Do we assume the pairings were randomly chosen prior to the game's beginning?
We know it's not the top 2 voted. We know there are some red/blue pairings ( or can surmise such) IF there is a Vig (or some other extra killer) then the Night Kills don't tell us much. IF there are blue/blue pairings then it stands to reason that there are red/red ones too ( or I could be all wet) the 2 IF's above could cancel each other out too @ storyteller re: your comments about my vote and explanation on Deon since we ran out of Day for me to reply What I posted was the sum total of Deon's posts, I read it the way I read it. My post was being composed while JBJ posted her vote ( I was not aware of same at the time I was composing) Bolding and re sizing mine..... I bought this up on Day one and got shot down in flames for it .... Any reason why you missed it yesterDay ?

Well if we are to assume that the 2 Night kills were as a result of one SCUM action... it shows that they are prepared to risk losing one of their own in order to get the numbers down. But having said that. Surely for them there would come a point where (if they now how many are on their team).... they would know for sure that by placing a NK request would definitely mean that they would kill one of their own to... Or is my thinking just off on that one? are you assuming that the Scum do not know how people are linked? I've not seen any evidence to say that they are not ... I think that Inner Sticklers "worst case scenario" is really bad for the BLUE TEAM because that would also mean that during the Day .... If a BLUE TEAM member is looking likely to be lynched , and they are attached to another BLUE TEAM member... RED TEAM would know this and be more than happy to push the lynch that way... I just feel that IF they have that knowledge... It makes them very powerful. I guess we'll have to wait another few Days to see what transpires , and I do realise that by the sheer nature of the game... Even then we might not have an answer.

@Lightfoot
How exactly has it changed the way you were looking ?
Even on Day 1 with no deaths... there was now't stopping you from theorising that the pairs for the collars were chosen randomly...
What's so revealing about 2 BLUE team members dying Night 1 that's made you think this way ?
And toDay ... we have had one Lynch... which we know caused 2 deaths...
And 2 deaths overNight of which we are only guessing as to whether the 2 players were linked by a collar or were victims of 2 separate actions.

1. The Day/Night Cycle Day 1 and 2 will last for five days (120 hours), Day 3 and 4 will last for four days (96 hours) and subsequent Days will last for three days (72 hours). Each Night will last for 2 days (48 hours). All posts will be timestamped against the server clock. All votes must carried out BEFORE the deadline. Actions carried out on the deadline will not be accepted. I trust you can add 120 hours to the dawn posts time stamp.

CIAS has already said that a lynching will activate the wedlock collars as long as no impediment exists and has refused to comment on the effects of NKs. For the time being, until I see evidence that a vig exists, I'm assuming that NKs trigger the collars as well. Pollux, I'm trying to decide if four kills a day makes a spllitting power more or less likely . I guess the only way we'll know is if we lynch someone and only one person goes. I think four kills makes it a lot more likely there's some sort of splitting power. In fact, I would think it almost guarantees it. My reasoning why? Well, the fact is, linked collars basically mean that any sort of power role on the town (or scum, if they have them) side is half as effective. Any sort of detective role is losing 4 people per Day, two per Night, which seriously cuts down how helpful they can be. Plus, their role becomes useless if they identify a town-aligned person because they wouldn't know who they're linked to or what alignment that person is. But combining a detective with a splitting power, so a confirmed town can be split from their opponent, gives the town a slight advantage. However, the color doesn't indicate that it was detonated collars that killed guiri and Silver Jan during the Night. I'm not certain one way or the other, in terms of whether it's scum+linked collar, or scum+vig. Scum being able to ice just one person and not worry about links seems to level the playing field a bit. We'll see as more evidence mounts. ----- I do have a bit of non-game-related news I need to share. I got some bad news on Friday: my dad's been diagnosed with cancer. They caught it early, which is good, but he's starting chemo on Monday. I'm going to try and focus on the game because I need to focus on fun things so I don't drive myself nuts. But I'm not sure how well I'll be able to do it. If I'm off my game in the coming weeks that's why.

@Lightfoot (again)
Yes you are correct that I did mean 1 lynch yesterDay... thanks for pointing out my error ..
What does YMMV mean ?
And I still don't see why having some deaths to go on makes you look at things differently with regard to how the pairings were chosen,
The pairings were picked before the game started, how they were picked we can only guess... Having NO deaths... or some deaths... does nothing IMO to change that .
@pollux Oil, hope all goes well for you Father.

