Hello All, Well, my knowledge of Marvel is limited to the cartoons. And nobody get any ideas about the avatar either.

I was kind of knowledgeable about the Marvel-verse during the 80's, maybe 90's. Now? Not so much.
Having said that, there are two reasons why I'd be against revealing our names:
1. If this game is like the Firefly, or Batman game, there might well be players who are looking for other players to achieve certain win conditions 2. We're on a planet abandoned by the Skrull. (Hence the name of the game thread: Skrull Planet). This is important, since the Skrull are eeeeevil shapeshifters who can even copy powers (I think right now there's a whole Skrull-crossover going on in the comic books). That means that most of the scum probably even have legitimate names... which conceal their Skrull identities

I just want to make it clear that I don't know anything about the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It's not me, I swear. Thank God story and Kat didn't decide to stick with a backup Vig role...Generational. You say you don't know about the horseman but what about the soccer moms? Those driving the Tundras and Escalades are pretty durn frightening. Especially when they are talking on the phone and applying make up at the same time. I'll take the cute horsies any 'ol time. And regarding mass claims, Meh. All I can say is that my role and character is kind of convoluted. I think that this game will be a little more involved than CandyLand. Gotta admit that Story makes a great Lord Licorice and Kat is the ideal Princess Frostine. Seriously, do a google image search.

I can think of a couple of hypotheticals along that line where that could create problems for Town and give an edge to scum. I am now officially against a mass claim.

Peek, you crack my shit up. Maybe we won't lynch your ass Day One this time, eh? You need to be kept around as long as possible for sheer entertainment value, if nothing else. And psst, I love me some CandyLand.

I believe he's making a joking reference to Pollux's Apocalypse game, where Rysto was one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was Death as a character, Serial Killer as a role, and won the game. (There was only one other horseman in the game, and that was War.) The Four Horseman figure into the Marvel Universe as well. They worked for Apocalypse (one of the major supervillains). I wouldn't be surprised if we have some of the horsemen in this game as well.

and of course half of the marvel characters at one point or another were a horseman of the apocalypse Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Near as I can tell a lot of the good guys had an alter ego that was also a bad guy. Or became bad before switching back (I've been reading some Wiki). Don't know how this back and forth will play out, though. I've been reading about my character and there is some serious therapy need identified. I mean other than wanting to boink every hot mutant chick that he could get his hands on the sucker was certifiable. I think that any conclusion based on the original character is going to be fraught with peril. That's why I am not so worked up about any type of name claim. Ain't gonna mean shit at the end of the day. And Iceman your links to the George Gervin web sites seems to be mis directed.

I know my spiderman comics, other than that, I'm pretty familiar with the Marvel old school TV show- the one with magneto and Toad and like the phoenix and shit. But I don't actually read much of marvel comics, but I'm probably more knowledgeable than the layman on that sorta thing, because... like Dio- I'm a dork. And I do like Marvel more than DC comics.
As for name claiming- I MADE Batman: Arkham Knights. Well, at least the Riddler Mechanic. I doubt Storyteller would so blatantly rip me off by doing the same thing, but I CERTAINLY do believe he and Kat would take an idea and tweak it for their own nefarious purposes.
So I will not be opposed to a name claim, but I would take note of who falls on which side....
((OOG: Also, I've got an exam on Monday, and so I'm probably not going to be around here quite a bit until the weekdays, weekends are now REALLY bad times for me, just a warning/FYI))

And that is odd as shit. Apparently I timed out somwhere but the board let me post by merely eliminating the a from the end of my name. Lot's of fun can be had.
And because I love our Mods let me quote from some of the others:
Sid They stink
Sinjin I agree
Sqiddy They even like ceviche - bastards.
tabbers I think they are dog people.
Quickly, to your pitchforks. Victory is at hand says NAF
I will stand by my fair despicable candy and ice cream. Fear not these others.
