It is just past dawn. Nearly everyone gathers in the front hall. Fred appears to be counting heads.Fred: I thought so! Two people are missing. Guest 1: I heard weird things in the night. Screams and running feet. Guest 2: And a door slammed. I remember hearing a door slam. Guest 1: That's right. I remember that, too! Velma: Could you tell where the screams were coming from? Guest 1: Outside, I think, but the running was definitely downstairs. It sounded the same way it did yesterday when the butler went to the wine cellar. Everyone looks at everyone else.Daphne: Where is the butler, anyway? Scooby whimpers.Shaggy: Zoinks, maybe he was taken by the g-g-ghost! Scooby whimpers more.Fred: Well, we need to find out! Let's go, everyone! They all follow Fred to the wine cellar. There they find evidence that Tim Smith, a guest, has fled the the hotel taking nothing but the clothes on his back.Out in the gazebo they find the footsteps of a running man and the butler's silver salver. Both men have disappeared.*** BillMc, AKA Templeton the butler, AKA Town Adviser, was driven away from the gazebo.Paranoia, AKA Mr. Tim Smith, AKA Town Mason, was forced to flee the wine cellar for fear of his sanity.*** Day 2 will end Friday, April 8 at 3 pm EDT

So we are down 3 town people. Has anyone found out the need for Scooby Snacks yet?

And if we had figured out the purpose of Scooby Snacks, and if it were better for Scum to not know that purpose, then perhaps it would be best not to say anything.
Information helps Town, yes; spend the Night in the library, see what you can learn.
Discussion helps Town, yes. Speculation about the source of the two deaths would be far more interesting to me than the implication that if someone has figured out the purpose of Scooby Snax they should spill the beans right up front.

Billmc and Paranoia were town? I was a tad off base..................for some reason I did think that Archangel was But I thought the other 2 acted a bit SCUMmy... Back to the drawing board. As this day begins there are two players I still think are SCUM (although my radar is not as accurate as I thought it was)
FCOD and IStickler still need to share more.
SCUM got lucky and slew 2 "power type" roles in one night Maybe they have more information than I thought. I really thought that Metal guy would be a prime target or kidnapping Daphne since that was outed..
Questions the validity of their 'claims' now.

I don't appear to have been kidnapped.
At least I'm unaware if I have been.

Maybe they have more information than I thought. I really thought that Metal guy would be a prime target or kidnapping Daphne since that was outed.. Yes, but, or no, and. Yes, Scum probably considered kidnapping Daphne or attacking Mental Guy, but it strikes me that the WIFOM there is too great for them that a protector might choose one or the other; better to strike into the unclaimed pool and hope to hit said protector. I could be wrong, of course. I'm just speculating how I would play. Give One Scooby Snack to Special Ed For no particular reason other than I can.

I don't appear to have been kidnapped. At least I'm unaware if I have been. It will be announced in the game when Daphne is kidnapped. I clarified this with Julie since I wasn't sure if I might just have to guess when Daphne had been kidnapped.

Apologies all for my absence. I know I will probably get heat for being a summy lurker and not voting but unfortunately real life intruded and I had no time to read the thread. In fact I don't think I was online at all from on Friday or over the weekend. I still have to go back and read about 6 pages of Day 1 as it is, to figure out what went on. Again apologies for my non involvement in Day 1, I will endeavour to do much better and be more involved from here on in. And in case my posting details are screwy, this is Greedy Smurf. My welcome message up top of the board is calling me Suburban Plankton

FCOD and IStickler still need to share more. I like gin and tonics, cooking and 90s sitcoms. Scum have more variables in their calculations besides claimed roles. For example, perhaps scum suspect there is a town watcher. It would have been very sensible for the watcher to keep an eye on Ed and would have outed a scum had they kidnapped him. As long as Ed is not kidnapped Mentalguy is just a vanilla townie and scum may as well attempt to get him lynched rather than NKed and then they can focus on players who may be investigative or otherwise information collectors. Or any of a number of situations.

Sorry I haven't been around, the hospital was... stressful. Should be around more now, the rest of our appointments should be quicker.

I think ouw newer players might benefit from a wiki entry on gloating.
Paranoia was a solid Vig target due to his low participation and mild suspicion. especially if there is a compulsive Vig

Does anyone know what a "Town Adviser" actually is? a Google search has turned up nothing of interest... Paranoia was a solid Vig target due to his low participation and mild suspicion. especially if there is a compulsive Vig And Bill was a solid target for Scum due to his being Bill... For our new players, Bill has a reputation for having an almost super-human ability to sniff out Scum, leading him to be a frequent Night 1 target.

I think ouw newer players might benefit from a wiki entry on gloating.[/quote[ Good lord, yes. And add Pinkies for the "sorry", under the sub-heading of "guilt". Or a SK trying to fake compulsive vig. Here's the top of the vote list from yesterday: (Three players had one vote each.) I have to say that with a vote count like this (low totals, large spread, close final count) and the lynch victim as well as three of the other four vote leaders known to be town or presumed town, my instinct is usually that none of the vote leaders was town. (Because how hard would it have been for presumed scum buddies to chuck a few extra votes on archangel or paranoia here and there, given any incentive to at all?) However, the votes on FCOD came generally too late to be significant as incentives (most people who were going to vote already had done so by the time FCOD got his second vote, never mind his third). Also: *archangel: 4 (MentalGuy 319; BillMc 331; FlyingCowOfDoom 349; Special Ed 382) Three of the four are town or presumed town. (And I'm town, who was arguing the hardest against archangel.) A bit hard to conceive of a bandwagon so well supported by town players being ignored entirely by the scum. So while I actually started this post thinking I would be arguing NOT to lynch FCOD, I've done a 180 since looking at the details and think he deserves some attention. vote: FCOD[/color] He wasn't remotely my top suspect when I started this post, though, so the vote could well change.

Ouch, we're not starting this game off on a good foot are we?
In my defense, I stated yesterday that my vote was weak and based on only the slightest suspicion. I agree that it looks bad for me given who the other voters for the lynch were...
It seems to me we should take a closer look at the players who didn't vote yesterDay: Mahaloth, peekercpa, Greedy Smurf, scuzzlebutt, and storyteller.
Mahaloth: So far has posted basically nothing except saying he believes Ed's claim and that he's extremely busy at work. peekercpa: Was participating, voted and unvoted Ed, seems to have disappeared since March 30. Greedy Smurf: Apologized for lurking due to RL issues scuzzlebutt: Was not allowed to vote due to editing infraction storyteller: Didn't vote because name changes were too confusing.
Lots of IRL distractions, except for peeker. peeker, where are you?

Does anyone know what a "Town Adviser" actually is? a Google search has turned up nothing of interest... Probably a role Julie has created that is unique to this game, would be my guess. Peeker hasn't been seen here or in the SDMB game for several days, maybe a week. I'm getting worried about him, tbh. Hope he's OK. This, very much; he hasn't been on Giraffe, either. I need to go back over yesterDay, but add me to the list of people whose meatspace interactions may cut into her mafia time.

Give One Scooby Snack to Special Ed For no particular reason other than I can. So you have no idea what Scooby Snacks do...but you're perfectly willing to pass them around anyway? Or are you simply trying to lighten your magic bag?

It looks like we can't quote posts from the Night 1 thread, but something from Post 8 from last Night struck me... LightFoot said "since we have been having time zone conversations would y'all care to share yours?" The problem is, I don't recall seeing a conversation about time zones anywhere on this board...

So, what does a town advisor do?anyone know peeker IRL? based on comments in the first day, he's an active player. maybe someone can check up on him. i recall reading one player getting into a motorcycle accident.
