Look, it doesn't matter anyway. If I'm going out (and unless Rajaat uses that investigation, it seems that I am) then let me go out in good humor instead of jumping through useless hoops until the end, ok? I don't like that. I understand you don't really feel like getting in heated arguments over your alignment when you're on the cusp of starting the countdown, but I wish you would still answer questions from folks, and, you know, play the game. I gotta say, this strikes me as scum not wanting to accidentally give anymore information away and potentially drag any other scum down with you. I don't like this at all.

Well, similar to what Santos thought he was doing before, let's take a look at what this countdown is and does. Seems to me we're not doing anything but just wandering around aimlessly and yesterDay it didn't really do anything but get us nowhere near a lynch.
I don't know of anyone better, right now, who's the best for today so, I, too, am making it official and the mystery of the countdown will hopefully be shown/solved. Then maybe something will finally make sense in this amusing yet very gastardized game:

I said earlier that I didn't buy your claim. It seemed to me like you were trying to push for an investigation to prove yourself, and I find that scummy. Especially when you pushing someone who stated to only have one more investigation left. After you saw you were probably going to go, you started acting like you didn't care anymore about helping the Town, and I'm of the mindset that a Townie would still try and help even if they were going to be lynched. You never know what you might uncover while digging, and it may even save you, or point the Town in the proper direction.

I would say "hire" as one syllable and "higher" as two. In fact, dictionary.com *does* list "esquire" as having only two syllables: es•quire. I see in the pronunciation key where it seems to have three as well, but using the actual phonetic alphabet pronunciation as opposed to where the just have it spelled out phonetically, one can see that it's still two syllables. Think of it this way: how many times does your chin come down when you say the word? It's really only twice, unless you are overemphasizing the last part in a way you would not during normal speech. Think of the word "choir". I would say it's clearly a single syllable as well. Thanks for the defense, bufftabby. I double checked both as well before I saw this post, and yeah, they say it's two syllables. Anyway, I'd like to hear Kat's full views on everything once the countdown starts since she'll finally be able to post normally. I imagine she's tried to cut down on the length of posts due to the LOLCat thing. Also, since I was one of the early fauxvotes, and the only reason I fauxvoted was to not risk triggering the countdown, I might as well make it official: vote molefan I mean, he says he wants to go out having fun, which I can't blame the guy for, but still, there are questions that have been asked, and he's avoiding them. Even if he feels he's answered them adequately already, he should still repeat his points, and point out where he's made them in the past. Because it points out the errors of others. If someone makes the same mistakes over and over, it usually means something's up. It allows us to glean more info regardless of the reasons for the mistakes. (i.e. skimming, overeager scum trying to nail a townie, innocent mistakes, etc.). Usually the people who roll over and take it are scum who know they can't mount an adequate defense. Townies typically fight to the very end. (So do a good amount of scum, but it's rare a townie rolls over.) So this, combined with his having a different moderator, combined with the oddness of his claimed role, and the whole diary thing to begin with, my vote is as placed.

molefan, care to explain your vote in any way? I guess you're giving it out as a 'parting shot' but I'd like to see some reasoning other than that I don't find Santo Rugger automatically innocent. On that front, I no longer think we should vote for him, as he's more of a question for the mid-endgame. Something like a claimed but unconfirmed mason. Speaking of which, we either have > three or zero remaining if Cat really was one.
As for you, molefan, I've said before I think that you might not be pro-town, but I don't think you're scum. I don't think the lynch is a good idea, as if we play traditionally we're not catching scum (again, in my opinion).
I had an idea (though the chance has passed) : We could have tried to set off the countdown using the Creepy Doll or one of the mods to see what would happen. According to the mods, it's only the vote leader at the end of the countdown that'll get lynched.
Duke's post restrictions don't sit right with me. It just seems a bit too outside the realm of gastardy. And I feel he's more likely to be scum.
vote Duke

So it appears that the investigations that were done had their results sent to other players. As such, I feel very confident that we're going in the right direction.

What's a Godfather? A Mafiate who appears to be Town when investigated by a Cop.
The flavour of the game is that the Mods are beings who have millennia of Mafia playing experience. They know this.
So why does the notebook say that the Detective found his target was the scum Godfather? Something doesn't add up here.
(Note : I'm not saying this isn't what DB found, I'm saying it's a red herring.)

molefan, care to explain your vote in any way? I guess you're giving it out as a 'parting shot' but I'd like to see some reasoning other than that I don't find Santo Rugger automatically innocent. Actually, given what was just posted, I really, really don't think I should say any more. This post by molefan is what clinches the matter in my mind. Otherwise, why is moley not protesting the implication? Or, even if he thinks he's completely screwed, wouldn't a pro-Town moley throw out all the info he currently has for us to use toMorrow? How can we recognize his partners? What's the prediction he was supposed to make and can it help us in any way? Answer all the questions he's been asked. So, vote Molefan. Another thing that I'd like to see addressed: Duke's post restriction, which he has repeated refused to discuss. Everyone else has revealed the source of their weirdnesses (my LOLcatting, the Creepy Doll, the Marbles, etc.) (except for Mr. Scummyboots, esq. who appears to be unable to discuss his weirdness). I'd still like to see not only what happened Night Zero to give him the Scottish accent, but what happened Night One to push him to German. Did he target someone with some ability that backfired on him? Did someone target him and change his nationality from Scot to German? And if he's just doing the German bit to mess around, I'd prefer that he stop. And if he's forbidden to say, try to stick some kind of hint into his next post, maybe. And regarding Santo's OIT status, I don't see how Santo's confidence in it's acceptance is suspicious. Seeing as how this is Santo we're talking about, it would have been more suspicious if he'd been hesitant or doubtful about his status. It's so nice to talk normally.

What's a Godfather? A Mafiate who appears to be Town when investigated by a Cop. Not necessarily. Just because it's been traditional here and at SDMB for Godfather's to investigate as Town, that doesn't mean they always are. Mafia Scum Godfather page. Note the usually. I wouldn't put it past the Gastard M ods to alter generic roles to within an inch of their lives, especially in regards to options that we rely on that are just that: optional variations and not set-in-stone rules. Like Free Parkin in Monopoly.

Rajaat could but apparently he'd prefer to see a townie lynched than to "waste" his investigation. Because a wasted lynch is so much more beneficial to the town, right? Well, let's be honest: yes, an investigation is much more important than a single townie if well placed. Especially if it is limited. By definition, anything that is of a limited quantity, when compared to something of a less limited quantity, is more valuable. Beneficial? Well, we'll have to wait and see. Vote: Molefan1981Might as well at this point. Here's hoping you are scum after all.
