@paul in regards to your way too damn long post..
I have not yet stated my case against Bill.
And it's not a terribly strong one. In fact, it's terribly weak. He's just not really Scum hunting. He's not expressing opinions as much as he usually does, and he's not arguing for the lynch of people he suspects.
I do believe that texcat vote could have been a bus, and Bill is smart enough to know he would have to do it early. He also would have known that others were also likely to get some traction in the voting toDay. But, in any case, a late bus vote would have been less powerful.
I was also hoping to see who might support/oppose his lynch, as that information might be useful if/when he dies
~~~~~~~~~
Does anyone recall who was the first to suggest that Ginger shoot at texcat? and who were the people who pushed for it and against it?
IIRC - it was me that first suggested JBG shoot at Texcat based on the fact most of us already thought Texcat was scum.
To be more clear, it's all information. If it points to Scum, I'm not sure, but I'm puzzled as to why Pollux and Moley would argue against killing texcat. As soon as you suggested it, Deni, it was quite obviously the right choice.
If Ginger had shot her near the end of the day, it would've left us scrabbling around for a new lynch leader. I hate last-minute lynches. The moment it occurred to me that Ginger could shoot sooner than that (eight minutes later, by the timestamps), I suggested she take out Texcat ASAP so that we could have some proper discussion before End of Day on who else to take out. Also, Ed, you have a real knack for making a guy feel smudged, you know that? "Hmmmmm", indeed?
As soon as you suggested it, Deni, it was quite obviously the right choice. Let me try to make this clear: 1. Texcat presents a claim that she can protect against Daykills. 2. The suggestion was made that Ginger use a Daykill power on her. 3. It is plausible for a scum to claim they have the same power, just spin their claim that they are town instead of scum. 4. Therefore, I objected to Ginger targetting texcat because if texcat was scum and actually had the power she claimed, she could block Ginger's attempt on her life with unknown side effects. It's easy in hindsight to point at me and say "he objected to killing texcat!" because the Ginger thing went off without a hitch, but can you honestly say the conclusion I drew with the information we had at the time was inherently scummy? I wasn't against lynching texcat, I was against possibly wasting Ginger's power on her.
IIRC EOD should be in about 2 hours. To prevent last minute scrumbles a vote count would be quite pleasant. n'est pa?
I can get behind that lynch I'll admit I have a blind spot for Moley, mostly because he tends to accuse me of being scum in every game. So my reaction tends to be to take everything he does with a grain of salt to make sure I don't wear OMGUS goggles while evaluating his scummitude. Between Deon the lurker and Moley, I dunno. Lemme take a quick look at Moley's posts again.
NETA I don't know for certain that Deon IS Scum ( if I did I would be one right?) my case is sound to me
@ Ed I had a bit almost ready to go on Bill but Deon "smelled " worse to me
Pollux your last minute (OK 1/2 hour) scramble to pick one of the lynch leaders to vote for smells a bit funny to me?
Of course we may have gone to different schools.
I can get behind that lynch Unvote: Bill Vote: Honest Moley
Well, didn't expect that. A couple of things I've done recently: - I was the first person to ever actually vote for Texcat, with nobody ever having expressed any suspicion of her before then, except one line by Sinjin at the end of Day Two. - Two people ( Deni and Lightfoot) agreed with my case on Texcat. Which turned out to be right. - And what you neglected to mention, Ed, in your analysis above, was that I was already voting for Texcat when Deni made her suggestion. FTR I was seriously considering a Bill vote. I do think he's done practically nothing for the town. But I don't exactly have a choice here and I know I'm not scum, so... Vote: Deon.
My feeling is still that Bill has done nothing for the town and there seems to be only four of us online right now. I am 100% fine with a Bill lynch, and would prefer it to a Deon one. If you really want to test your theory, I suggest you switch your vote. You can switch it back if I don't do the same thing immediately.
Pollux your last minute (OK 1/2 hour) scramble to pick one of the lynch leaders to vote for smells a bit funny to me? I hate last minute scrambles. I'd hate to see the scum manipulate the lynch at the last minute. A 2-1-1-1-1-1-1 spread going into the last half-hour of the Day? Terrible for town, great for scum. As far as I could tell, me and Ed were the only ones around. He switched to Moley. Is Ed doing a scum maneuver or is he in the same predicament as me? That's why I went to check Moley's posts. Ed, town or scum, you've been remarkably wrong most of the game so far. I mean, remarkably wrong on an insane level. And I'm not getting any scummy vibes from Moley's posts. As far as I'm concerned, nearly every Day has come down to a last minute kerfuffle. We need active players/town, and Deon is suspicious and a serious lurker. Unvote: peeker Vote: Deon I still think peeker is suspicious but nobody else is jumping that train toDay, so.
