And then there were 10. Yes 10 I think.
A police officer who was one day from retirement died last night. Funny how this happens. He was shot up as he was trying to get a bite to eat at a local diner.
Also funny how brazen the mafia attacks are getting lately.
Deni, Harold Fife, MASON COP (note: Not an actual cop cop, just a cop in flavor who was a mason.) died night four.
It is now day five. Deadline is at 10:00 pm cdt Monday the 7th.
And then there were Nine.
1 Mr. Special Ed 2 Inner Stickler 3 peekercpa 4 Honest Moley 5 Pollux Oil 6 JustBeingGinger 7 Gnarlycharlie 8 Lightfoot 9 billmc

So we're stuck between a rock and a hard place now.
The way I see it, there are two scenarios we're working with right now.
1. 21 people at start: 5 scum, poisoner is a town-oriented vig. That means there's 4 scum left, we're at lynch-or-lose. If the poisoner is town-oriented, they've done a terrible, terrible job and the only way we can win is if we a) lynch a scum toDay and b) the poisoner also hits a scum toDay.
2. 21 people at start: 4 scum, poisoner is third-party and has their own win condition. That means there's 3 scum left, and we're basically at lynch-or-lose because if we mislynch and the poisoner hits town we're done for.
There are other possible scenarios, like 4 scum left and a PFK poisoner, or 3 scum left and multiple PFKs, but under those scenarios we're fucked already and can't win anyway.
At this point, the scum probably are going to try and get us to lynch the third-party if there is one, because eliminating any third parties are usually in their win condition. Also, since we as town have been doing such a spectacularly bad job at lynching scum, the poisoner will probably be trying to hit scum this round if they are third-party because they don't want the scum to get an overwhelming majority.
As far as I can tell, we need to do a mass claim now, and fast, because if we mislynch toDay we're boned for certain. I think if we have a Detective, they should claim regardless if they have any useful information on eliminating suspects for lynch. If we have more than one Mason left, they should also claim regardless. We can't spend a lot of time hemming and hawwing about this because we only have 72 hours.
Peeker, Bill, Inner, Gnarly. You guys need to step it up and get in the game if you're town. If you're scum, just keep doing what you're doing and we'll suss you out.
I'm going to go to sleep, wake up, and look through the above four's posts first before I do anything else. Aside from peeker on Day One and Two I shouldn't have much to go through.
It bites this Day is going to take place primarily over the weekend.

I agree with Pollux's analysis, and that we are probably at lylo 5-4 or 4-4-1 I'm also a little tired of the "Bill is still alive he must be scum" Bonnie & Clyde routine from Moley and Lightfoot. Bill... I don't know what happened to the guy who was instrumental in taking out four scum in a row last game. I'm not getting a scummy / PFK "vibe" from you either, but I can't name anything you've done to clear yourself. The Gnarley vote, for example... all this new evidence, and that's the best you could come up with? Oh cut the hero worship crap -- obviously not happy with your scum buddy texcat getting lynched. As for Bill, his case on Gnarley basically amounts to him pointing out that Gnarley said "two of these are scum" when he obviously meant "two of these are town". Obviously?? and how would you know for absolute certainty that he meant town unless you knew the two folk he was referring to were town? Does anyone else read paulwiag's power as a what the? it seems like it would be more suited as a non-Towm power? If I'm missing something and it could benefit Town in some way could someone enlighten me? You're kidding rid? town gains a one shot vig - and that is not of benefit? It's a big threat to scum, and a nice big smudge on paul there. It may have been said before, but I find it unusual that Bill is still alive. Granted, it may have already been suggested that Scum has left him alone so Town would lynch him for not being dead, but this has gone on a while now. AND that combined with his not voting D1 and D3 seems rather odd. Granted, his vote ToDay for texcat makes me go hmmmYes, it has been suggested several times before by Moley and yourself. Maybe I'm judging him too harshly because he basically owned an entire scum team in "Wonderland", but I'm not seeing the same level of activity here as in that game. Oh my hero - you keep going on about this like a broken record And then we come to the command performance Ed votes for Moley and just look at the soft shoe shuffle. @ Ed I had a bit almost ready to go on Bill but Deon "smelled " worse to me Trying to get that Bill bandwagon going again eh - dodge the Moley vote. FTR I was seriously considering a Bill vote. I do think he's done practically nothing for the town. But I don't exactly have a choice here and I know I'm not scum, so... My feeling is still that Bill has done nothing for the town and there seems to be only four of us online right now. I am 100% fine with a Bill lynch, and would prefer it to a Deon one.. This is the most telling post .... more hero worship and Moley's reason is "has done nothing for the town" - rather than "is scummy" Moley doesn't care whether I'm scummy or not - he just wants rid of me. Vote: Moley and Lightfoot also reaks of scummitude.

