You hastily beat it out the door today as the news reports the latest body found belonged to that of one Meredith Hightower, respected local physician.
Authorities were also surprised to have found out that she was also local cleanliness vigilante, The Hygienist. Although authorities did not condone her unlawful cleaning practices, they were appalled by the manner in which her assailants had disposed of her.
Making your way down to the town hall you find that the way in is blocked by a rather ranty old fellow. he has a sign around his neck proclaiming THE END IS NIGH, and he is busy going on about the endtimes. You politely take one of his pamphlets about barbarian star space gods that will descend from the heavens on guitars and quietly pitch it when he assails the next person up the steps.
You have no idea what that was all about.
Moodymitchy, Insane Hygenist, Town Doctor and one-shot omnikill delayer has died.
Day Ends on Wednesday, the 2nd of NOVEMBER at 10:00 pm CDT

I don't wonder because he already said he did. Basically I'm TOWN Doc that also has a one shot cleanliness heist. The means/ meant that I could for one night only protect all players.. the trade off being that IF any players were targeted that Night to die... they would do so at the end of the next Day... I did this Night 1 as I wasn't really sure who to protect.. I thought it would be interesting to see what discussion it raised and as I've also made pretty clear.... I didn't believe the claim made by Drain Bead. So there's your explanation as to why Sister Coyote died at the end of Day 2 with the colour stating that she'd received the injuries earlier.

Quite a few claims at the end of the day: - Moody's N1 action explains why there were no deaths on N1.
SisC died at the end of D2 rather than N1. Drain died at the end of D3, while Sinjin died at the end of N2. Either we have a poisoner who can act day and night, two poisoners, Sinjin's poisoning got delayed due to Moody, or something else.
- Ginger, is claiming some sort of one shot remorseful day vig. I agree with Moody that her claim has some contradictions. Whether it was a day or night action, and whether it was a true vig. In this quote, Ginger appears to be saying that if she targets a townie, the townie will live, but Ginger will die - so producing someone who is effectively mod-confirmed town. This is a pretty powerful role. Typically a remorseful vig would kill the target too, but Ginger appears to be saying that the target will only die if scum.
- Which brings me to Texcat's claim of Day Doc. If Ginger's claim is to be believed, then the only folk at risk of dying from her Day Vig would be Scum (since if she hit town, she would only die). So why do we need a day doc to protect scum? Also, Ginger's claim states that things will halt - so it is also effectively an immediate action. Ginger can you succinctly restate your claim?
Is Texcat there to protect against the poisoner? Sinjin's poisoning appears to be have been affected by Moody's N1 action, so the poisoning would be a night action - so Texcat could not protect against that.
Overall, Texcat's claim looks weakest and kinda pointless Vote: Texcat

If poisoning is a night action, how did Drain die at Dusk then? I think it's more likely that poisoning is a day action and Sinjin's was delayed to the next morning because of Moody's clean sweep.

If poisoning is a night action, how did Drain die at Dusk then? I think it's more likely that poisoning is a day action and Sinjin's was delayed to the next morning because of Moody's clean sweep. SisC was the N1 NK - she should have died at Dawn on D2 but died at Dusk D2. Sinjin was poisoned - she should have died at X, but died N2 (dawn) Drain was poisoned - she should have died at Y, but died D3 (dusk) So Sisc's death was delayed a half cycle - dying at dusk rather than dawn. In which case, it would reasonable to assume that Sinjin should have died at dusk rather than dawn - a half cycle earlier. My assumption would be that since Moody affected Sinjin's death, the action would have taken place at night, but you could be right that he could have affected an action from the previous day.

First off - Thanks Deon, I love seeing all the days votes in one thread. Second - Paulwiag, what going on? You don't vote for 2 days and then you make a comment that shows you didn't read through the thread. Third - The last 2 hours of EOD was crazy. My mind couldn't even begin to process all that information until the next day. During the Night I came to the conclusion that I don't like Texcat's claim. It started with Pollux's question during the last half an hour, "How does that help town?" and literally I was lying in bed just about a sleep when I bolted up and realized it didn't. Fourth - Peeker coming at the last minute and throwing in a stupid vote just added to the confusion. I can help but continue to think that was exactly your point. Fifth - Special Ed - commenting 27 minutes after EOD "very disappointing" No kidding that was disappointing. At first I was thinking your game play was different because of other reasons but now I think you and your scum team are just having fun spinning us around in circles. Lastly - The fact that 5 out of 16 living players didn't vote is beyond irritating. Now many of you know I tend to vote later in the day mostly because it takes me a while to figure out who I want to vote. I will say toDay will be no exception because I truly cannot decide if I should vote for Texcat, Paulwiag, Peeker or Special Ed. Just thought I would give everyone my thoughts for now.

