Failure to lynch would point, imho, to no-lynch. So for all of the folks who want to lynch Ginger, is it worth a possible no-lynch to you? well it might prove something. seriously, cookies do we shy away from a lynch just because someone doesn't die? while i fully endorse getting rid of scum and hostile 3rd parties if all they have to do is declare they are unlynchable it don't mean shit then fuck. most times the lynch record is what it is. the fact that the lynchee doesn't die is kind of ancillary information. it does not change the "logic" leading to the lynch. and it most certainly paints a NK on that person's back, or at a minimum another attempt to get rid of not realy helpful. and since i know what i know i find it exceedingly doubtful (although gasterd) that there are a whole shit pot of folks that can't be killed. this fucker will last past the shopping season that celebrates a crucifixion if that is the case.

This is very true. I asked: So if I have the most votes to be lynched and I because of my powers, who gets lynched or does no lynch happen for the day? This was the response: Your power is effectively a permanent Scotsman power. They will attempt to lynch you but it will fail. So in a nutshell, at square one. And yet he did answer you. Typically when a Scotsman power is invoked there is no lynch. The lynch doesn't go to the next highest voter as you suggested. unvote JBG in case she is telling the truth about the Scotsman part and hopefully the vig will take care of her. vote Colby If Skeez is telling the truth I think we must have a recruiter. However I don't believe Colby is the recruiter. oh ffs. unvote allvote ginger vote cookiesshe lied. that leads to immediate death. oh nnnnnooooosssss she might escape the noose. let's pick another poor bastard/bastardess since a non death is soooooo bad. fuck that. let's at least try to kill the fucking liar.

I think this is a great time to test multiple claims/mechanics. Lets not lynch Ginger, and instead leave her to Pizza and his bloodthirsty buddy. If she's Town and dies, that's a datapoint against Pizza. If she's Town and doesn't die, thats a data point in favor of what Pizza is telling us, and if she's 3rd party or scum and dies, then yay us.

I'm already not voting for Ginger and I haven't ever thought she was a good lynch, but there are reasons why a no-lynch can be seen as worse than the mislynch. Not only does a no-lynch march Town no closer to their win condition, it provides no mod-confirmed flip. Flips can provide all sorts of useful information when you apply the flip to the game history and see who was going after that dead innocent Townie or who was defending that scummy scum. If she survives, we'll know that at least the lynch-surviving facet of Ginger's claim was true, but we'll still be in the weeds about the rest of it.

Oh awesome mod, if the player set to be lynched is protected by a power of some sort, does the second person with the most votes get lynched? Only one person is lynched per Day, except in cases where that's not true and multiple people are lynched in one Day. Hope that helps. mod question: what is the penalty for editing a post? is it just a penalty vote or will multiple edits in any given "session" result in increasingly harsh penalties? kthnxbye Per the rules thread, you get a penalty vote each time you edit, but those penalties will be absolved at EOD.

JustBeingGinger, I have a question about your Power: If I understand your claim correctly, it works like this: You pardon someone, so that instead of being lynched, they are 'jailed' for the next Night/Day period. At the end of that next Day, you choose to have them live or die. What happens if you are killed that Night, while the player is in 'jail'? Do they live? Do they die? Do they turn into a cat? I asked the Mod this and his response was that my decision to pardon or kill would still stand if I was Nk'd

I think this may be worth a shot, but if she doesn't die, how will we know she whether she's Town and that Pizza should get a point in his favor? We'll be stuck having to take both of their words for it without anything firm. It would be a data, but not anything I'd be converting into points in anyone's favor necessarily.

Good points, but it would be data that could be fruitful later. Forex, she doesn't die, but does later and is revealed to be Town. Minor points for Pizza. Or she later dies and is revealed to be scum. Big red mark on Pizza's chart. Or Pizza dies later and is revealed to be town, mark against Ginger. There's data there, even if it doesn't develop right away.

I have a question for Sister Coyote, Rich Beckman, and lauriern:
You've all unvoted Ginger because you don't want a No-lynch, But you haven't voted for anyone else. Do you plan to? At this point, Ginger is still well in the lead, so we'll have a no-lynch anyway (assuming she's telling us the truth).
Or do you plan to just sit back and wait for everyone else to remove their votes as well, so that if they don't and we do wind up with a no-lynch you can say "not my fault..."?

