And it'd be funny if the other two scum were... ;D One of these days I'll learn to not typo. Or at least proofread better. Assuming the spinies are real, the spiny-dropper has had three Nights to spine people. At some point we might need to start lynching people with claimed spinies in case this is some kind of Mad Bomber mechanism. ...and here we have another point that won't come up, likely, ever. In order for this to even ever be relevant, we'd need to have: -At least almost half of the residents to have admitted spinies (right now we have 5.26%) -Evidence that the MB can throw one spiny per night (right now, it seems he can throw one every three nights) -A significant lead over the scum (right now, we have lynched no scum) And even if those things were to become relevant, we'd have to have no idea by that point where the MB is. Chances are low. Right now, it seems more like you want to divert attention to townies with spinies on them (which is odd, since we have none in our group).

I do think we should keep in mind that AH has a spiny and look for changes to her. It might come with a posting restriction or a voting restriction. It could even be the work of a politician type role. Or it could be a bomb, but I think it's there for a reason

I don't really remember who my vote ended on for the days, but the people that I can remember voting for are DBI and MiteyMouse...my memory is shit so I don't remember anything else.

I take that back statement if their activity level for this Day is remotely similar to ours.

I take that back statement if their activity level for this Day is remotely similar to ours. judging from the main game page, they have 118 posts to out 147. So we shouldn't have too much to read.

Yes he is a nutcase, but that's not a bad thing I kinda like the weirdness of this game.. As long as it isn't every game that's like this, it's nice with something a little different..

Have you tried reading the news fader? I gave up after spending way too long reading it--never did make it to the end. Though, it seems to have more activity then toDay does.

I think we're still at a 3-3 tie. I did want to get a non-faux vote in by now, though it will mean we are just 2 votes short of a lynch, we can still discuss strategy at Night, so I'm OK with it.
After a re-read (and after not making it through the main board scroll...I stopped at the whale penis comment), I've decided that the 'my kill" comment seems like a genuine slip. Combining that with the general lurkishness of previous Days, and I'll
vote DBI

Ok pede, I'm taking my claws out of you. Hopefully I won't regret it. I have no idea where you're coming from in this game, but it would suck to take out a pro-town blocker, if that is indeed what you are.
Unvote pedescribe Vote DBI
DBI's "slip" is really hard to get past. It may be splitting hairs, but that is not something that is easily explained away as a typo. Add that to the lurking and the drive-by cryptic posts that had me voting for you already twice, and there you have it.

I had been considering DBI about an hour ago, before Cookies's post, but I had been hoping that DBI would make at least an attempt to explain away the "my scum kills", so I put it off again, especially since I wanted to double check the votecount in Ed's post. There's not a chance that I'll hammer her ATM, but if she hasn't made any kind of defense by the weekend, I may change my mind.
What's the current schedule for Dusk? Sunday the 28th, 3 PM (is that Mountain Time again?)? I'll vote her Saturday night/Sunday morning, if I'm awake.

I've explained my perspective on day one, when I voted for Idle Thoughts. This is a weird game, and things will happen when we least expect them to. Because of that, I'm trying the things no-one expects, looking for hidden shortcuts to the win. Naturally, I'm not going to keep pushing if resistance pops up, but sooner or later, I think, I'll hit that secret Easter egg and launch us all into a victory. At least, I hope so. Right now, we ain't doing so hot.

Since this is a horrible horrible time to go into Night (unless Idle extends it to account for Christmas absences, which he hasn't said would happen, so we cannot assume it), you shouldn't be so cavalier about it. Just because we shouldn't depend too heavily on power roles, doesn't mean we should screw them out of their Night actions.

It is a sucky time to go into Night, though it would suck for the scum too. Being 2 votes away isn't much of an insurance policy, but it will have to do.

But Day 5 can't start until both 'worlds' end Night 4...so I think we're relatively safe. Plus, Idle has said he'd accommodate the people who are away for Christmas, so I'm assuming a Night 4 that will last past New Year's Day. Idle, when is the earliest that Day 5 can start? That is, how long will you wait for Night 4 actions?

I don't understand your question. Nothing is different. The game is the same as it always is, was, and will be.
When someone gets six votes, Day will end automatically.
DBI - 4 votes (Pedescribe, FLOD, Hoopy Frood, Mr Special Ed) Pedescribe - 2 votes (DBI, Chucara)

I don't know what else you want me to explain. I meant to type "my question about the scum kills", but had a brain fart and typoed that extra my.
If you don't believe me and want to lynch me for that, it's your choice.
It's not like I have some vital role anyway.

I guess what I meant is, could a Night last longer than that if the Day ends early in one world but continues in the other world? As it stands now, I think we can assume the other world didn't go into Night yet, since they have 5 topics just like we do. I guess this isn't really important. Whatever will be will be. It's just there's not a lot happening right now. :-) oh, and Merry Christmas or other greeting as you deem appropriate, everyone!

Merry Christmahaunakwanzolsticule everyone.
The local library up by the rents has free wi-fi, so I have occasional access (which means I should be able to check in near dusk.
Not that I seem to have missed much so far.

I guess what I meant is, could a Night last longer than that if the Day ends early in one world but continues in the other world? Nope. Wait, so how's that going to work? About the only thing I can figure is that if one group hammers, Night starts for both groups.I fully intend to vote for DBI, but I won't bring her to the brink of being hammered until we work out what the implications of that are. My reasoning, in brief: - Total Lost made an excellent case yesterDay which sadly has been lost. The gist of it was that DBI has been talking a lot but hasn't said much of anything. - "my scum kills" - DBI's opportunistic smudge of pedescribe based on his claimed power. Didn't the Yoshi lynch teach us that the roles aren't necessarily going to make perfect sense? This isn't story's game, after all -- Idle is known for modding crazier games. - On that note, just the fact that DBI thought to ask where the scum choose a killer makes me suspicious. It's the kind of question that a scum who already knows what the answer is going to be might ask, knowing that they can use the answer to put suspicion on a player. Not much on it's own, but it's another small mark against her.

I've said all I've already said on the subject. : ) Not going to explain it...just: No, Night wouldn't last any longer for anyone then it usually does. : D
Also, anyone miss me? Been gone for three days. Good to be back.

If we end up underwater, as it seems we might, what impact will the weather have?
Another thought I had that should be answered when we rejoin the other group, did their win condition change too since Mitey is with us?
I think the vote is still 4-2, this is what I have:
pedescribe - DBI Hoopy Frood - DBI Mr Special Ed - DBI Kat - said she'd vote DBI on Sat/Sun DBI - Pede Rysto - leaning toward DBI FCoD - DBI Cookies - leaning toward DBI Chucara - DBI MiteyMouse - no indication
