My mother-in-law made a goose for Christmas a couple years ago. I was expecting it to be greasy, as I had heard that's how goose often was, but it wasn't. It was a bit dry, but that was admittedly an error on the chef's part. Overall, it was comparable to turkey.
My biggest complaint was that it was too small, leaving not nearly enough room for the stuffing. I would really like it if instead of breeding 'large breasted' turkeys, they would breed them with larger ribcages, so as to leave a bigger cavity...

Obviously a man of sense and sensibility, you are.
Stuffing is why you cook a turkey.

Ah yes, the royal rumble.
Now unless we want to be one of the dozen normal-sized, mid-card wrestlers that gets thrown over the top rope mostly to remind the audience that the big strong dude is big and strong, my recommendation is that we work together to figure out when they're entering the ring, and make sure we beat the crap out of them and toss them over the top rope as fast as possible.

HERETIC! vote: Dressing (and also Burby but I won't do that in case I come back and forget to unvote after the weekend. Ah...the eternal 'stuffing vs. dressing' debate. I prefer my spiced bread product to be crammed inside a large bird, where it can absorb all of the gamey goodness contained therein. And having managed to reach the ripe old age of 45 without dying of food poisoning from undercooked stuffing, I'm not particularly worried about catching bird flu or whatever it is that I'm supposed to have already died from. You can have your dry, vaguely turkey-flavored 'dressing' all to yourself. It just leaves more of the good stuff for me So....cranberry sauce... Homemade, or sliced straight from the can as God intended? fuck, last game i agreed with charles one time and i had to double up on my lysinopryl. and now i agree with burb. i've been cooking turkeys for longer than most of you have been alive. the stuffing goes INSIDE THE FUCKING BIRD. and yes cranberry sauce should have little ridges around the outside. shit, i am not doubling up on the damn diuretic. maybe two baby aspirins tonight instead of one.

Sweet potato pie beats the crap out of pumpkin pie every single time. That is all. Agreed. Although my sis-in-law makes a layered pumpkin pie variant with spiced whipped cream topping which is pretty darn good. What I don't get is green bean casserole. No thank you. Why is that abomination popular??

All I have to say is my Thanksgiving Lasagna was amazing. I somehow gained 2 lbs yesterday even though I behaved myself. I'm hoping it's just some bloat, because I wanna be all hot an skinny for the new year . I like whoever else said it? MHaye? Despise turkey, and don't really eat it, although my Uncle did a fantastic job making it this year and I actually enjoyed a piece. And unfortunately, our stuffing was made outside of the bird.....Damn Gluten allergies ruining that one. It was still yummylicious.

That would require to have a line for Internet, which won't be fast out here in BFE... I think I might see some Fable 2, 3, Oblivion, and Skyrim in my future Snipped from other thread fable is always enjoyable and skyrim was awesome fallout series was pretty good too This seems like a conversation for another time.... Like when my 360 is in my possession (and they didn't have very many good games at Black Friday at Walmart, I checked. Could have gotten the cheap 360 there, but I chose to wait, don't want just 4GB of memory)

It's the green bean/mushroom soup combo that I find unappealing. Pass the cornbread dressing instead.

attempt to be useful-
A random day one lynch is fine, although random on day one is the weakest kind of random lynch. The odds are stacked against. Further, if the vote is not close, you also learn nothing regardless of whether the lynch is successful or not, other than the identity of the condemned.
The alternative to a random wagon, which I feel is the least useful day one strategy, is the concerted effort to put pressure on the scum. In this case, our main opponent, regardless of our faction.
The idea being a spread vote pattern, rather than say 13 votes on X and 5 votes on Y, more of this pattern:
A has 4 votes B has 4 votes C has 4 votes D has 3 votes E has 3 votes F has 3 votes Rest have 2, 1, or zero.
The reason being, this improves our odds that a person we want lynched gets "pressured" Day One.
Telling is, who they get pressured by.
Using this spread vote strategy, you *will* have the odds in your favor a guilty-from-your-perspective person will be on the brink of death.
Now, the odds are also good that they, or someone else, will make a "move" to allow them to escape from death, This is called the flinch.
The flinch is hard to identify right away, however: if the person being spared and the person sparing them are both still alive much later on, and make no concerted effort to eliminate each other, that suggests a partnership.
Which is more useful data than analyzing a massive wagon that never had a chance of reversing, that landed on an allied person. That tells you nothing.
The other thing: The odds are better that any individual vote will count. If a scumbag is in the top 6 suspects and there is only 1 vote separating all 6, that means the odds someone makes a move and kills someone you need dead also improves, whereas a large stupid-wagon usually won't reverse itself and the vote is not dynamic, and usually the only alternative to the main lynchee is to dogpile the number 2 candidate.
Objective here is improve odds we pressure the right people, and also, keep our options alive.
Since day one is a crap shoot anyway, my request is that we act like an intelligent collective, put serious pressure on scumbags right away, and possibly either day-one nail a scum, or at least make it a close call, which makes them sweat, flinch, or leaves voting patterns to analyze later.
Suggestion: Nominate some folks who have zero votes. Once we get about 7 or 8 of them, start placing a secondary vote on the nominees. Make it a horserace.
Alternative: random wagon someone and don't make it close. But that's not only boring, it's generally bad policy.