In reading the Day, it is all about what might of happened to Guiri and Jan.
Vote Archangel
For what seems like a bandwagon vote on Deon. It seemed like a safe place to put her vote... Also due to the fact that she has not even tried to post toDay.
OOG/ I might be out of town at my friend's funeral in the next up coming days.

I am going to focus on Mr. Special Ed for a bit...
BAH!!!
(Since he does that alot lately and I have to include it)
I have an issue with Special Ed's vote on Day 1. He pointed out that Silver Jan was leaking scum (post #161) but didn't vote for Jan until Post #193. At that time, a few other people had started to vote for Silver Jan... That, and the fact that I feel like he is posting without contributing much, leads me to Vote Mr. Special Ed

In that game he was town. I'm not saying Ed's playstyle = Ed's towniness, but his short posts and BAH!ing is at best a null tell. Either he didn't change it up from last game because he's town again, or he didn't change it up from last game because he's scum and didn't want to look like he was changing his playstyle.

The main reasoning why I did vote for Ed was because he didn't place a vote on Jan until after a bandwagon had started on her. It just sticks out to me when I reread Day 1. While Ed's playstyle is... unique... I'm not basing the vote on that.

Most of her posts seem helaciously back and forth on Jan - having her in her "town" reads while suddenly dropping them for no reason and voting Jan. Of course I go back and forth. Why wouldn't I? More importantly, why wouldn't you? On Friday Silver Jan did something that I found to be typically Townie. I felt strongly that she was Town based on this. But her behavior was extremely uneven (do you disagree with this? do you feel that I should have her first post into account, but then ignored everything else she said?). I didn't "drop them for no reason." I stated my reasons, quite explicitly. You are so off base. My concern with Special Ed goes beyond his vote for Sister Coyote. His entire approach to this game is deliberately obfuscated. This concerns me. Does it not concern you? I was "preoccupied" with the time -- specifically the lack thereof. If I recall correctly, the post to which you are referring was posted with less than 24 hours in the Day and at that point we hadn't generated enough voting or discussion or pressure to warrant a single claim. Day One claiming is the typical outcome mid-Day. So, yes, the lack of sufficient voting to yield a claim that late in the Day concerned me. More importantly, I have openly stated that this concerned me. Why do you find my concern problematic? How does my observation of the game state make me suspicious to you? Nitpick. I assert that there is a difference between wanting to lynch Special Ed and having good reasons to lynch Special Ed. That isn't to say that my position is unjustified only that, Special Ed and his "new playstyle" are deliberately hiding his thoughts and intentions. That is absolutely sufficient reason to lynch the crap out of Special Ed. BUT! I can't hang my hat on anything he has actually done because he is hiding everything. I adamantly disagree that my wanting to lynch Special Ed is due to "policy." There is so much wrong here I don't even know where to begin. Do you even know what a policy vote is? Or why they are bad? Policy votes obfuscate the intent of the voter and hide alignment across the continuum of games. In this game we have Special Ed and his "new playstyle." There can be no policy on this matter because this is Special Ed's NEW playstyle. A policy vote is establishing a generic reason to vote and applying that generic reason in game. Special Ed's new playstyle is not a generic reason. It is a very specific one -- we have a specific player and a specific course of action selected by that player. Given paranoia's post and my subsequent thoughts on it, I'm worried that I'm going to be too focused on paranoia. The Silver Jan stuff I guess I can let slide since we know Silver Jan's alignment now, but the Special Ed stuff has me baffled. Why the hell isn't paranoia suspicious of Special Ed too?Or put another way simply to amuse myself: Paranoia, I'm concerned by your lack of paranoia regarding Special Ed.

So you provide no substance but cast a vote for someone because they aren't providing substance? And you didn't even provide that line of thought when casting the vote? By my estimation, you should be voting for yourself.

Okay. I'm back. Weekend was busier than I thought it would be.
First off, I'm going to go back to my original vote on Day One.
Vote: Inner Stickler
When I originally voted for him, he had a lot to say about the part of my vote reasoning that critiqued him changing the discussion to policy that may or may not affect this game. He had nothing to say about my other reason for voting him, which was the fact that he was telling Town power roles to take a backseat in discussions about game setup just in case they slip, which gives Town no info at all, but could clue Scum in about who the Town power roles are. I think he had nothing to say because he knew it was indefensible.
