Sorry, I am not going to be on much today. It is my Birthday and I will be damned if I spend my bday on here, no offense. Going to go play with people I can touch...
Here is my vote for now. For lack of participating, Ed you were right, and hell no drink recipes when I need them the most. I am torn about Septimus and feel that maybe another day to see how things go, is worth it. Those that I feel are town are: Renata, Ed, Mentalguy, and Lightfoot.
Those that are suspicious are Septimus, Captain Pinkies. The rest are on my unknown list...
Vote Captain Pinkies

Why does everyone feel like Renata is Town exactly?
Is this an don't lynch the loud thing?
Maybe it's just paranoia, but I'm truly pinged by the way she seems to be probing people for what they think, especially guiri. I know she plays that way, but this game, especially toDay, it just seems over the top.
While it's certainly not enough for me to build a case upon, I'm not seeing this supposed Towniness that everyone else is.

@Guiri: Sorry, yes apparently I did miss Renata's question to me about you. I'm at work right now and don't have time to answer the question at the moment, but will do so during lunch.
@Septimus: Sorry to hear about your wife's friend. May you all reflect on the joy she brought you and how blessed you are to have known her.
@Scuzzlebutt: Happy Birthday!

Scuzzlebutt doesn't give any reason at all, it's just there. That he happens to be right about it doesn't earn him any points. Same with Joanie.
Septimus does have a valid point, in his post on the last page (he assumes his own innocence). He's implying that if I were scum, it would have been stupid and/or a really good acting job to treat FCOD and him the way I have.
Joanie --
Regarding the underlined part, I was being silly to someone who'd commented on having placed six votes or whatever I had by that point. I have no such requirement. What point are you trying to make by bringing that up? Is it an attempted defense of me against Suburban Plankton saying today how many votes I've cast, or something else? Does me saying I have no such requirement change your opinion in any way?

I hope that if we have a Vig left in the game, they will help us out and kill drive off Greedy Smurf and Captain Pinkies. Personally, I would rather concentrate on looking for Scum amongst the active participants rather than having a Silent But Deadly type wafting through the game, picking us off one by one.

I'm back, finally, after a very busy (and stressful) three days. Caught up again, although it was easier this time since there wasn't as much added on.
First and foremost, to me, it seems the only thing Scooby Snacks would be useful for would be whoever Scooby is, although whether Scooby is Town or scum in this game is anyone's guess. Personally, I'm going to keep all of mine and not give away any and would be fine if nobody ever wanted to give any to me.
Second, I don't like the case on Septimus...not before he claimed and especially not after. Most of the remaining votes on him seem to be for weak reasoning. The person in the lead with my personal suspicions right now is Suburban Plankton, due to most of the reasonings put forth already by the others. Mostly the WiFoM (I find myself agreeing with BobArrgh, that it's a good way to subtly spread it while appearing to be joking), the "half" claim, and (as noted above), his reasoning for finding Septimus suspicious. All of these things taken by themselves are just little suspicions..combined, though, they make for a good vote, I feel.
Vote Suburban Plankton

I would prefer to have waited a bit longer to claim, but I sense a shift in the wind, and I am likely to be unable to post anything after I leave work for the day, so now is the best time.
There is another section with some more information that is not relevant at this time, since Daphne has not been kidnapped.
I currently have a fair number of Scooby Snacks. I received some at the beginning of the game and at the beginning of each of the susequent Days, 2 from Special Ed, and 3 from the 'mysterious source' that is currently assumed to be septimus. I have no idea what the Snacks are good for. I would suspect they are nothing but a MacGuffin if Julie hadn't said clearly "Scooby Snacks have various purposes". I suppose the "various purposes" could be limited to "giving and receiving Scooby Snacks", but I very much doubt that's the case. Unless I can find some clear reason why it's better for someone else to have them instead of me, I see no reason to do anything but hold on to them for now.

