway there's a music loop where I work and a song that came on that hit me. It occurred to me that I have a song for every real relationship I've had. My firstMy second It's strange this lasted 6 years and this is the song I am least attached to. The latestThis song just, well, helps me grieve. Is anybody else like this? I'd love if you'd share.

I don't really and I'm sorry for your breakup (You could always throw yourself into my upcoming mafia game ) However, this "love" song i clicked off of the last link is just awesome

I love Tim Minchin, and am very amused that I knew exactly what song you were linking to just by the few words. Not a heartstring puller though. His rendition of Hallelujah though, well when I'm in the right (wrong?) mood, can literally bring me to tears.

Wow. I've heard a couple covers of thatnow , and I didn't think anybody but Cohen could do that song justice. I approve of this Tim Minchin fellow, A++++++++ would buy again. I won't go into details, but She's Not There by The Zombies, and Friend Is A Four Letter Word by Cake, both have particular significance. Other than that, The Wall has always worked fine when I have some sorrows I need to wallow in.

I also have the soundtrack for Les Miserables for that as well, but they don't tie to a specific person like my first three. While not the point, I will certainly push some Minchin.
