I'm not sure what's going on with Pizza. I don't know if this is a really elaborate snuggle or what, because I don't feel like I'm playing any differently than I have in the past and he historically gets mad scum vibes off me. I feel the need to distance myself from him. I'm not going to vote for him, because I'm getting a strong Town vibe from him - I think he's right that too many voters are knee-jerking violently and not thinking their votes through, I think he's wrong that Pleo's play hasn't been anti-Town, but overall I think I'm seeing a player with a vested interest in seeing Town win. I'm just not sure what to make of his crusade on my behalf. I am bemused. I kept my word and didn't go after you round one. From the last game. That said, this is totally different. Someone needs to defend you if you are innocent, and furthermore, I really don't get a scum vibe from your action choices. I can't read your p-p-p-p-poker face. At all. However, if you're wearing your poker face while doing stuff I think you'd only do as townie, I don't need to see past the poker face to think you're town.

Basically you didn't do anything in the last few games where I could go *snap* that's uber townie behavior.
And I can't read you, for real. I'm bad at it, as has been demonstrated.
That said, you could be any player, and I'd consider that huge bid for the merc on round one telling. It's not you, so much as the action, which colors my opinion here.

That's your big scum tell? Ginger arriving late?
I've never played with Ginger before, but your kneejerk reaction doesn't strike me as any different than Meeko freaking out about [insert whatever you want here].
She had earlier votes than mine. Mine was a pressure vote (in case that wasn't clear from the pissing in the wind comment) she showed up. I unvoted. She's getting the benefit of the doubt like many others as far as I'm concerned. Shit happens. This game took forever to get going. A friend figured out a way to get her attention where the mod's previous prods may have failed.

ATTENTION
Sorry, I know this is obnoxious and I promise you I'll only do it very rarely when it's really important.
I have a very strong lean on Ginger as being scum at present. However, I have a method of handling it which guarantees no mistakes.
This method will take precisely two rounds to complete, and if I am incorrect, no harm, no foul.
Please give me two rounds (day and night, day and night) to do my thing.
If at the end of these two rounds I am dead and Ginger still exists, that is inconclusive.
If at the end of these two rounds Ginger is dead, either the scums killed her first, or she was scum. End of story.
You will not have to waste a lynch on my hunch.
I am requesting the vigilante not target her tonight while I do my thing.
I know this is secretive and unilateral. 2 rounds benefit of the doubt, you'll have your answers, a live townie hopefully, or a dead scumbag.
You have my word.

I mean...seriously. I'd like to hear her thoughts on the game and I don't get your (over) reaction at all, Pizza.

I'm doing my second read, but timing has proved bad and voting will be a struggle. I know this is secretive and unilateral. 2 rounds benefit of the doubt, you'll have your answers, a live townie hopefully, or a dead scumbag. You have my word. For the avoidance of doubt. You require Day 2, Night 2, Day 3 and Night 3 to carry this out? Or does the "two rounds" start with Night 2?

That's your big scum tell? Ginger arriving late? No. Otherwise I would be after others with similar circumstances. The tell is the fact that she arrived minutes after pressure began ramping up on her, implying she was aware of the game and reading it, without participating. As such, that would mean she is, by rule, lying about having forgotten about the game. And that will only occur from lurking scumbags.
But no matter. I will prove my worth, or lack thereof, to the town by handling this one myself (sort of). You don't even have to agree with me, and I won't waste any of your time forcing you to chase down this particular hunch. If I am correct, then I'll guess that you'll be saying "woah, good call Pizzaguy". That's all I'll ask for. And if I'm wrong, I just saved you another mislynch.

How is one vote and one post 'ramping up'?

How is one vote and one post 'ramping up'? Damage control. Had she not posted, it might have been more than two folks reacting in agreement that she's not carrying her weight. Cookies, you must understand if she flips guilty you'll have explaining to do.

She had a penalty vote and Parz voted for her some time ago. I voted for her, and then Colby11 commented about thinking about voting for her. That's not 'ramping up' imho. What happened to the KidV votes after he claimed to have protected himself...that's ramping up.