Can you explain your reluctance to believe Special's claim? Ed asked me the same question on Day 1. I answered him in Post 275. which I'll quote here. Ed, here's why I'm still voting for you. You make your claim, and vote for yourself Post 169: "I am Daphne, and I'm a miller type of role. It appears that my only power is the ability to be kidnapped. I doubt that it's beneficial to Town anyway." A couple Post later, you go ion a little fishing expedition Post 172: "Oh, and if someone has the ability to communicate with me privately, I encourage you to do so." Then you 'refine' your role for us, softening it just a bit (so that your lynch isn't guaranteed because we think you're a Miller?) Post 176: "and to be clear, when I say I'm a miller type role, I doubt that I'll investigate as Scum. My intention was to point out that my 'power' is probably anti-Town, and as such, removing me from the game might not be a bad thing." Renata asks if you know why you might be kidnapped. Your response: Post 182: "I do know. I'm not sure that they know all of the ramifications, so I'd rather not say." You then proceed to hammer home to us that your power is anti-Town Post 203: "My role is anti-Town enough that outed, it's potentially better that I am dead." Post 205: "My power is anti-Town." Post 206: "Finding Daphne can maybe stop the bad for Town, but that's very different from being good. A bit later, you spoonfeed us a bit more information in response to direct questioning Post 231: From this, we know... * 1 Can the kidnap be prevented through protection, roleblocking or vigging? I assume it might be able to be blocked. Other things probably won't interfere. * 2 Can you be lynched or killed while kidnapped? Yes * 3 Is the action of kidnapping trackable/watchable? I don't know * 4 When you are kidnapped, can you continue to post and vote? Yes... * 5 When you say you "know why they might kidnap you", do scum get some sort of benefit if they're successful? Yes Several people comment that this doesn't seem quite so dire a situation as you have been painting, and there's still the question of what you know, what you don't know, what you think you know that the Scum don't know that you don't want to give away by saying anything... Then yesterday afternoon, the entire picture changes. Suddenly, your power really isn't so bad, and we shouldn't lynch you after all. Post 248: "Actually, the benefit to Scum is not that great. it's significant, but not overwhelming. In fact, with it out in the open, the power is only really WiFoM in the hands of the Scum." "I was hoping that someone might slipw with some knowledge about what the actual advantage is, as Scum are probably well aware of it. I'd have to assume." "The Scum have the power to control my vote." And to clarify your objectives: Post 257: "I was hoping there would be some reaction to what I said that might give us...you know...information, and not the benign useful information kind either." You're telling us that this whole charade of yours was an attempt to get 'someone' to slip with information. Apparently you were certain that the only people who would be likely to slip would be Scum? It never occurred to you that your efforts would be at least as likely to out Town as Scum? I have a hard time believeing that you would make that mistake. And you certainly got some information out of MentalGuy. So do you think he's Scum? Or do you think that he's Town, and he 'slipped' in his attempt to support you, and has now painted a big fat bullseye on his back for Scum to shoot at? So, to sum up... - You were at best less than forthcoming, and at worst outright lying, about your role and its implications
I doubt that it's beneficial to Town anyway. my 'power' is probably anti-Town, and as such, removing me from the game might not be a bad thing. My role is anti-Town enough that outed, it's potentially better that I am dead. Actually, the benefit to Scum is not that great...In fact, with it out in the open, the power is only really WiFoM in the hands of the Scum.Is it 'not beneficial' to town, or is it 'probably anti-Town', or is it 'anti-Town to the extent that you should be killed', or is it 'just WIFOM'? I'm not sure that they [Scum] know all of the ramifications, so I'd rather not say. I was hoping that someone might slipw with some knowledge about what the actual advantage is, as Scum are probably well aware of it.So, so are you 'not sure' Scum not know the ramifications, or are the 'probably well aware' of them? - you went on a (brief) fishing expedition ("Oh, and if someone has the ability to communicate with me privately, I encourage you to do so.")
- And you appear to have succeeded in outing a Town Power in MentalGuy.
Maybe you had the best of intentions, but the sum total of your Day 1 efforts appear pretty Scummy to me. For the record, I do believe MentalGuy's claim. I also said shortly after septimus' claim that "If it's genuine, it would strongly support Ed's own claim." I'm not exactly sure what my thought process was at the time, because I can't figure out now what in particular prompted me to say that. I don't know if that's because I wasn't thinking clearly then, or now. It's been a long week.

Let's see the other section. No. You didn't even say "please" I didn't go into the game thinking "There's no Daphne". Actually, I didn't give it much thought at all. But I didn't believe Ed's claim from the beginning. And since nobody counterclaimed him, it seemed like the best alternative theory.