If I’m not thinking straight. correct me please (I’m not being lazy- I’ve been busy as hell IRL- and I’ve been known to miss shite even when I’m on the ball )
I’m finding colby’s soft claim confusing and therefore suspect.
IIRC Colby had some vote pressure D1 + D2 and started D3 with some as well
He eluded to – and then soft claimed that he was a Town recruiter “ pleo might have claimed true N0 “ –he flipped Town on death and Colby claims to have flipped him ( but voted him as well)
D3 Colby points towards the second player killed N1 – who flipped Town – as his second recruitment attempt.
He could string us along for a long time claiming to have targeted EVERY Town player that dies
I don’t recall Colby telling us WHY he chose his targets? I did a post check = didn’t see any
If true, he can recruit some players for Town . Cool
If not true we can’t prove it until he dies
he gets no notification if the recruitment worked/failed.
in my mind his “claim” should not give him a free ride
perhaps more meat will sway me but at this point I don't want to tricked
Vote: colby

If she's Town and dies, that alone will tell us nothing about Pizza, because the reveal won't tell us who killed her. The only way it's telling about Pizza is if we know she's killed by a Town Vig. If she's Town and doesn't die, that won't tell us anything at all; since she's not dead we won't get any sort of reveal.

Colby has already ignored my questions - He's posted since I asked them and no response from him. Really waiting for Pizza at this point. I am very suspicious of Colby - less so of Pizza, but I still wonder if they are both Scum and came up with a really great plan......

Hit post too soon:
NETA - I'm really wondering how it works between the two of them. For it to be really effective, they would have to be able to co-ordinate. I wonder if their powers are Day or Night powers (or if one has Day and one has Night).

Ok after rereading the thread I am having a very hard time wrapping my head around what is going on here today. I think that perhaps there is more to this colby thing, however if there is a town recruiter and they haven't counter claimed I can only see 3 more possibilities.
1. Colby is telling the truth. I find this harder to believe because sometimes it comes across that he is trying to fit the game history to what he NEEDS it to be.
2. If there is a recruiter and it isn't colby they haven't counter claimed because they don't want the target on their back. Scum and hostile third parties would really want the recruiter gone because of obvious reasons.
3. There is no recruiter, only 3rd parties that can be converted to town if visited by a town role.
I am more likely to believe the 2nd and 3rd option only because of things that have been said and done in this thread. I think that colby would be notified if his recruitment was completed effectively.
vote: Colby
I don't like redskeezixs vote on me. He voted me for previous reasons which one of them was being a lazy voter. He didn't give much explanation for his other vote and this came across as being very lazy also.

this may come across dis jointed- but I'm trying to post my thoughts/ observations whilst I have the time
ATPG soft claims that he can protect a Town player from a Town Vig if he tags them ( and 50% of them will pee blue when tagged? ) did I miss where we were told if the ‘tagging’ lasts all game?
I don’t see people jumping up saying they peed blue ( not that they would –now ) so another unconfirmable soft claim- the Townie is not likely to say “ hey I’m Town and tagged so the Town vig can’t kill me”
The Town Vig ( if we really have one) is not going to say “ Hey I’m theTown Vig and I tried to target Fred and couldn’t “
Add to this that ATPG seems to be advocating- - Colby staying alive
I'm thinking out loud may vote there though. would like to see replies to my thought process but it appears that not all questions/suspicions will/are being answered

Also the JustBeingGinger claim is bugging me. I'm busy with RL too, but I would not have assumed Mod error in my PM and edited it. I would have asked the Mod. It just seems like she's covering up. Sooooooo, Vote: JustBeingGinger
To set the record straight, I never said that the mod made a mistake. I stated that I did not understand what hostile and non-hostile really mean't. In order for me not to be a threat to scum, I thought it sounded better to put non-hostile.

You are right, you did post this about not understanding hostile vs. non-hostile: www.idlemafia.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=poll&thread=2049&page=5#99150I guess what I meant to say at the time is that I would have asked for clarification from the Mod on H vs. NH and not just changed the designation. (moot point now - my vote is no longer on you - just wanted to clarify.)