@BillMc
Here is the PM
You are Steakhouse Tex, Entrepreneur and Desperado.
You've lived here for years after moving in from the lone star state.
You came to bring one thing.
Steakhouses with affordable prices and a friendly atmosphere.
And to dispense old-west justice your own way, no matter what these city slickers think.
You are the town desperado. Once per game you may post during a day phase
DESPERADO: <players name>
Things will then halt while I write a short flavor blurb. If your target was mafia, they will die and you will be essentially cleared town.
If they are town you will die yourself, but they will be confirmed town.
You win when all threats to the town are eliminated or otherwise removed from the game.
***********************************************************************
The only thing with Texcat[/[b is that we are not aware of ALL the powers in this game and there may be more powers that have killing day actions. It is not safe to assume that I am the only Day killing action.

Okay, first things first, switch off the Halloween theme...okay, done. Let's get down to brass tacks. 1. TexcatMuch like others have already said, if Ginger is a town power, your power is anti-town, which isn't right. Of course, Ginger could be the liar in this scenario, however there is stronger evidence against you here. Namely, in Post #195 yesterDay you say you have been protecting Drainbead. If you have been.... WHY THE HELL IS SHE DEAD? Vote: Texcat You have my vote until you come up with a reasonable explanation for that. Good luck. 2. PeekerYou're next on my list, simply because you're playing half-assed. You vote for a claimed doc. I let it pass, saying "Wait for it..." because I thought you were voting as you were reading, and you would change up your vote once you got to moody's claim. Instead, you keep your vote on a claimed doc. Not only that, but a doc who has an explanation for why we had no Night One kills. If you're town, you're playing lazy and like a dumbass. Get your freakin' act together, otherwise you've got my vote next. 3. PaulwhoisaghostYou're next after peeker, simply because Mitch said he used his omnikill block on Night One in the Day Three thread. Not reading things, aka skimming, is a sign of scummitude. Yeah, yeah, I get you're busy. I'm still suspicious. Also to answer your question, I got a message this morning. 4. deon and gnarlycharlieWould the two of you get together and let us know which of the two of you is the lurker scum? Thanks. 5. BillMcYou're not dead yet. That makes me suspicious. --- Finally, I think our poisoner is town-oriented. So far, both sinjin and drainbead seem to have bitten it by poison, and both of them were possible targets for town vigging. In fact, I think I know who the poisoner is, but I could be wrong. However, I have a little message for the poisoner, if they are town-oriented: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP POISONING PEOPLE. If you're third-party, okay I forgive you, but if you're town, good freaking Lord, man.

Overall, Texcat's claim looks weakest and kinda pointless Vote: Texcat
Surely you jest. Point #1: Ginger's claim, with her 'misunderstanding' is by far the weaker claim. it's made all the weaker by the fact that she failed to use her power. Why not us it on a lurker if nothing else? What did she have to gai? She had to know she'd still be a leading lynch candidate. Point #2: You conclude that sinjin was poisoned at Night because....? And you conclude that it was moodymitchy's action which delayed her death because....?

Just got done reading Day 3... and here's the best part... Ugh. That's a lot of non-voters. I may as well claim: You are Darlene Harris, housewife and chairman of Civilians Against Crime. Your organization patrols the streets to keep them safe. You have the Day watch, and mostly only have sore feet to show for it. You are the town Day protector. You can protect any player, except yourself, from a Day kill. You win when all threats to the town are eliminated or otherwise removed from play. [col or=Blue] vote: lightfoot This is part OMGUS vote. I didn't like her vote on me. I don't think I was trying to turn the conversation to Drain. I was trying to turn the conversation to moody. And her drive-by smudge of Inner in the same post, also struck me as odd. Inner has hardly posted at all toDay. I don't think you can claim he's tried to move the conversation.
Okay okay... first things first... if this is a town role, than it's very odd... secondly, how can you protect someone during the Day? Any Day killer would have to announce who they are killing and then the game stops until the mod writes the blurb and offs the target right? So what... you protect them in advance and should anyone choose to target that person they don't die and the publicly announced Day kill just fizzles? I would read this ability more as a protection against poisoning... then there's this... On night 0 and night 1, I protected peeker. He's always an early lynch victim. After that I have protected Drain, cause I mostly believe her claim. I did PM Paranoia to ask about whether Day kill meant lynch, and received a no comment reply. ORLY? You have a DAY power D-A-I-Y-E Day... But you used it on Night 0.... if I recall correctly there were no actions on Night 0. And then again on Night 1? It can't be that you said Night but meant Day... because there was no such thing as Day 0.... And if you have been protecting Drain since then, then why did Drain die of Poisoning at Dusk after Day 3? Which means your power doesn't protect against poisoning.... or that you're lying... or both. Yeah... I think your claim is full of isht. Vote: Vote Texcat

