I said I thought it went a long way to explaining her actions.. I have her pinned as SCUM for now... and with the information we have that SCUM didn't know each other until Night 1 and that they couldn't communicate until then... Perhaps Archangel actually suspected on Day 1 that colby11 was TOWN... was building a case against him to get him lynched... but when Night 1 came along and they discovered they were on the same team... She had to do some real quick back tracking but hasn't managed to do it with much success.. I'm still not sure about Silver Jan either... with this new information... perhaps she put out the info she was a Lemming in the hope that it would alert some fellow SCUM to her also being on their team. Outrun moodymitchyScum did already know each other and it looks as if you are trying to make a case against Archangel which isn't true. The mod seemed to have helped you a little bit there which you have used to your advantage.

Ugh... Back to square one SP... The fact that you either didn't know the answer to what ED ask about the scum knowing each other or you just played dumb and went along with what was being said... Will have to think about that one. What do you think of moodymitchy's reaction to the misinformation? MoodyMitch's reaction to the mis-information was what I expected about Archangel. It was basically what I was thinking when I read that SCUM didn't know each other. About [b[SilverJan[/b], this has always pinged me as it did most everyone: I know you want an answer to what I said but by giving you one I might unintentionally out the power roles and I don't want to do that. I am sorry if this looks a bit cagey and if you push me harder I will tell you exactly what I mean. There should be other players who do know what I mean. This is probably making things worse for me but I don't want to say more. The elephant probably did not have this in their PM. But, then she claims Vanilla Town. The theory that MoodyMitch told was that by stating that she would not be surprised if all the SCUM were the same animal, it might of been a SCUM call with no communication on Night 0 and no Day talk. If you were SCUM would you put yourself out there like this on Day 1? This could also be WIFOM I have a hard time reading MoodyMitch, he is typically aggressive and I have never seen him really play SCUM, I mean there was the Giraffe game but that setup was odd so I don't count that so much. I have to wonder with the mis-information, would SCUM come out and post on it and comment on it knowing it was wrong by the MOD and sooner or later would of been corrected, now maybe to gain some "playing dumb sort of town credit" I would be more concerned with the players that never commented on it, but they would have to be on the boards during that time. Sorry I am rambling, I need coffee! Have fun Pinkies! Where the heck do you live?

The reveals made me believe that first thing I'd seen was wrong. In retrospect, with Cody flipping scum, I was in fact right. But for the seventy-billionth time, I'm not saying what it was because it will harm TOWN to do so. If/when I see someone else do the same thing, if it will help catch scum, I will say so, but not until then. You have 3 votes now and are understandably under a fair amount of suspicion since Colby flipped scum. If you are Town, at what point is the harm of a mislynch, with little information to be gained, greater than the harm of sharing your thoughts? You've posted about little else apart from this topic, what are your thoughts on other players? The game in general? Do you really think Special Ed is scum because he's suggested a possible scum motivation for your play? Answering backwards. First of all my post saying "well, that makes me look bad but nevertheless I'm town" should be a clear indication that I have no bloody clue when scum knew each other. So I'm doubly suspicious of anyone who keeps their vote on me now. And I'm not voting Ed for voting me, I'm voting him for saying BEFORE CODY FLIPPED that if Cody flipped scum, I must be scum too. That is a classic scum technique, and I believe he knew Cody would flip scum. Yes, there may come a time when sharing my information is preferable to a mislynch. I'm not going to be bullied into it though (not saying you're bullying, saying other people seem to be trying that) and it's too early in the day.

And, as for my ideas on other people, the possibility than Silverjan is scum is there but I don't think so, her reaction to the insistence that she was a mason was very natural. I also don't think Mitchy is necessarily scum; his vote on me is characteristic of how he plays. Suburban Plankton I trust nearly as much as Fubbleskag based on his actions.
I'm leaning towards Cap being scum now because he voted me without reading, and then disappeared. (He knows how I play as town and generally votes me like this when he's scum and I'm not.)
Other than that, I don't have strong feelings on anyone yet.

