I can get alignment, not names nor actions. However, as I said, there are limitations, so it isn't as powerful as it would appear. Lets just say I'm better at telling which players are playing for keeps than telling which are scum. Hmmm...assuming you're playing it straight, that's some good stuff. One of the things that's been nagging at me was even if we found out everyone's truthful name and knocked off all the do-gooders, there might still be some PFK's lurking about (it looks like my initial assumption of one or two PFK's is out the window). Taking a page out of storyteller's playbook, a few questions for you: 1) Since you've already outed yourself, would there be harm in fully explaining your limitations (or at least providing more detail)? 2) Did you attempt investigations on Nights 1 and 2? 3) If so, anything to share there?

My ability is basically that of a stalker. There are certain limitations/dangers, but I can follow people, and discover what their goal is. Last night, I followed Ryjae. His role claim just didn't sit right with me. As it turns out, his goal is not my own, as Ryjae is Playing For Keeps. Well then, I take back what I said about him being a baddie. Do you know anything else about him or just his alignment? Also, vote DrainBead. Like I said yesterDay, she hasn't been sitting well with me for a little while.

Now this is when it would've been useful to keep Rugger around for a short while. Yes, yes, I know I called for his lynching as well...just saying, it've been nice to have been able to get rid of both of the, shall we say, unpleasant elements that've come to light this morning.

True, but while Ryjae may be a PFK there have to still be more Do Gooders out there. The PFK's don't seem to have false identities so I think we need to take DrainBead out first. Like I said yesterDay I think there are still at least 5 Do Gooders out there. I don't think there could be more than 3 PFKs left. The Do Gooders are a bigger threat.

Yes.
Yes.
No.
That was easy.
Basically, there are people I'm unable to stalk. (You try following Batman...) If I choose the wrong person I'll either get no result, give them my idenity, or, at worse, be killed (I'm glad I didn't investigate Santo).
I investigated CIAS night 1, but got no result. I investigated you night two (I had reservation's about the list), and was unable to use my power due to the freeze.

Now this is getting interesting, you're calling me playing for keeps? Before I straight out call you a liar do you get odds of false readings in your attempt?

Fair enough...the whole "or, at worse, be killed" bit can certainly be a deterrent. I'm not certain how it all works, but that's obviously part of the whole point, isn't it? Now then, onto another potentially interesting discovery: If you go to the Wikipedia page on Batman, scoll down to the bottom, and click "show" to the right of where it says "Batman" underneath the "External links" portion, something interesting is revealed. Take a look at the "Villains" list: Bane · Clayface · Harley Quinn · Joker · Killer Croc · Mad Hatter · Mr. Freeze · Penguin · Poison Ivy · Ra's al Ghul · Riddler · Scarecrow · Talia al Ghul · Two-Face · Ventriloquist Nearly every one of them (with the exception of Talia al Ghul) happens to be a confirmed or claimed role here in our happy little funhouse. Fifteen names...if we add in the three Pirates, that leaves spots for six do-gooders, perhaps? Nothing conclusive here, of course, but might this be how the mods settled on a final baddie list? Which would leave us trying to figure out why MHaye's little girl decided to take on a nom de plume instead of coming out as Talia al Ghul...is she in here, yet hiding from someone? And where does this leave Killer Moth's claims?

Then you're lying. Why are you lying might be easier to figure out now. If town lynches me, you will be next. So why would scum out themselves? Unless my hat fell on the right person initially, and it's known now. DB has some explaining to do.

Interesting Night and morning.
About BLaM and his run in with the Cannister of Cough...
The way the color was written about how BLaM came to be repellent to sharks, made me wonder if the repellent could be random somehow? This was quickly followed by a paranoid thought that a (Do-Gooder) BLaM had been targeted by his own team to be hit by the repellent on purpose, in order to make us second-guess the suspicion that was mounting against him yesterDay.
What it all boils down to, is that I am leery of the repellent being interpreted as any sort of alignment indicator, even though I know that it was used on someone I know to be a Baddie (NAF) the first time around.

