Theme meaning the skin? Just change it back to what you had before, hah. You can do it easily just by going to your profile and selecting a different skin. What is this "skin" you're talking about? go to your profile go to modify profile there should be an option in there called select skin choose default click the modify profile button

Ok, now I'm even more confused.. Does anyone think the skin change has any effect on the game, or is it just bling?
Anyway, in response to a couple of people. If we have MiteyMouse change the weather back to blizzard, we can determine whether the win condition is a cycle or matches the weather.
Might it then be a worthwhile strategy to lynch MiteyMouse when our win condition is the most favourable? Even if she's town we would've gained something from her powers, and if she's scum, well.. we'd get a good lynch anyway. I'm not sure getting a more favourable win condition is worth killing off a townie, but then again - she could easily (IMO) be PFK.

How soon they forget.
I put this skin on last Christmas and the one before that and everyone thought it was cool. Harumph!
It's just some decorations for the Christmas spirit....but you all can change it back to whatever *COUGHBORINGCOUGH* skin you had already (which I happen to know was DEFAULT for most of you). Just go to your profile, click modify and then choose the drop down list to select which one. Coolicles is really neat, actually..and I, myself, have used the Black and Blue for about two years now.

What if she's PFK? How will we know what our win condition would be at that point? Well I suppose in that case You have a point, which if she is a PFK and there is only 3 left, assuming one is scum and the other town, we would have already lost. Cause then the SCUM or PFK would out number the town. And if 2 are town and the third is a PFK, then the win has to be kill all PFK's because you cannot have a win for kill SCUM when there is no SCUM left. Like wise with PFK's if we have 2 town and a scum, then you can not have a WC of kill PFK's, cause there are none. I think this it is very bad for the town to always be chasing the carrot*. YMMV. Also, you're still assuming she's telling the truth about things still changing after her death. Why? What are you going on about??? What would be random versus us not having a say? If you're talking specifically about the weather, and assuming that they're separate like she said they were, why does it matter if we have a say or not. Cause right now she takes our advice as to what the weather should change to. I can not help but think if she was SCUM then it would have been smarter not to say anything but to keep changing it. So right now we have some say in the weather, by giving her our opinion of what we would like to see. So is it not nice to be able to put our input into what the weather should be? Where as if she is telling the truth, then once she is dead either our MOD decides or random.com decides. So assuming she is telling the truth, would you rather some say, even if the final decision is hers, or her dead and we have no heads up and are not aware each day what will and will not happen? Yes obviously we still have the unawareness of the WC, however it is at least a little comforting knowing that at least one of the 2 we can have some input into. I also think, and this maybe way over analyzing here but she is a cloud, do the essence of clouds ever really go away? No the vapour changes to liquid or solid, but never really goes away. Like wise in this game with her powers, I could see the power that makes the cloud keep going even if the cloud has vanished from the game. The essence would live on, like vapours to liquid/solid. As I said though, I could be way over thinking this though. You are quite the confusing individual, but to try to answer what I think you're saying... It's not the new win condition that is anti-town. It's the fact that it's changing. It'd be like if you were cooking, and everybody said they wanted pizza**. Well, let's say you made the sauce, and the dough, and cut up all the toppings, and shredded the cheese, and were getting very close to finishing the pizza. Then, everybody decided they wanted to have spaghetti, instead. Now, it's not that big of a deal, because the ingredients are all basically the same; but they had been prepared for pizza. Now you've got to backtrack, reassess the situation, and start over. Granted, you're much farther along than you would have been if you hadn't started cooking at all, but much further behind than if everybody had just asked for pasta in the first damn place. Ok I see what your saying now, that is a valid point.

Um guys - anyone know what a spiny is and should I be worried that it's attached itself to my back? This was at the end of my pm telling me about the change in win conditions: I've had a quick look online to find out and I'm guessing it isn't good

Or atleast in the earlier games that is what I remember them looking like.

Though I suppose a pfk dropping them is better than some random thing due to the weather and win condition changes. At least a pfk can be killed. I guess none of you had better stand too near me then just in case I go off or something. I'll see if Idle will give me any more info (though I'm not optimistic). FLOD - were you just being ironic with your new name? lol

I guess none of you had better stand too near me then just in case I go off or something. Well, the good news is that with a standard bomber-type, you won't go off until the PFK wins. A typical bomber win condition involves everyone still alive (or alternately still able to vote--see Pleo in Gastard) in the game being marked. But who knows what quirky things our bomber, if he exists, would have with his power.

FLOD would have to have balls as big as ... Lakitu's cloud to attempt that. =P
The other thought I had was that it's day three--anyone else want to cop to having a spiny on them? It's not as likely it's a conventional mad bomber if they're not bombing every night.
I'm on the list of people who wants MiteyMouse to make it blizzard again tomorrow to see if win conditions are correlated to the weather or not.
I'd like my next post to be some serious analysis, because I think we as town have been relying too much on the power roles and not enough on the analysis lately, and it's been hurting us badly. Expect that sometime on Sunday--I'm out of town tonight and tomorrow (go Penguins!)