You confusing me with Ed or something, Bill? I don't think I even mentioned you as a suspect, except maybe in a VERY offhand way, until halfway through day four. Could've voted for you any time and didn't.
Meh, whatever... it's your funeral.
Considering whether to take Pollux's advice and claim here. Will get back to you later on on that one. I've got work for the next eight hours so I'll let you know what I'm doing once I've had more time to think about what's going on.

Wasn't that exchange based on Dead players that have flipped TOWN? paul even agreed with me that the 'power' seemed less than helpfull ( and nice snip of the rest of the comment I might add) Talk about smudging. I was trying to find a benefit to the 'role' and asked. Not even sure where you went there and Lightfoot also reaks of scummitude.
bill obviously I ain't wrappin my head around this set up any better than most (looking at the track records) And I still stand by my comments . Hell even you can see that you still being alive in the game is a distraction for more than one player. Instead of "go ahead and kill me- you'll see and/or lose" you are taking a different approach. I'm not getting a big Town read on you and this post didn't help.

In looking over the posts from yesterDay, this one it bothering me the most.
********************************************************************
From Peeker Re: Day Four - Quiet Down You. « Reply #40 on Oct 31, 2011, 8:46pm » mod question: if deni self destructs will we learn her target?
now all be it if she decides to fire she should give us all a warning where the missile goes but crud if she doesn't then strecheroosky. reagardless of the flip. i really think if she is what she says she is then she should announce where the target is and give us a couple of hours or so to mull it over. plus if tex really can do what he says then it gives him time to place a protect down.
i'm missing something apparantly. off to bed. catch you fine folks on the flip side.
*****************************************************************
The part that I don't like about this is where Peeker wants me to announce my target first and then give texcat (Scum) the chance to issue a protective order for my target. So in the assumption at that point that I am town and I am targeting scum, why would they need protected? Now Texcat was not a protector but maybe there is a Day power vig in the SCUM team and that way by me announcing my target, it gave time for the SCUM team to act on something. Just a thought.
I am going out of town tomorrow and will be back on tomorrow night.
Vote Peeker
For the post above and your lack of voting.

BUT THAT SHOULD NOT GIVE ME A PASS OR ANYONE ELSE DEEMED TO BE NON PARTICIPATORY. i hope that they will be held to the same standard. matter of fact if someone uses rl as bullshit they should be fucking banned as far as i am concerned. and i kind of agree on the set up. but here is where i disagree with pollux. if we have a third party that person should be eliminated immediately. they will go wherever the wind blows. and since town seems to be catching a beating i want him/her dead before they basically become scum aligned and flop that way. and i understand the position we are in. but at this point it is death by frying pan or fire, so to speak. i think i caught his ass in the cookie jar. vote bill

Given how bolshy the suspected scum are, and assuming the poisoner is 3rd party, then we are most likely at 4-4-1 - so it's lylo.
If the 3rd party is lynched (4-4-0), then scum with the NK toNight. If a scum also dies of poisoning at dusk, then it is (4-3-0), 3-3 with the NK and scum win tomorrow. If a townie dies of poisoning, it's a scum win, nothing the town can do about that.
If scum is lynched (4-3-1), and scum is poisoned then it will be 4-2-1 The scum either NK town or the 3rd party (3-2-1 or 4-2-0) - turning the game around and giving town the advantage.
And if we mislynch town, the scum win.
So the only way Town stands a chance of winning this game is to lynch scum today.

Hell even you can see that you still being alive in the game is a distraction for more than one player. Instead of "go ahead and kill me- you'll see and/or lose" you are taking a different approach. I'm not getting a big Town read on you and this post didn't help. <snipped> ok, i admit i have been been less than engaged the last week or so. so i have been skimming to catch up and frankly am just reading this Day in depth since we get an extra hour today. so you accuse bill of being something because he is alive, right? and that causes a distraction, right? and he doesn't defend himself appropriately, right? and you want him to lay down to prove himself, right? WE ARE PROBABLY AT LYLO. WHAT A FUCKING STUPID POSITION TO TAKE UNLESS YOU ARE SCUM.seriously, if you are scum then you know bill is not you so a lay down wins it for your team if we are at lylo. that's three fucking strikes (or four depending on how you count). unvote allvote lightfoot (aka jeff bridges)and sure my vote was on bill before this one but i hadn't really read through. bad peek, bad. it was based on gut more than anything. i still think he is not town but i can't let this one go. and while i disagree with pollux about the need to eliminate any potential 3rd parties (paraphrasing) if we get an obvious scum lynch we need to take it. i think we bagged one. and guys i truly do apologize for not participating more the last while. and to be honest i probably won't be around for at least 4 months or so. wouldn't want ed to go all mother hen and shit.

