To expand a bit on my last post...I understand that "hating shoes" has a deeper meaning here in Mafia. So storyteller's "bah on shoes" comment would seem to indicate something other than he's simply having a bad footwear day. The part that was, and still is, a 'leap' to me was how and why NAF tied storyteller's statement to Charr's vote from yesterday. I don't see anything that ties the two events together.

God, I feel silly now. Rysto, Ed, Cookies, some other old timer with an appreciation for our shared history, tell me that you were able to follow my post and make me feel better. I'm afraid that I wasn't, although the failing was at least partially mine. However, I'm quite sure that "shoes" is well before Ed's time. Ancient China was the game before Batman.

I understand what you're saying. I don't quite get why the evidence at hand let you to make the conclusion you did, but that may be because my history doesn't go back as far as yours, or because my skills of deduction are not as developed...or both (or neither, I suppose). If it helps, think of it as a hypothesis and not a conclusion. I am currently testing the hypothesis (by asking questions of Charr and Story. Not a great test I know, but what you gonna do?)

. I don't see anything that ties the two events together. Ah, didn't see this before. I am trying to explain something that is in my mind inexplicable, Charr's vote. I do not believe that any poster would do something like that and not come back and justify it afterward. It doesn't make sense. Not with that specific post. Look at what Charr actually says when he votes. Possible explinations: -Charr is taking the piss (likely, will soon end with him dead) -Charr is being forced to vote (also likely) Why would story tie in? Because story has a posting restriction, and the only one that we know about. Are they related? I don't know. That's why I asked if he had a vote restriction too. But it would make Charr's actions make a lot more sense if he had a vote restriction and couldn't talk about it directly.

Sorry about the bah distraction. Brewha used it as some reference to Hal Briston. I'm pretty sure that's not relevant here, but was somehow my first thought when I read Story's post.

Ah, I missed that post at Night. Well, that was a good idea that is probably down the tubes then. Charr, what say you? metallicsquink: We don't actually know that story has a posting restriction, but it is a very very good guess. Saying that you hate shoes (in this case BAH on shoes) is typically code for "I have a posting restriction".

And, as usual, I've learned something new which seems to be happening in every game I've been in lately.

I'm with Blockey on this one - explain yourself. Absolute bummer about Mhaye. I am claiming Town MasonI'll have to leave it to the judgement of the other mason whether they wish to claim as unusually, we're masons that have no private means of communication. We only know of each other.
posting as i catch up. well crudinsky if it's good enough for bill it's good enough for me. yep he is a mason and so am i. roll over in your grave cookies. here we go afrackingain. but at least bill is involved so it shouldn't quite get so nutty. hee hee.

Still, Mhaye is not usually one of those players, I don't think; if only because it tends to be the experienced prolific posters who get NKed and Mhaye is not usually one of those. i don't know about that conclusion. mhaye reminds me of bill and nook. they don't say a heck of lot (number of posts) but when they do it is normally insightful and rather pointed. that's why i am always wary of them because they are all good enough to come across as town when scum and pretty durn successful at sussing out scum when town. so yeh, i could totally see an mhaye NK coming from scum. I apologize for jumping so far back in the conversation. I didn't mean to imply that Mhaye is not a topnotch player. What I meant was that in my experience both as scum and town is that scum tend to go after the loud and experienced. The loud and new are left alone because they are easier to mislead. The quiet and experienced are left alone because they fly under the radar. But that's just my off the cuff opinion. I find the talk about charr and story to be intriguing but I don't have an opinion on it other than wouldn't that be cool.

And frequently it get's one or both of the bread-crumbers killed. Most people are not good at bread-crumbing. But this goes back to my Day 1 point about my belief that transperant play is generally the best play for town. (Not always, nothing is always best, but generally). The risk is sometimes a bit higher but the reward is greater as well. and i am certainly not picking on nab (especially with the cute as heck nafette) but this breadcrumb stuff is about as about obtuse as anything i can see. heebus, as scum i like to "breadcrumb" out the butt but as town not so much.

Hey~ Am I late? I see I have some catching up to do ^^
So yeah, expanding on what I said last night, I promised I would explain my actions, however, this is more of an excuse than an explanation, but anyway...
Okay, um, I guess I'm not used to be taken so literally, or seriously, because I said I had no evidence. I did have a reason, which was his general, patronizing, outrageous response to accusations. But I felt that this was not solid enough to be summed up as evidence, so that's why I said I had no proof.
Heh, I feel sheepish now. But whatever, 'cause I suppose the fact that Pleo was innocent strengthens Rysto's innocence, or whatever. Unless, voting for the same person as Pleo whas a clever ploy? He did switch back halfway, and shit...
Okay, so um, yeah. I hope this would suffice as an explanation? Um so, yeah, while I catch up, please Unvote me, whoever you are...
