until I see if we get a counter-claim on Velma.
At this point, I've got to say a counter-claim of any role would most likely be suicide for scum, because--as I said earlier toDay--there can't be more than 5 scum in a game of 22 players. Any more than five would have the game being pretty unbalanced (in my opinion)....so I figure there's only one scum (original or recruited) left. And they'd be found pretty quickly if they counter-claimed a role. Because you kill off one of the claim-ists--if they're not it, the other is.

Though actually that is my one remaining question: if Ed's kidnapped, can Guiri target her? My brain was refusing to parse that in context of Lightfoot's question, though I still don't know how he could annoy, say, me, in the library if I spent the Night in the attic. I asked Julie:

Here is my role: *************************************************** Hiya, scuzzlebutt. Or should I say "Lily McGee"? You are the Cook at Hotel Strangeways and you have a decision to make. Each Night, you get to choose how many Scooby Snacks you are going to bake. You may choose to make 0, 1, 2, 3, or 5 per player. You want Town to win through defeating all of the Scum players. To aid you in your decision, you'll get a bit of advice each Night from another player. You'll get advice you never asked for from people who don't necessarily know what they are talking about. Welcome to reality. Each Dawn, the Snacks you made overNight will be deposited into player accounts. The beginning number will be 2 Snacks. After that point, you may choose what to do. If you do not send a change, the number made the Night before will be retained. Please check in: psychopathgame.proboards.com/inde....ati&thread=1599******************************************************************** The only advice I got was from Julie on Night one. ********************************************************************* You have received advice to make 9 Snacks on Night 1. You can only make up to 5 Snacks. Currently, you have requested to make 3 Snacks, though you are welcome to change that number if you choose. ************************************************************************** I made 5 snacks the first night. 3 snacks the 2 night and 2 Snacks the 3rd night. I never got any advice from any other player. Since i had no idea what the snacks were used for it was a random number each night.

Heres how I started:
Day 1: 2 snacks (gave 2 away, received 1) Night 1: 1 snacks (got 6 snacks) Day 2: 7 snacks (gave away 7, got 2) Night 2: 2 (got 3 snacks) Day 3: 5 snacks (gave away 5) Night 3: 0 (got 2 snacks) Day 4: 2 snacks
so, aside from my extra snack Night 1, it matches up

yeah, so I guess gnarly must be the masons since Bob is voting for Greedy.
How likely is it that we're looking at another lurking Scum?
The Scum thread must be short. Story and FCOD aren't prolific posters, though they are active participants. Then add in Captain who couldn't have been following along, and Joanie....

I think it is likely that so long as BillMc was in the game, those of us who could receive "Advice" would get notification of the "best" way to use our powers -- though we would not necessarily be able to follow-through on that advice.
My advice to watch in the Wine Cellar was also delivered via mod.

My PMs have said:
You started Day 1 with 2 Snacks.
You started Day 2 with 6 Snacks.
You started Day 3 with 9 Snacks.
You started Day 4 with 12 Snacks.
I haven't given any away to anyone, but I think I may have gotten a few along the way from one or two people during the Days (I seem to remember Ed giving away one to each person a few times).

Actually, on day 2, I gave them to everyone whose sign-up number was prime, aside from myself. On Day 3, it was everyone whose number was a perfect square.

Anyway, the lack of a Night kill last Night seem to point to someone who might not be paying attention or a non-active player. It's possible that scum just didn't kill in order to throw everyone off the track and suspect a person not being active...but at this point, I'm willing to concede the possibility that the scum just didn't put in a kill because they weren't around.
Vote GreedySmurf
I may unvote pending his claim, if he comes in to post one.

Also, We have Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, Scooby Doo, Scrappy Doo, Yabba Doo, and Scooby Dum all accounted for. Either Gnarly or Greedy has to be Fred (unless there is no Fred, but I can't really see a Scooby Doo mafia being made without him).

By your lack of response I gather that no-one else gives a whit about the inconsistancy in Sister Coyote 's PM. (Perhaps it is common- how could I know) That leaves Greedy Smurf to show or go then.

So with guiri claimed I guess it's my turn. “Please check in:” Is consistent in every PM so far (that I have seen) except this one ? I noticed that too after you said that no one was going to address the inconsistencies in her post.

I don't know what the wincon for SCUM is but if there is anything to it there should be another Day to rectify it.

Also: it is not a good idea to base a vote or suspicion in mild inconsistency in the way the Mod has phrased things. An inconsistency like FCOD's "You watch to see if anyone leaves the Hotel" vs. "I checked on MentalGuy" is a player inconsistency and is a good thing to base a vote on.
A smart Mod running a closed game (which I know Julie to be) will make the phrasing of PMs inconsistent, so that Town cannot handshake based on knowledge of what's in a Town PM.

If I've learned anything in this game it is that any little thing COULD be something.
I recall Green vs Greene
Only the Mod and the player know if the Mod wrote a specific PM or not. So I mentioned my observation.
It may be nothing. If it is something I believe SCUM is so outnumbered that there will be another Day.
I am willing to leave it at that for now.