Okay, well, the vote is fairly easy. Unless I hear a darn good explanation, I don't see how she can't be some sort of Do-Gooder.
Vote Drain Gead
As for Ryjae and hawk, it seems pretty clear that we've got someone we need to lynch between the two of them. At this point, I'm inclined to think it's the Hatter. hawk claimed he can't get a false reading, so he'd know that coming out like that, and us lynching Ryjae would certainly doom him for minimal gain. OTOH, he didn't bring this out until after Drain Gead was outted as being in disguise by the Riddler, so the only way I could really see him being scum is if she is important scum (Batman? Robin? Gordon?) and he'd want to keep her alive a little longer for some reason. Either way, we'll learn more by taking out Drain Gead first, so we should definitely put that as top priority.
That said, awaiting her explanation, here's my concern with the Mad Hatter in light of some thoughts last Night and this revelation. He claimed his powers unnecessarily, so why would he do this? Perhaps he thought if he didn't explain, we'd think his powers were bad so he had to quickly come up with an alternate explanation. Further, he mentioned his hats let him read minds, but this just doesn't jive with his backstory, he uses them to control minds. So, my theory would be that he's probably much like the necromancer in Conspiracy, or a Mad gomger, in that he just has to put hats on enough people 'til he has a majority, in which case he can just win at the exclusion of the rest of us.
So, Ryjae, please post your PM that explains your power. And I think if we still have any Night killers out there, he's probably a very reasonable target for Tonight.

Posted that too soon. What I meant to say is that I believe Hal is being truthful. I likewise believe that taking out do gooders is more important than taking out people playing for keeps. I just wanted to get the info on Ryjae out while I was still alive.

I'm getting a bad feeling about this. Is anyone else thinking this is going a little to easy? Is it possible that Hal is channeling story and tossing DB under the train to gain town cred?

If that's an issue, I hearby invite Mr. Moth to take another try at me. I'm baddie, through and through. Mommas, lock up your daughters. I'm so bad, I should be in detention. The real reason Michael Jackson was having finanical problems? I sued his ass for naming that album after me without giving me credit. Sha-mon.

Is it possible that Hal is channeling story and tossing DB under the train to gain town cred? Yeah, it does seem a bit easy. It also kinda worries me that Hal is still alive. I would have thought he would be the primary target for the DoGooders last night. yeah, Two Face did have a powerful role, but I would say that he still had the chance to acidentally kill fellow townies, so I find it odd that the DoGooders killed him first. I wonder if he was on to something - I'll have to go back and see who he suspected. If Hal is just bussing a do gooder to gain town cred, that's fine by me - we get to kill a do gooder. As long as we don't fall into thoughts of unconditional trust towards Hal, it's a win/win even if he is a do-gooder. I'm pro DrainBead lynch for now, but I'll hold my vote off pending an explanation. No sense in ending the day early.

That is a valid concern, though I think a fairly low probability. If we want to examine it. IIRC, Hal had said he would maybe look at me or one of the people on the Kat train, so it may be interesting to hear why he went against that. What would he have said had he not found scum? How would he have explained it then?

I would have thought he would be the primary target for the DoGooders last night. yeah, Two Face did have a powerful role, but I would say that he still had the chance to accidentally kill fellow townies, so I find it odd that the DoGooders killed him first. No great surprise there, really. Two-Face could also accidentally kill do-gooders. I assumed that there would be a WIFOM game going on between scum and the whoever our doc is -- either HM or I got the protection, and scum would just have to guess. Unfortunately, they guessed right. Of course, this is based on my guess that the doc actually did try to protect me last night. I don't know if that's true or not, and I sure as hell don't want the doc piping up on the issue. The way I figure it, I'm hoping to suss out one, maybe two more liars over the next few days. By that time, the scum will have found the doc, and I'm dead the next day. Cool by me...dead or alive, I win with town. Oh, and Leroy Brown stopped by this morning, shined my shoes, apologized for any problems stemming from any mistaken identity, and then left town.

Take a closer look, concentrating on the asterisk this time. I'm not in the habit of alerting my targets every time, so I intentionally didn't mention drain. Also, due to new copyright laws, Bad Brains, Bad Company and Bad Religion will now be forced to pay me royalties. Riddler Inc. is rolling in it now. Ok...I'm done with that...

Well, I didn't see anything in HockeyMonkey's last 50 or so posts that would indicate who she was planning on investigating. I was hoping she was onto something and that is what brought her demise.
But, now I'm tending to believe Hal that it was a WIFOM case and the DoGooders were assuming that Hal would be protected and therefore went after who they thought was the next biggest threat.