And if she flips scum I'll explain that your premise is flimsy, and a even a broken clock is right twice a day.

And if she flips scum I'll explain that your premise is flimsy, and a even a broken clock is right twice a day. Be careful, cookies. If she flips scum then I will, unequivocally, require your death. And if you are scum as well, then this "broken clock" will have been right twice in one half of one hour. I accept, for now, that you simply don't agree with me. That's fine. If she flips scum, then I am suspecting foul play with your defense. I'm sure you'll agree that's fair. One townie for one scum is a good trade, even if I'm wrong about you, I'll have gotten one.

Defending fellow townies is risky, yes?
Defending fellow scumbags is a death sentence. I promise you this. Don't try it while I live.

I'll toss this on top:
If Ginger flips scum, and then you go for Cookies and if she flips townie, then you can remove me for being wrong.
I am not pulling a bussing play. Two townies for one scum is still a good trade.

I'm leaning your way on Ginger, Pizza, (mmm, ginger pizza) but I think you're dead wrong about Cookies; this is typical play for her IMO -- a preference for moderation.
Though she can be remarkably like a pit bull when she's sure she's right, too.

I have a problem here - Did Lightfoot really contact another player regarding the game outside of game channels? That's a big big no-no, and potentially game changing.

Fair enough. I will trust your judgment on Cookies playing normally.
This isn't related to Cookies, really. Flinching from being a lurker just when you get voted is a common, rookie mistake scumbags sometimes make.
Anyone questioning that, either hasn't experienced mafia the same way I have, or could be defending a teammate.
We badly need leads. I am prepared to pick at the first potentially solid lead we have in the hopes we can bust this game wide open for the town.
That's worth expending all my resources and my life in the attempt, if necessary. It's worth it in the short and long term.

That was at SisCoy, obviously.
And what KidV said. It's also possible Lightfoot either mistakenly broke the rules, or is on a team with Ginger.
And by "team", I do not mean masons.

If Ginger flips scum, and then you go for Cookies and if she flips townie, then you can remove me for being wrong. Killing you off would be dumb. These daisy chains of constructed consequences are only as useful as their weakest link, which in this case is the assumption that I'm defending Ginger (regardless of her alignment) vs poking holes in logic that I find questionable. I don't know what she is, other than late for dinner.

Easy question to answer. Lightfoot, how did you remind Ginger to play?
It had to be asked.
Are you permitted by the rules to do so?
And if not, why would Ginger be important enough to you to pick out, among the lurkers, as needing a reminder?
Furthermore, if it's not normally permitted, are you on a private-chat team with Ginger, i.e. townie masons?
I advise you not to give false information on this point.

I don't know what she is, other than late for dinner. It's entirely possible I'm in attack everything mode. I get super aggressive when I smell blood, and it's not a good idea for scumbags to eff with me when I get this way. I believe I'm in error regarding you being linked to Ginger. My apologies. You were simply there, not doing anything suspect.

As an aside, I've stopped forbidding editing in my games on the Geeb. I wonder if we could program a similar 5 minute timeout here, because I hate not being able to go back and correct spelling and formatting errors.

Lightfoot claimed in D02.403 that she posted on a public Facebook group, and provided a link. I cannot follow it, as I don't have a Facebook account.

LIghtfoot reaching out to her is potentially a rules violation. I'll leave that up to Pollux. If memory serves, Lightfoot has a higher threshold for (non-game-related) off-board communicating. Kinda like your comfort level with editing. You do know that people have freaked out in 10 point font over edits on this board too, right? And you'd probably find that to be people making a mountain out of a molehill.
I gave you the benefit of the doubt on your edit too.
This board is way off the beaten path and depending on how people set up their accounts it is quite possible that a Mod/Admin has no way to prod a player who isn't playing.
I'm just happy to have a live body where there was nothing before. Non-participation sucks, and apparently we've dodged that bullet here.