You know what, Guiri? You're right. I'm thinking about it and continuing to argue about this for the rest of today only benefits scum. It's come time where it's more pro-town to explain myself than to continue this. I was getting annoyed so I wasn't looking at the big picture and for that I'm sorry. This is what happened. I read Cody's post as others did, where he said "it seems all animals have their own character name" or something like that, as a clear indication that he was not vanilla town, he was either scum or a power. ( More about this in a minute, I know it's going to be questioned but the answer belongs a little bit below.( I was hesitant to vote him because he might be a town power, but was also suspicious of him due to his flip-flop on Trepa. The next day, when the reveals that each vanilla town had his or her own species name, I suspected him less on this count. And 2 or 3 other people had pointed this out already, so I thought it was anti-town to repeat it again. Anyone who noticed this is either scum or vanilla town. I am vanilla town but I didn't want to further reduce the pool for town power when several of you had already done so. Now, the part I'll be questioned on, I'm sure. When Janet claimed, which I believe was a genuine town action, I didn't notice her species was different than mine. I thought she'd posted the same thing as my PM so I thought all vanilla town had the same genus and species. So, there it is. Now, Ed will call me an idiot and say this wasn't a good reason. He may well be right. Maybe I'm an idiot and maybe it wasn't a good reason. When Surburban Plankton read my response as me being a power role, I thought perhaps it was a good thing, that scum might try to kill me at night and that would be better than them actually killing a power role. I find it highly curious that Ed never once commented on that idea though and kept insisting that the only explanation for my behavior was that I'm scum. The post I made saying that Meeko's revelation made me look bad but nevertheless, I'm not scum should be a strong indication I'm telling the truth here. If I were scum I would have objected to that post rather than admitting that it made me look guilty.

Thanks for that Archangel, I will be able to sleep at night now I must say I was a bit worried about the different species of Lemming at first but now we know that scum could have the same genus. Is this zoo over run with Lemmings hehe. I think I may have to think again about my vote on moody but I am not ready to take it off just yet, I will be back later after I reread.

Because it's anti-Town to repeat something? What exactly was the big risk of saying "I suspected Colby for saying everybody was a different animal, but after the reveals it seems that the Vanilla Townies are different species of lemming, so I'm no longer so suspicious"?

As noted above, the reason I didn't want to reveal it was because 2 or 3 other people had already pointed it out, thus reducing the power pool for scum. I believe Janet's telling the truth, so there's Janet, plus the other people who had pointed it out before me.
Me stating it meant I would have to claim vanilla town, which would reduce the pool further. But you'd pointed out the possibility that what I could mean was that I was a town power role. I preferred to leave that impression on the table in the hopes scum would believe it and choose me to kill last night rather than a real town power.

@ Archangel, who was the second player you noticed this about?
If I'm understanding you correctly, you are saying that, on D1, anyone who suggested that Colby was non-vanilla (due to his comment about everyone being a different animal) must be VT themselves, is that it? And so, if on D2 you admitted that you suspected Colby was non-vanilla, you were basically claiming VT, even if you realized that your deduction may no longer be correct? Do I win a prize?

@Archangel
You didn't want to mention (now lets see if I get this right) That colby11 had mentioned that he thought all vanilla were the same genus of Lemming on D1... you kept quite about it because a couple of other people had spotted that he'd made this assumption and that he was wrong...
By Day 2 we'd got another vanilla TOWN dead but from a different strain of Lemming... we don't need to be experts in zoology to see this.. we don't have to be anything. we just need to be able to read...
You say you kept quite about it until now for fear of narrowing down the pool for powers to hide in which (according to you) a few players have done already...
Still living in this game we only have 2 "claimed" players... our Cop fubbleskag and our dubious lemming Silver Jan.
I still think you are trying to spin a tale... and even if you are telling the truth.. you've just narrowed the pool down and I think at this stage of the game with SCUM only having 1 Night Kill...
I'd take a mis lynch of a Vanilla rather than a power... but of course I'd prefer a SCUM which I still think you are...
@guiri Do you only question the participating players... have you nothing to ask those that might well be reading along but not saying much because they can just go with the flow?

I should have noticed it when Janet posted but I didn't. So when I noticed, I was no longer suspicious of Cody for that reason. But to explain would mean I'd have to claim vanilla town, which I thought was wrong, given that so many had claimed vanilla town de facto already. Let me answer your last question in a separate post to make it clear.

I poked all the non or low participants yesterDay and planned to do so again later toDay. CIAS, whose vote yesterDay is very suspect, promised to be back toMorrow. InnerStickler is due back toDay. SisterCoyote was due back on Sunday but has yet to check in. I was intending to ask Deni how her read of D2 was going. GnarlyCharlie and Lightfoot are around but not contributing, that's suspect given the relevations last night. That leaves Story who hasn't been around for a week now, I'm not sure what good a poke would do there.