My gut feeling is that the town is probably screwed anyway, because I don't see anything to back up Pollux's suggestion that the scum and a third-party serial killer (which I think we have) can't joint-win.
That said Bill, as much as I've disagreed with him in the past, I gotta agree with Peeker on this one. I for one am not inclined to give up a chance of winning this thing. I think you may have been right that lynching Lightfoot is our best chance of doing it. One thing I'm absolutely certain of is that lynching me will get you absolutely nowhere.
Therefore:
Vote: Lightfoot.

Add this to the fact that it is Day 4 (now Day 5) and Bill is still alive . No way of course to tell if he’s been shot at but . As much as I dislike his wrath I am going to Vote: BillMC This was written prior to Day 5 and not much else has come from bill ...that I didn't respond to above............... helpful summaries and running the numbers . It seems like nobody wants to do the mass claim. The detective apparently doesn't believe me or Bill that we're at LyLo. Okay, whatever. Our funeral.
Peeker, you really rub me the wrong way with your third-party stuff. Seriously, where is your head at this game? If we lynch third-party instead of scum today, we're fucked. Bill explained it.
Moley, you really irritate me by telling me how I should vote. Why did you pick me and Ginger out of the other people? What kind of huggy bear tactic is that?
Inner:
Voted Scathach on Day One *note: He says scat's vote is a typical scum ploy, find a player who made an error and hope town jumps on the bait
Didn't vote at all Day Two
Votes moodymitchy on Day Three *note: says it's because he disapproves of how mitchy switched opinions on DB's claim and pressuring her for info Switches vote to Ginger after mitchy claims
Didn't vote at all Day Four
----
Gnarlycharlie:
Joins game Day 3 - plays catch up all Day - does not vote
Does not vote Day 4, says he thought he had more time before EOD thanks to JBG's ability *note - mentions he thinks both texcat and Ginger are scum
More to come.

What I want to know is...Inner and Gnarlycharlie have both been to the board since Day started...surely they have something to say about LyLo and mass claiming? What are you, Interpol? I think you and Bill are correct in supposing 5-4 or 4-4-1 and that a split vote bad. I also don't believe that the poisoner is town oriented or else Drain Bead would not have succumbed to poison. There are four people on the lynching block right now. lightfoot(2): peekercpa[16], honest moley[17] honest moley(1): Billmc [6] Peekercpa(1): JustBeingGinber [10] Billmc(1): [del]peekercpa[11][/del], lightfoot[20] Of the nine players, presumably 4 of them are scum so even with completely random voting, we should have only a little less than 50% chance of nailing one. I highly doubt that all four players with votes are scum and this spread out voting is exactly what scum want. I suspect that BillMC is the poisoner and thirdparty and I think this is rather obvious so the person who should be lynched is the person pushing his lynch as a distraction. Vote: lightfoot

Add this to the fact that it is Day 4 (now Day 5) and Bill is still alive . Jeez, that record has been repeated more times than the simpsons. No way of course to tell if he’s been shot at but . Really? so despite all the deaths so far, you are implying that a) someone else had an additional killing ability b) that the doc protected me This was written prior to Day 5 and not much else has come from bill . By the rationale of just as I have come to the conclusion that he is third party so to could the scum team. It's already been determined that lynching a thirdparty would screw town over today so no, I'm not going to vote to lynch him. But you do want to lynch him. Why? Because you're scum and if you can get town to waste a lynch on the SK then you can win with the NK tonight. That's why I'm voting for you.