Please, for the love of Og, let's lynch Ginger. Or, if you're of the camp that I'm Scum, let's convince her to "desperado" me. I'm actually in agreement with the logic behind lynching Ginger. If she's being honest, then all she's doing at this point is sitting around waiting for the scum to off her... she's Kill bait. Meanwhile, she could use her ability and either give us a scum or a confirmed townie.... We vote for ginger... if she's really who she says she is, then it puts pressure on her to use her power and have her death be a complete waste. She shoots, town has nothing to fear because if she hits town we get a confirmed townie. If she hits scum, hooray!, we unvote her and got one less scum to find. Not using her power is anti-town. Especially now that she has outed herself. If she doesn't use her power she's either gonna get lynched or NK'd and we gain nothing from her having that power. If she uses the power at least we would gain something if she died. Of course, she could be scum and false claimed to save her life... she did stumble on the details of her claim.... I personally feel like it's possible she misintrepretted the wording of her claim.... I think Texcat stumbled way more on their claim.

This is getting in the way of actual scum hunting and I see no reason to keep it secret. I have no idea how to utilize this power for the betterment of town... so here goes. I can give people the ability to send a message each Night. Night 1 I gave the message to Peeker, he sent it to you Ed. Night 2 I gave it to Mitch, recipient unknown. (which is odd because my PM states that I deliver the message...) Night 3 I gave the message to Ed, who apparently sent it to Pollux. All of which is useless and stupid because none of it confirms alignment in any shape or form.

Ok, first, I'm sorry I missed the fireworks yesterday. (And I do mean I'm REALLY sorry to have missed the fireworks yesterday.) Thursday and Friday are the worst possible days for me. Wednesday is my day off so I should be online a lot at the end of the game-day.
Day / night end time sucks though. It's 4:00AM over here. Yeah, I've managed to be online twice out of three nights so far, but that's largely because I got lucky with work schedules those days. FWIW, I will try and post a lot more in this (game) day than I could yesterday.
Now as regards Texcat, I think three possibilities have been helpfully pointed out:
1) That DrainBead's death was the result of a delayed night-kill that Tex can't block. In which case we're in the position of having no evidence (if you accept Moody's statement, and I do) that anybody can day-kill at all. So what's the point of Tex's role?
2) That DrainBead's death was the result of a delayed night-kill that Tex can block. Only... she didn't. Therefore she lied about who he protected.
3) That DrainBead's death was the result of a daykill. In which case Tex is lying her ass off about her role, presumably to cover her ass.
I HATE voting based on role-analysis, since mine always seems to be wrong. However, on the principle of "vote for the most confirmed liar" if for no other reason: Vote: Texcat.

Actually, I would prefer to see JBG take out Texcat since most of us are already in agreement to Texcat's alignment. Either way JBG shoots we end up with a confirmed town. The truth of the matter is that if she is lying she won't/can't kill, then we lynch her. If she doesn't use her power and she is town I can not think why scum would let her live. It makes the most sense to me if she is town to use a power like that while she can.

Day / night end time sucks though. It's 4:00AM over here. I don't think there is a time that would be perfect for EOD but that is a lot of you that have EOD close to 4:00am. Maybe we could just not have so much excitement at the EOD. Certainly would be easier on my brain if I didn't experience that chaos again.

I'm not going to screw this one up again, and if Texcat goes out thanks to a vig bullet, that leaves us looking for another target for the lynch. My advice to Ginger, assuming she's telling the truth, would be to take out someone who is suspicious enough to be a potential mislynch, but would be a valuable asset if they were confirmed as town. Ed and Peeker would be my top picks. I wouldn't waste the power on someone like Deon.