I was afraid of this... I hope you will all remember that I chose my current handle long before we received any role PMs. So while there may or may not be an actual Lakitu in the game (a fact about which I know nothing), I am not related to him/her in any way shape or form. Interestingly enough, Spinys are the featured article today at mariowiki.com! I've never heard of them attaching themselves to anything, but I'm guessing it's not a good thing. --FCOD

I'm not sure I got the "spiny"-thing. In the games Mario can't fight this thing - so can anyone else in the games? Because in the PM from Idle to AlmostH he said "You" can't do anything about it... could that suggest someone ELSE might be able to do something?

Well, it depends on the game, but usually the only way to kill a spiny is to shoot it with a fireball (Fire Mario) or be invincible (Starman Mario). Other ways include flipping it over (with a cape or punching from below), then jumping on it, eating it with Yoshi, and maybe others I forgot.
Long story short, unless you have a Starman or a Fire Flower or other similar power-up / ability in your role I don't think you will be able to get rid of it. Obviously I have no idea how Idle built the mechanic into the game but going by the games that's what would make the most sense.

Weren't there items (mushrooms, if memory serve, at least in SMB v1) that made Mario impervious, for a limited time at least, against spinys (and anything else that could hurt him, except for falling off a cliff)?

Yes, a starman (also known as star, power star, invincibility star). It makes Mario invincible for a short time and everything he touches during that time dies. --FCOD

Guess there is nothing to do about the spiny - then wait and see.

I should have previewed and I would've seen your earlier response, FlyingFooOfDoom. Stars were indeed what I was misremembering. Another eerie coincidence of avatar, now that I noticed what AH's avatar is. I need to do some re-reading. Rugger has been quite dogged in his pursuit of MiteyMouse, but given the circumstances that is reasonably reasonable, even though I haven't come to the same conclusions as he.

Is that what my avatar is? I did a Yahoo image search on SMB and it came up and I thought it looked cute - typical! I'm still leaning towards Mighty being very confused town but I can certainly understand the suspicions against her. The biggest ping I'm getting is from DBI. It's nearly midnight here but I'll take a closer look over the weekend and see what I come up with. I also need to go back and look at shaggy's posts. I have to confess, I find them so hard to read that I've been skimming for the gist without properly reading them through. Bad AH!

Ok, I think we are all bogged down in the Mitey weather/win thing. I've gone back and revisited her pm's and tried to put them in a slightly more readable form.
We now know that Mitey can change the weather. If we believe that she has been truthful in quoting her PM's it's clear that she has no control over win conditions. I don't see where the misunderstanding is coming from. Idle even states that the win conditions will change even if she is dead. If this is true then I'm not sure I want to play anymore. Winning or losing becomes basically random. A good play on Day X may cause us to lose on Day Y. This is no fun.
If Mitey is not truthfully quoting her PM's then she is potentially very dangerous. She is very likely changing win conditions to benefit scum or PFK not town.

Early game observations.
Ok sinjin you reference where the mouse says that in her Pm that "... you have changed your win condition....". My PMs merely indicate that the win condition has changed. What's up with that (and no, I am not going to track down the original post)?
Either mouse is full of shit or sinjin is making stuff up.
sasquagsanta seems to be having a bad week.
story is unnaturally quiet. BTW folks, this one scares the ever living crud out of me. So solly story just the way it is. Null tell but sheesh.
Nannok really really needs some fiber in his diet. Just cause you are backed up don't take it out on those of us who are playing and having FUN. Cripes, J. Edgar could you just have a BM and move on. Pleo vigged me on the dope because I play "anti - town". The only thing that I can think of more anti - town is letting your personal bias influence your perceptions and votes. ,and that, my friend, is anti town (play the game the way I want it played or you are anti - town). That be bullshit.
Idle said this was non Gastard. So far he looks like he is yanking our collective chain. But I still believe him and want to get to the bottom of the conundrums (another dollar word).

Believe me, it's NOT a Gastard game. Far from it. Ahhh...done now. It's always good to get that out once per game.

Ya'll just don't know everything that I (and those that are dead) know. YET.
So yeah, I admit it COULD look like a Gastard game to you..but it's NOT. Nor is it RANDOM...nor is it UNPLAYABLE...nor is it anything else that you all THINK IT MAY BE right now. It IS confusing, yes. Confusing aplenty. But YOU ALL DON'T KNOW the full info. If you did, you obviously wouldn't be confused anymore and you'd KNOW this isn't a hard, random, unfair, or gastardized game.