So after looking at the vote count summary, something twinged at me, and I decided to examine Day Three a little more closely. Why, you may ask? Well, simply put...Day Three is the only time so far that we know people have voted for scum.
Look at all that blue on Day One and Day Two. Aside from Ed, who is unconfirmed any which way, for the first two days every vote at the end of the Day was on a townsperson. The town is fucking off the rails entirely. There is absolutely no need at the beginning of Day Three for any scum to bus other scum. The town is currently chasing its own tail in circles. Now, here's how the votes go down:
Day 3 Vote Progression:
Post #03: I vote Ginger Post #11: Mitchy votes Drainbead Post #26: Moley votes Texcat *Note: Up until this point, texcat has not been under serious consideration for voting and hasn't received a vote in the first two Days **Vote Summary: Notes a smudgey post she made about sinjin on Day Two, dissects it as cause for a vote
Post #45: Drainbead votes mitchy Post #74: Texcat votes mitchy Post #75: Mitchy unvotes Drainbead, votes Texcat *Vote Summary: Bases his vote on texcat being an opportunist and using drainbead's vote to fuel fire against him
***NOTE**** At this point, the vote count stands at:
Mitchy (2): Drainbead, texcat Texcat (2): Moley, mitchy Ginger (1): Pollux ***********
Post #77: Silver Jan votes mitchy Post #79: Ginger votes me Post #87: Deon votes Paul Post #88: Lightfoot votes texcat *Vote Summary: cites Moley's 'she doth protest too much' analysis, in addition talks about texcat driving conversation away from Drainbead
--- I'm going to stop right here for a moment. See, here's the thing. At this point, Lightfoot chooses to place a third vote on Texcat, effectively tying her with Mitchy. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a reason for her to do this at this point. Is she bussing a fellow scum? Maybe, but honestly at this point the case against texcat is really thin. Same for Moley creating the texcat case in the first place: does Moley need to create a new case against a scum buddy when the town is chasing its own tail? Nope.
Also, this is done ~7 or so hours before Day deadline by Lightfoot. Also, note from the voting history that Lightfoot doesn't end up changing her vote.
Vote count at this point stands at:
Mitchy (3): Drainbead, texcat, Silver Jan Texcat (3): Moley, mitchy, Lightfoot Ginger (1): Pollux Pollux (1): Ginger Paul (1): Deon ---- Let's continue (here is where the fun time claiming begins):
Post #93: Deni votes Ginger (Post #109): Mitchy claims Doc Post #111: Inner votes Mitchy Post #113: Inner unvotes Mitchy Post #115: Inner votes Ginger Post #116: Drainbead unvotes Mitchy
Vote count is now:
Texcat (3): Moley, mitchy, Lightfoot Ginger (3): Pollux, Deni, Inner Mitchy (2): texcat, Silver Jan Pollux (1): Ginger Paul (1): Deon
***NOTE: Right now, texcat is in the lead for lynch votes, since she reached 3 votes first. ~2 hours left before EOD now. -----
(Post #121): Ginger claims Day vig Post #124: Drainbead votes Lightfoot Post #133: Deni unvotes Ginger Post #135: Texcat unvotes Mitchy Post #159: Pollux unvotes Ginger
Vote count is now:
Texcat (3): Moley, mitchy, Lightfoot Ginger (1): Inner Mitchy (1): Silver Jan Pollux (1): Ginger Paul (1): Deon Lightfoot (1): Drainbead
***NOTE: Texcat is now lynch leader by a mile with ~1 hour left before EOD. Eventual lynchee Silver Jan still has 0 votes. ***ALSO NOTE: Lightfoot has been active, posting, and discussing things throughout the craziness and has chosen to keep her vote on texcat. -----
Post #183: Deni votes Texcat Post #187: Texcat votes Lightfoot (Texcat also claims Day Doc) **NOTE: Here's yet another interesting tidbit. Texcat is lynch leader, with a little under 2 hours left before EOD. She has three options to vote for in self-defense (who already have a vote on them): myself, Paul, and Lightfoot. She chooses Lightfoot. Is she really bussing another scum this close to EOD? Probably not.
-----
Post #193: Deni unvotes Texcat Post #197: Ginger unvotes me Post #199: Ginger votes Silver Jan **NOTE: And here is the beginning of the end of Jan, with ~20 minutes left in the Day.
Post #203: peeker votes mitchy (the claimed doc) Post #209: Moley unvotes texcat, votes Silver Jan
(Post #210: Lightfoot posts something about peeker. Noting this since it shows she was still around, and yet still chose not to unvote texcat despite the claim)
Post #212: Deni votes Silver Jan Post #213: Texcat unvotes Lightfoot, votes Silver Jan
----------------
So now, with all this evidence presented, does anybody, anybody, anybody think that Lightfoot is scum? Please, please, please give me some indication here. She was big on texcat on Day 3 before the claim, on a shaky case. Texcat uses her as a vote save when she has other options. I'm almost tempted to put Moley in the same general column because he was the one who first came up with the idea for a texcat lynch, although he did do a last minute switch from texcat to Silver Jan.
