Do Freemasons discover the Omega Wolf as a Freemason? or is it just a Seer? From reading the roles, it seems like maybe just the Seer.

Rules Clarification
Freemasons receive the result "Freemason" (if the target is another Freemason) or "not Freemason" (if the target is anything else, including an Omega Wolf) from their investigations. An Omega Wolf will appear to be Freemason role and Town faction to any other (non-Freemason) investigator.

Actually, the role everyone is dancing around is the single exception to why Idle shouldn't claim (i.e., if Idle is this role then he SHOULD claim). If Idle is the role everyone seems to think he is, then there is no reason not for Idle to claim because that role will be revealed in its entirety immediately anyway. So no, I don't think Idle is the scotsman.
As for Idle getting bored. I think he has gotten bored before (and replaced early), so it is entirely plausible.

Sorry, Idle, I hate to critique other players play but I do have to ask: If you are a scotsman, why not wait for a Night kill? You could have told us who tried to kill you. If there is no town vig, anyone who targeted you would have been a great lynch target. Of course if you aren't lynched, no one is going to target you since they would be instantly revealed. Unfortunately, I think you'll be Night killed soon since you are basically a confirmed townie.
Interesting way to play the role. I think the only downside is that votes for you basically are "free" since you asked to be lynched, so there won't be much for us to go on later in the game.

I must be the only one who doesn't see what everyone else is seeing. I just want to be lynched because I'm bored with the game and figure that once I'm eventually found to be Town, it would help Town out greatly, IMO.

That's exactly what scum would say. What's the matter, afraid, are you? Contrary to what people seem to assume, I really am an especially ignorant beginner. On the Town team. (By now I'm sure everyone knows I'm no Cabalist as then there'd be a secret board with a partner warning me about my most obvious stupidities. ;D ) A) Who is semi-confirmed in your mind? No one is to me. Idle may be when this Day is over, and I may be once I find some freemason brethren, but neither of us are now, and I'm confused as to who else you think is. B) Being semi-confirmable may be a good reason not to lynch me presently, but it's not a good reason to trust me. Trust no one. C) What people are getting at, is that Idle may be a Scotsman. It would explain his play, and (on a meta level), it seems like the sort of role he would request. D) I'm a girl. Buff is the color of one of my tabbies, not the state of my body. A-B) "semi-confirmed" not "confirmed." The two witches are very likely true, right? Idle. Color me gullible (and color me confused if/when the conflicting Mason claims come), but I'm taking you at your word for now. C) Thank you! metallicsquink was wrong when he claimed to be the last one to know this! Even so, why wouldn't it be better for Idle to wait for a night-kill attempt (and "discover the identity of his attacker")? D) Sorry. Color me increasingly senescent I knew you were a girl, but managed to forget it while I was writing that message.

Also, Squink is female, too.

Umm, Septimus?
Metallic Squink is also a female. Just thought you ought to know.
I've read the thread, although it took me quite a while to catch up. It seems that Idle is bound and determined to be the lynch victim, therefore let it be so. At least it will (eventually) shed some light on his veracity.

But very unlikely - particularly given how it went down, with one player both claiming for another and for himself. This early, such a move would be hugely risky for a Scum player. If one of them dies - and let's face it, now that they're out there as claimed Witches, they're huge targets for being killed even if they're lying! - the other will be lynched immediately. I don't really think it's likely that one player would risk that much to remove suspicion from another.

Your role will be revealed to all upon surviving. If you survived a Night attack, you will discover the identity of your attacker. You will survive multiple attackers on a single Night, but after that Night you will become vulnerable.Again, if there is no town vig, anyone who tried to kill Idle would be a non-town faction and therefore a lynch of that person furthers town's win condition. Idle would have been able to come into the game and say "Hey, so-and-so tried to kill me last Night but I lived because I'm a scotsman" and we lynch one or the other to confirm.

I actually agree with all of this, and find the whole idea spectacularly unlikely myself, but however implausible it does remain a possibility. Would I vote either of them on it? Hell, no. Do I consider the witches semi-confirmed? The only confirmed player is a dead player. But based on my experience, yeah, I think they're likely to be exactly who they say they are.

No, it really isn't. Getting up at 7am does not agree with me. The strange coincidence of Nanook, of all people, claiming Witch on Day 1 of a Conspiracy game amused me greatly, but I didn't remember it until I was at work. You see, he's done this before. Last time (in Conspiracy 2) he was a Cabal member trying to save himself from a slip over secret powers. This time, who knows? He might even be telling the truth. In C2, I was a Witch. We decided against counterclaiming to get Nanook lynched Day 1, because, as a claimed member of a group with investigative roles, he would have to fake results; and since there were four factions, Nanook would have to guess at any non-Cabalist's side. There's plenty of chances to trip him up. If memory serves, he lasted until Day 3. There's plenty of chances to test Nanook's claim. Let's pay out some rope and see if he hangs himself with it.
