Looking closer at Colby's post (and I don't care to quote the post above mine, since that would be like quadruple posts, so just know it's the one where he says "I wouldn't think that all of the scum would be the same animal, because I think we're all supposed to be different animals, since I take it that each animal is a character, and no two people can be the same character"), I actually find that to be pretty damn suspicious. I'm not saying it clears Trepa, since Colby could have easily been initially trying to save him then realized it might make him look bad. Since the post is already out there from Trepa about being a Lemming, and someone else saying that it was very similar to theirs, I can safely say (without saying whether I am vanilla, mason, or doctor) that the vanilla town is most likely a lemming. Now if, hypothetically, I got a vanilla town pm and it told me I was a lemming, who are famously (and incorrectly) known for their GROUP mentality of doing stupid things together (aka sheep), which is more likely: that I come to the conclusion that all the other vanilla town are lemmings, or that I assume everyone has a different animal? ~~snip~~ I find your logic interesting (and a bit hard to follow) Silver Jan mentioned lemmings first. Treba (under pressure) has now claimed lemming. Colby is not thinking pack mentality and either is not in a “pack” or is misdirecting us. is that close to what you intended?

I still have a problem with these two posts by Colby. First he acknowledges that rabid is a correct term for one with rabies. Then on second thought, he has a problem with Trepa using it for the scum with rabies. Whether you call this a flip-flop, or a change of heart, or a change of mind, I still find is suspicious. It looks to me like a rabid Colby knew there was nothing wrong with the term and said so. Then reconsidering, decided it would be an easy place for his vote. Didn't Suburban do a similar flip-flop? I'm not sure what to make of this post except that it seems to eliminate Colby from the vanilla pool. Given his positionS on Trepa, I think it likely that it puts him in the scum pool. I drew the same conclusion about Trepa who's since claimed VT with a PM that made it pretty clear all VTs were lemmings.

OOG- I will be leaving Friday for a camping trip, and I don't think I'll be back til after the end of the day. End OOG OOG I will not be back until after the end of the day, because of the camping trip mentioned earlier, plus I have a funeral to go to (it's been a long week). end OOG Why should an investigation be wasted on someone under suspicion? I strongly dislike the vote switch to Colby given that he said he wouldn't be around till after the end of the Day and so won't be able to defend himself or claim. Let Fubbles investigate him (if he so wishes).

Why should an investigation be used on someone NOT under suspicion? (help me here) In my opinion, I think it's better to try to investigate people you think are Town. Then you can create confirmed town players. Town wins the game automatically when the number of confirmed Town exceeds the number of unconfirmed players. Additionally, suspicious players often don't live very long anyway.

Why should an investigation be wasted on someone under suspicion? Fubbleskag's post indicated that his preference was to investigate someone under suspicion: if the non-lynch-leaders reain fairly tied, I'm open to suggestions for Night 1's investigation.

Trepa's use of the term rabid, later confirmed as the Scum term by Meeko and fubble isn't the worst eveidence I've seen, but it's enough for a Day 1 vote.

I too am wondering why Guiri is trying to lead the elephant to look at colby11.
I'm not saying they shouldn't but it should be their choice this early in the game in my opinion.
Also , I know colby11 has stated they'll not be around for the end of Day but that is just sometimes the way it goes.... I don't feel players should be given a free pass just because they aren't around..
I'm becoming more concerned about Trepa Mayfield and their "Rabid" (slip)... I feel that they were lucky that Silver Jan let the cat out of the bag and said that "lemming" is apparently the name for Vanilla TOWN...
Even IF SCUM hadn't / haven't been given a sample Vanilla PM... it wouldn't have been too hard for them to have made one up.
Let's not forget that Meeko did say way back earlier in the Day that there might be slight differences to PM's
With what I've seen so far... and with my vote not making any difference what so ever... Though I do still have a couple of questions regarding my apparent "smudge" unanswered by SisterCoyote... I'm going to
MATCH PACE Sister Coyote
OUTRUN Trepa Mayfield
I don't really buy the "it's a name I made up for SCUM" line of thought...
I quite often give the MOD a nickname that I address them with but I don't do it for the warring factions... I don't think others would either...

interesting. after i mentioned there wasn't a competing bandwagon, a new one popped up. even more interesting is that Trepa has decided to sacrifice himself by unvoting Colby. as for the mason issue, it has come up and been resolved while i was away. there certainly are merits to the masons claiming early. however i would prefer that they do that later in the game. claimed masons are important in the end game. finally, i just want to comment on this. snipped I disagree with that last bit. If the elephant finds Town it makes every bit of sense for that information to be shared (their role=NO) but their alignment YES. Scum already has that information. the cop can't share the role even if s/he wanted to do so. they can only discover alignment.

Since the Mason claiming was brought up again, am I the only one who sees any advantage to the masons claiming early?
Let me make a list. It might simplify things
1. The Cop won't waste an investigation on them. 2. If the Scum try to kill them, they'll be allowing the Doc to live so that we'll keep getting results from the Cop. In effect, for each dead Mason, we'll add a confirmed Town or a found Scum. 3. If the Scum don't kill them, the confirmed pool can only grow. 4. There will be no chance for the Scum to ever counter claim mason and force us to lynch the wrong one. 5. The Vig will never target them.
And the disadvantages. 1. If the Scum attempt to try to find the Doc, their chances go up from 8% to 9% (while the odds of hitting a power role drop from 31% to 18%). 2. The Scum can kill them off on Nights 1 and 2.
Anything that should be added to the list?
PS, I'll be really pissed if the Scum kill the Doc toNight and the Cop investigates a mason.

Elmer entered the zoo through the employee enterance. He was mumbling about something, but then again, he was always mumbling about something. Except today, he couldn't quite make up his mind what he should be mumbling about. He was going to bring up the yearly debate over if the Zoo should even be open on the Fourth of July or not. He thought he was going to argue that the Fireworks were going to stress out the lemmings, again, this year.
Except, other things always, always, got in his way.
Elmer had high hopes that we would get to be near the Elephant exhibit. He had heard rumors about a new baby elephant being born, and he wanted to get a chance to see the rumored elephant before the public did.
But not tonight.
Elmer drew the short straw, again. Quarrantine duty on the rabies outbreak. Elmer knew exactly where he was going, and that was not a good thing.
Elmer walked into the lemming pit, and reached down to grab the first lemming he could find. Elmer caught a lemming indeed....
Elmer has quarrantined Trepa Mayfield,
A Vanilla Lemmus amurensis, better known as an Amur Lemming.
It is now Night 1.
Threads for the Mason and Scum boards will be up momentarilly.
