Neville Strangeways, Topiary-Watcher Normal people don't want to hang about in topiaries all Night, but you're not exactly normal, are you? You're Neville Strangeways, the nephew of the owner and you love gardens, and shrubberies, and kangaroos, and shrubberies that look like kangaroos. Anyone who enters or leaves Hotel Strangeways passes right by your kangaroo topiary. Sometimes, you get to hear a little something as they go, something they didn't stop to tell anyone else. And sometimes this information is very valuable to Town, which makes it valuable to you since you (and your kangaroo) are Town. You win when all of the Scum are unmasked. just so you know who you are lynching..... This is it Well, looks about that time. I am the Town Investigator.Last night I targeted MentalGuy, who did not leave the Hotel. --FCOD

I suppose it's as possible as a Scum using a fake PM that is practically word for word the same as an actual PM that was given to a Townie. unvote Renata vote captain PinkiesI'm still going to try a speed-reread, but at this point I'd feel much more comfortable with my vote on Pinkies than Renata.

LOL. Is that an "I am scum" admission or a "fuck all'y'all sideways"? Maybe both.

Seriously? The dialog today in my mind has confirmed town verse finding scum. In my book that is a good thing.. I have no idea what you mean by this. No kidding. (snip self vote) I'd still rather lynch Joanie than you. The more time passes since her vote on me without any additional comment, the less likely it actually had anything behind it that would remotely justify band-wagoning someone she said she thought was town barely 24 hours previously. I look, read, watch... For me this day has been about confirming who I believe is town, it hasn't been about finding a scum slip or a smoking gun. You were on my list of questionable people, so I voted for you, yes it was a week vote, never claimed anything else. And I have played in games where scum voted all over the place until something landed. why is that a good tactic? Because it there is no way to analyize the voting record to see who else they might be in cohertz with.

Id like to hear players express their viewpoint of the vote swings from septimus to suburban and from suburban to Renata. while septimus' behavior was strange i felt that he wasn't Scum. he just had a different way of expressing himself. i felt that Plankton was more suspicious. after SP's claim though, i couldn't justify my vote so i unvoted but did not vote again. i'm not convinced about Renata's being scum so i have not voted for her. she has been trying. i appreciate that even if she has marked me as suspicious. i'm more suspicious of Cap after his similar post and Joanie for coming in to vote but never contributing or explaining her votes. so for now: Vote JoanieI think 'd like to see Renata lynched based solely on the fact that she's single-handedly turned my spreadsheet into a nightmare with all of her votes, unvotes, and revotes. I need to try to go back over them and see if I can decipher the meaning behind all of it. I have to admit this made me laugh. it screwed up my spreadsheet too. i've been tempted to vote her for that reason. ;D

I wondered if the number of times a name had to have a line drawn through it was irking atleast someone. @ Suburban Plankton I admitted that my first vote was a ‘poke vote’ (that had no effect) my vote on scuzzlebutt I feel is valid the way I explained it. I will change my vote if I think it is going to make a difference. Right now my vote is not changing anything I realize that but between the claiming, voting/unvoting ……….. Now what the heck is Cap doing ? Is every end of Day going to include a monkey wrench? (back to payroll and taxes= they make more sense)

You are Neville Strangeways, the nephew of the owner. You don't wear a funny uniform, but you do haul people's bags up the stairs and down the stairs. Up the stairs and down the stairs. You do this whether they are currently guests of the hotel or if they've left in a hurry. The difference is that when they leave in a hurry you like to rifle through their belongings a bit first, looking for Scooby Snacks which are then added to your supply.
Despite being a bit, okay a lot, of a thief, your heart is in the right place. You want Town to win, by hook or by crook, and you win if all the Scum are defeated.

If you are town, the way you are acting does nobody any good. Anyone on earth of any alignment could vote you right now on the basis of "crappy vote/crappy claim", and it would be almost impossible to tell town in that group from scum in that group. Your claims to trying to gain information on this point are not ringing true to me, and it's getting short on time to reverse that impression.
(I didn't mean "on my way out the door" in the sense of it being a last-minute vote; I meant I was literally on my way out the door with no time to respond beyond "WTF".)

Yes, I get the snacks of the dead players. What detials would you like? I personally can not use them, but can pass them at night. How 'bout you start with how many Snacks you have collected from the various parties that have fled. And then tell us about the 'passing them at Night' part, since that doesn't seem to be in your PM anywhere.

Yes, I get the snacks of the dead players. What detials would you like? I personally can not use them, but can pass them at night. Color me gullible, but I was almost tempted to believe you until this. A new power suddenly is mentioned after you post your role PM? And a power that contradicts what Julie told me in mine: "You also have the ability to transfer Scooby Snacks during the Night, something no other player can do." PS: Before you go, can you explain the recipes? I wondered whether to run them through decipher.gov but decided that even if that did yield something like we still couldn't be sure about you ....

Unvote Suburban
Vote Captain Pinkies
Here's what I think: I think Cap has not been following the game too much. He probably either didn't see or didn't read over FCoD's fake claim and so claimed the exact same PM save with changing the name. When called on it, though, he is obviously changing his story and now saying the PM said something different. It really seems like furious backpeddling to try to get out of a tight jam due to amateurish mistakes.

I hadn't really intended to waste keystrokes changing my vote, but after clicking reply I see the strokes are already in-place. He probably either didn't see or didn't read over FCoD's fake claim and so claimed the exact same PM save with changing the name. ... amateurish mistakes. But the similarity of role claims FCOD and Cap#1 means they come from a common template, possibly one available on the Scum board. Why the mistake if we're opposed by a clever, pre-meditating Mafia? Are we even certain Scum can communicate? I think there's something else at work. Google "scum self-bussing."

@Captain Pinkies: I'm puzzled by the statement "Again, trying to get as much information as I can before I die...". It seems to me that the more pro-Town move would be to give information before dying, rather than trying to get information. (Unless you have a plan for sharing such information with the rest of the players.)
The use of the same claim as FCoD was bizarre. I'm not sure what type of information you are going to get with everyone jumping on your bandwagon.
Vote Captain Pinkies