Unvote: septimusVote: suburban planktonI realize Claiming is the cue to Unvote the claimer, not to Vote him. But my reactions are poor, and I'm a slow thinker anyway. I don't know whether his claim is plausible or not, but want to go on record that I am very suspicious of suburban. Let me review my own posts early in Day 3. I tried my hand at bread-crumbing and, I think, sent a clear signal to suburban that he was the target of my largesse. Apparently he missed these bread-crumbs. I think he missed them because he was skimming my posts. He skimmed them because he already knew I was Town.Obviously I'm only 100% certain of the Towniness of archangel and myself but, also obviously, I explicitly invite LightFoot and renata to accept membership in our own group of semi-confirmed pseudo-masons, ... I encourage [other FCOD voters] to embrace the pseudo-masons. One of the players asked me what the questions about Snacks were for. If you were to blurt out "I got 3 Snacks on the morning in question", would it help Scum much? Maybe ... It was suburban who asked me about the questions, and I'd just given him 3 Snacks on the morning in question. Too subtle of a bread-crumb? No. I think he missed it because Scum skim. There's only one player I know of whom I'm certain has more than 3 -- you know who you are -- you have at least five Snacks that I know of. Again, there's no way to read this without realizing septimus at least knows the "mysterious" source. Yet even now, suburban pretends to be unsure who the mysterious source is: and 3 from the 'mysterious source' that is currently assumed to be septimus.... The post where suburban voted to Lynch me seems almost bizarre. Thailand is entirely peopled Buddhist people, and Buddhists are used to having people not trust them ... So, how did Bill know that Ed is Town? ... Why is septimus so certain that Bill's advice was sound?... Something stinks here, and I think it's Yabba Doo. Just in case the direct questions have still not been answered: - I don't know why Bill assumed Ed was Town. I imagine he'd hoped to survive another Day and perhaps give a revised opinion on Night 2.
- I don't know if Bill knew he was advising about Snack transfer specifically, or just giving general advice. I'd thought that other Townies might have been advised Night 1, but none has come forth.
- Where in heaven's name did I imply I was certain (let alone "so certain") that Bill's advice was sound?
Indeed, to the contrary, I did not follow his advice.
Special Ed also has a vote against me; when time permits (if the Town Vig doesn't free me of the need) I'll try to prepare a demonstration that Ed's case against me is also deceitful. Oh, one question, Ed. On Day 1, you implied that you had a useless "miller-type" role, were less valuable than a vanilla Townie, and even voted to Lynch yourself. Is this claim still "operative" or was all that just deceitful play-acting?

Let's see the other section. Yes, please. I agree but if he's scum, they must have more than 2 fake claims. Why would he chose the one that makes least sense of his earlier comments in the game? WIFOM? He hinted that Mental may not be the only person who can rescue Daphne here (italics added): Assume for the moment that Ed is lying about being Daphne. That would imply that he was confident that there would be no counter-claim. Which would further imply that 'Daphne' is not in fact a player in this game, but instead is some sort of 'object'. Perhaps a 'hot potato' that can be possessed by Scum (by kidnapping her) or Town (by rescuing her). Ed could be relying on psychology to save him from an actual lynch; why would Town want to lynch a Townie, especially one who they are supposed to be 'rescuing'? Presumably the Scum, being informed of the kidnapping mechanism, would have been able to figure out (or would have been told outright) that 'Daphne' was not actually a player, so they would have known the claim was safe. And by making the claim, they might have hoped to uncover the person or persons who can rescue Daphne, so they would know who to eliminate once they kidnap her; which they seem to have done successfully in the case of MentalGuy. I haven't quite worked out why, in this scenario, Ed would call for his own lynch, except that it seems like the sort of selfless act that a Townie might make, while we all know "Scum would never do that". Of course, if Ed is on the level then this is all just the musings of an over-active imagination, in which case I hope it entertained you at least... These were musings but he continued with this line of th

Unvote: septimus Vote: Suburban Plankton His disbelief of my claim with that claimed role makes me think something is fishy here. The similarity of the tone and phrasing of his PM gives me pause, but it might be cleverly crafted from what the Scum would know about me. I purposely didn't share my role PM (did I? I'm starting to wonder now) because I didn't want to give the Scum any clues. Oh, one question, Ed. On Day 1, you implied that you had a useless "miller-type" role, were less valuable than a vanilla Townie, and even voted to Lynch yourself. Is this claim still "operative" or was all that just deceitful play-acting? You know, my claim might have made me more valuable than a Miller in that the Scum might be afraid to be watched or tracked in their attempt to kidnap me. My power is pointedly anti-Town (and that's where the comparison to a miller comes from). My self-vote might be similar to yours. As you should know by now, I was hoping the reaction to me might provide some information. I often do things to get conversation flowing. With Suburban's odd claim given his approach towards me, I think that's been proven to be true.