Okay, what I'm saying about Meeko's post:
1. You asked Meeko if the scum could identify each other before Night 1.
2. He came in and said no.
3. I commented that this made me look bad, clearly. (Because me being scum and going after Colby Day 1, not knowing he's scum, and then finding out he's scum on Night 1 and backtracking Day 2 is a plausible scenario.)
4. Meeko came in and clarified that scum did in fact know who each other were prior to Night 1, meaning what I agreed made me look bad wasn't true.
I had no knowledge of whether or not scum knew each other before Night 1, so when the moderator posted indicating they didn't I posted that I could see why that made me look bad. And yet it turned out not to be true.

But see my post from toDay, #73. I'm saying I can see it's a plausible theory given Meeko's revelation that scum didn't know who each other was on Day One.
Meeko later retracted this because he misunderstood the question. If I were scum I would know this was untrue, and I would complain to Meeko about it privately rather than posting on THIS board saying "Yes, that makes me look suspicious, doesn't it?"

Archangel, I find your explanation to be extremely weak. It sounds like you made a statement that you shouldn't have made, couldn't figure out how to defend it, and have been progressively digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole in an attempt to explain it away.
On the other hand, I'd think the collective intellect of the Scum team would have been able to come up with a more plausible story that this, given the amount of time that has passed.
By my count, 5 of the 16 players still alive in this game have not made a single post Today. That makes me very uncomfortable.

As I was going back over my list of 'most likely suspects' my eye fell on JustBeingGinger. He seemed like a good target; after all, I voted for him Yesterday, and he continues to try to link colby and I together Today. But there's one problem. JBG changed his vote from Captain Pinkies to colby11 Yesterday just 25 minutes before EoD. Had he voted for me instead of colby at that point, it would have tied the vote.
If JBG is Scum, his vote basically guaranteed a Scum lynch, whereas if he had voted me to tie, there would have been a 50/50 chance of colby escaping. So I must place JBG in the 'most likely Town' category.

Some things regarding Archangel During day 1, she asked this: Meeko, did you use the same PM for all scum? For all vanilla town? For all masons? Or is it possible there are inconsistencies in them? She then votes Trepa regarding the 'rabid' thing She does go on to point out that she's suspicious of 3 people, but colby for 2 reasons, the others for reasons that might not be pro-Town ~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Day 2, when question by Lightfoot, she says 1 reason was the flip-flop on Trepa. While defending her not saying what was anti-Town, she reveals that others, including guiri, have mentioned the exact thing. She holds that it's anti-Town to reveal it. Does her current explanation still hold water? She noticed that the Vanilla were different species, but all lemmings. Didn't we all know that at that point? I mean, it was obvious. It was a topic of conversation regarding 5 different lemmings who are 'lemmus' How is it anti-Town to point out people who are discussing something that is openly revealed in the game? ~~~~~~ Even after colby flips Scum, she maintains that it is anti-Town to reveal what she saw. In her explanation toDay, she says what was anti-Town was repeating what others have said. She claims that anyone who noticed that they were different types of lemmings were either Vanilla or Scum. 2 points here: 1. we all should have noticed they were differnt types of lemmings 2. wouldn't we want to ID the people who might be Scum so that we can, you know, lynch them? ~~~~~~~~~~~ She also claims that with Silver Jan's claim, she didn't notice the different species of lemming. This puzzles me more. Did you not notice that Silver Jan and Trepa claimed different species? Did you not notice people talking about that? Was your species different from the one Trepa claimed? Archangel, what type of lemming are you? ~~~~~ And, yes, I'm giving you absolutely no Townie Cred for acting like a townie in this thread. Sorry, I'm surprised you would even ask for it.

I would not, as scum, state on this board that I look suspicious for a reason that I knew to be untrue. If you think I would, so be it. So, if you were Scum, you wouldn't: 1. Complain to meeko on the Scum board that his answer makes you look more suspicious, knowing he's wrong and will correct it. 2. Post on the Town board about howw suspicious you look, knowing Meeko is going to correct himself. 3. Then claim that you look more Townish because you would never point out how bad you looked in the first place? That sounds like exactly something you would do as Scum. You have a tendency, as Scum, to point at the things you are doing and say, "I would never do that as Scum." or "I've done that in the past and always been Town." It's meaningless, and earns you no Townie Cred from me.

I have the very same tendency as town. Whatever, there's no point in arguing this anymore then, just let me say I told you so.
I am a lemmus portenkoi, "better known as a Wrangel Island Lemming."
May be spelling some of that wrong.

If that's true then I'd like to respectfully suggest that this game is broken. I am vanilla town and I'm telling the truth. Meeko said there is no way to handshake. It is, in fact a handshake, then.
