First off, glad to see you catching up, notyetdead.
Now, I won't presume to speak for Blaster, but it seems to me that most of the smudging again Gad stems from how Very, Very Helpful he was. He was forthcoming and insightful -- and sometimes, that's a damn good scum tell.

I, too, would like a primer of Undead Gad suspicion. It looks to me like the ones who were initially casting suspicion his way were scum. When did he start being a prime candidate? I've noticed, primarily, Auto and NAF pointing fingers at him in Days past. Several crewmembers have alighted upon suspicion of his in the last 2 Days (I think Hockeymonkey and Blaster come to mind-- I mentioned him as well), it seems to me, while no one was ever suspicious before and he's never received a vote. Is that what has everyone in a tizzy? Do any of us have any reason to be suspicious of Undead Gad aside from vague nervousness, fear of Jedi-mindtricks, and the fact that he was/ is too helpful? Maybe he is the master of the game, but I want to make sure we know what we're basing this on.

Blaster Master, since you're here: I am trying frantically to catch up, and I'm trying to focus on the discussion re: Lakai because that seems most pressing right now. I am having trouble understanding your case against him - it seems to involve voting blocs and traps and what not - and was hoping you could summarize it in a few quick sentences. Just outline the theory, because it seems fuzzy to me. (NOTE: This is emphatically not a Finger of Anything at All. Just looking for clarification). Understandable, that was some very convoluted logic on my part. That logic was mostly put together as a "Okay, if we lynch Lakai and he shows up as scum, what next?" I think my initial logic against Lakai makes more sense on its own. You can read that in Post 6.47 . However, to respond directly to your query, it was largely on my Psuedo-Random Hypothesis, and it seemed to me that those of whom I was most suspicious were very well spread out, in terms of posting and voting, in a way more consistent with psuedo-random than true-random. It was also partially because of this that I was suspcious of Gadarene. Now that NAF has been exposed, it would make more sense to focus a little harder on the other posting groups for scum, and this is why my focus is more directly on the others in my suspicion list.

He was forthcoming and insightful -- and sometimes, that's a damn good scum tell. I think that question wasn't directly focused at me, but I'll try to clear up my suspicion of Gadarene. Namely, I was not at all until the last couple of days. Something twinged my spidey-sense, but I don't know exactly what. However, because of the revelation of NAF, my suspicion is largely allayed for now. I don't expect I'll be looking that way, until the rest of my top candidates are either dead, exonerated, or just plain clear that I won't get them lynched.

Ok, up to the moment analysis of the history of suspicion of Gad. It seems to have started on Day 5.
Gad suggests to Mad, who has a couple of votes, to defend himself a bit before he leaves for the day
NAF 5.130:
[editorial comment: WTF?]
5:131, Gad:
Then then go back and forth a few times. Following that not much for the rest of the day but the occasional smudge from NAF.
NAF 5.137: FOS on Gad, Lakai, and Tirial-- throw them at the wall and one's a pirate, he's sure [is this the proverbial smoking list of three?]
DAY 6 6.63-- BM thinks one of NAF, Gad or Myself (capybara) is scum [is THIS a proverbial smoking list of three?]. 6.72 NAF happily picks up on that and starts questioning BM about his Gad suspicion 6.73 Capy expresses vague unease about Jedi in response 6.74 BM notes vague twinging effect
DAY 7 7.4 Hockeymonkey notes pinging of Gad on recent scumdar. Again in 7.29 7.31 FCOD agrees with suspicion that Gad might be Flint. 7.49 BM reports Gad- twinging again. 7.53 HockeyMonkey posts a selective Gad history 7.60 Sir Blah notes Gad's helpfulness as possible scum tell. 7.62 and 7.63 BM starts to back off of Gad in accordance with his Rosenkranz and Guildenstern distibution model.
I only give this analysis of the birth of a bandwagon because I've been nigh-convinced Gad is crew and wanted to see where the initial statements of doubt first were voiced. Any thoughts?

[editorial comment: WTF?] I'm not sure if you're asking what "WTF" means, but in case you are, it's "What The Fuck". 6.63-- BM thinks one of NAF, Gad or Myself (capybara) is scum [is THIS a proverbial smoking list of three?]. Aren't "smoking lists of three" supposed to be provided by scum? If that's the case, then this would be making you and Gad look like crew, and BM look like scum. No idea if that's the case here, but that's the logic behind a SLo3.

You know, now that I think about it, can we even buy anything about a "smoking list of three" anymore? Yes, they were great for picking up clues in the first few games, but are scum really going to be going for the same old tricks?

No idea if that's the case here, but that's the logic behind a SLo3. FTR, the "SLo3" is used for a "here's whom i'm most suspicious of" or "here's who I trust most"; the list I used is derived directly from the Post Count list where a clear break exists and based on PRH, I suspected that there is probably a pirate in that bunch. This is also exactly why I'm laying off the whole Gadarene suspicion deal for a while, because I'd rather pursue a different group because we've already found one in that one.

[editorial comment: WTF?] I'm not sure if you're asking what "WTF" means, but in case you are, it's "What The Fuck". Nah, I know; I was thinking when I read this, "What The Fuck." At the time it seemed a strange way to be interpreting what Gad asked Swine. In retrospect it looks very interesting, in fact. Did NAF indeed already know at that time that Mr Pig was Steele? And about smoking lists of three, I asked that in order to work out what people were talking about when referring to this-- verifying things, as is a |\|00b. I saw lists of three and wanted to make sure that was the kind of list of three we were looking for-- didn't mean to FOS BM. Got a little analysis-happy. ([game off] And I'm very sorry that I keep abbreviating your name to BM. It's so scatological. But then again I kept noting people talking about AZT and automatically wondering who was sick. . . felt like the 90s again]

I think your idea has merit, but not toDay. I would like to know who Captain Pig watched, however. I suspect he watched himself, so that won't help us anyway. --FCOD Ok fine....I watched you. Again I have to be gone all day Saturday and most of Sunday...with my new job my schedule changes very quickly and I have to go when I am needed, which is why I am here today when I said I wouldn't be.Though I would like to gather more info again, I don't wanna take the risk of a Lakai quick lynch before I get back Sunday evening.Plus he is getting me hammered every night. There is gonna be at least one pirate left since the attempted murder of Doctor (FCO)Doom was not carried out by Flint. Ya'll wanna play a guessing game? First correct answer gets piss drunk with me, courtesy of Lakai.Or should I just tell ya? (I really have my doubts about Lakai being scum since they didn't send him in last night.) Unvote Lakai

OMFG Mister Pig, you love this game. So. . . you know who attacked the doctor, AND you know who Flint is? Or, ah, I see-- you'd have known it was Flint if is had been. Let's see. . . pulling a guess out of my ass. It's not FCOD, hah, so you can't do the "who do YOU think it was, Professor Moriarty?!" again. . . do we get any hints?
