Ok, so with Chronos' additional reveal, I'm back to my hunch that the acrostics that have been presented are not going to be very useful for finding scum. All scum have to do is revise whatever claim their going to lay down such that it matches, which is a trivial task. If anyone feels inclined to suspect me for continuing to point out the obvious, or for giving scum obvious ideas, I think that would be quite foolish. And as someone already pointed out, if some Townie has made a typo in their acrostic, we could end up mislynching them because of it. I'm of a mind of either tossing all acrostic information out for the purpose of analysis (though who decided to post them or not, when and why, seems like a valid enough data points to keep, depending on any pending insights into Chronos' alignment) or at the very least taking it all with a heaping tablespoon full of salt.

Night actions will be accepted until midnight. I strenuously apologize for the delay. All is well, there's just a game issue that needs adjudication.

And since I was here at deadline, and do have a third point (no need to worry Opal) that was ready to post about who I targeted last night, I assume I should be able to post it sometime before the day reveal of who died. I'm going to wait for a ruling before posting, however.

NETA: and now I see the ruling... so third coming up sometime after midnight...TBContinued So I take it you compeletely disagree with me about how such an action is not playing within the spirit of the game?

I'm not Storyteller, but if I were modding, I would either extend the deadline to coincide with the new Dawn, or I'd ask players to curb discussion during the "dead zone" time during which no actions can be submitted. So I'd keep that in mind. It would strike me as potentially unfair. Claiming something critical as close to deadline as possible is a valid tactic, but if there's a gap between action-submition deadline and End-of-Night deadline, then a player can take advantage of that gap to claim something without fear of repercussions that Night at all. Dirx posts on the topic. My opinion is that the Mod should deal with such things however he sees fit, even if it is a rule adjustment well into the game. For all we know this could be the very issue that is delaying Dawn.

I had some comments about this in the game I modded, too: I had to delay the Dawn, but left the deadline for Night actions in place, and someone pointed out that that loophole would be an excellent time for a hypothetical Detective to claim. As it happened, it didn't matter (that game didn't have a Detective), but Storyteller was a player in that game, so he should at least be aware of the issue. I assume that him not taking steps to address that here means that he doesn't have a problem with it.

I will end the Night at midnight EST toNight (ie, in six hours). All actions, or changes to previously submitted actions, should be in by that time.
Again, I apologize for the delay.[/b]

I'll trust that the cut off applies as well I'm pretty sure there was a post towards the end of Day One about him being sick. Speaking of guiri He did say he was quite ill Then he said Has Hal claimed anything beyond posting the standard town wincon? and then.. Did this ping anyone else? Pleo, have you changed your Day action? Because it set off alarms in my head. The comment about being ill was an explanation for my lack of participation up to that point. I was online shortly before Day end and was debating with myself whether I should move my vote to seal the fate of two players based on a skim read. Hal appeared to be the only one of the four who hadn't claimed anything. I wasn't convinced his multivote was scum motivated but given that he'd already been and was close to returning to be Pleo's Day kill target, I wanted to know if he'd claimed anything. When Pleo then joined the TexCat wagon, I wanted to know if he'd kept his word about Day killing the lynch runner up or if he'd kept his kill on Ed. It wasn't until later that I realised he'd submitted a contingent order. As Dusk drew closer, and Hal, the last of the four, switched his vote, I decided to sit back and watch how it played out.

OK, so just in case Storyteller doesn't show up, maybe we could hurry things along ourselves? One of the Scum can post here to tell us who you targeted, and then that person can tell us who they were and obligingly die.
