DAY THREE HAS DAWNED
THEY HAD, TO BE FRANK, EXPECTED MORE CARNAGE. TRAPPED ON AN ALIEN PLANET IN THE MIDST OF THOSE WHO WOULD DESTROY THEM, THE MUTANTS - GOOD AND EVIL ALIKE - THOUGHT THEY WOULD SURELY FIND THEMSELVES DOWN HALF A DOZEN BY THE DAWN OF THE THIRD DAY.
YOUR NARRATOR, OF COURSE, WHO MERELY WATCHES AND OBSERVES, IS SURPRISED BY NOTHING. THE SECOND NIGHT WAS NEARLY AS BUSY AS THE FIRST, BUT MUCH OF THE ACTION WAS CONCEALED UNDER COVER OF NIGHT. WHEN THE GROUP ASSEMBLED BY THE FIRST LIGHT OF DAWN, THEY FOUND ONLY ONE OF THEIR NUMBER MISSING.
THEY WENT QUICKLY TO THE ROOM OF THE BEING CALLING HIMSELF PLEONAST, AND THE FINDINGS THERE WERE AS GRIM AS THEIR FEARS. PLEONAST WAS DEAD, HIS SPINE TORN FROM HIS BODY, AND IN DEATH THE SKRULL EQUALIZATION SYSTEM HAD CEASED TO FUNCTION, REVEALING THAT HE WAS NO "HE" AT ALL. THE COLD, COMMANDING COUNTENANCE OF THE WOMAN WHO NOW LAY NOT JUST MOSTLY BUT ALL DEAD WAS FAMILIAR TO MANY OF THEM. THE FORMER WHITE QUEEN OF THE HELLFIRE CLUB WAS NO MORE, AND WHATEVER SECRETS SHE CARRIED, SHE CARRIED THEM TO HER GRAVE.
Pleonast, AKA Emma Frost, a Pro-Town Investigator is dead.
The rest of you are not. Day Three ends here, and will end, unless it is abbreviated again, at approximately 1:00PM EST on Tuesday, October 7. Day actions, if any are to be taken, are due by that time.

Knowing Pleo, he surely breadcrumbed something Yesterday.
I'm comfortable with an out of the gate
Vote for Almost Human
for now, though.

And I've found nothing particularly breadcrumb-like.
About the only thing I've concluded from looking through his posts is that if he investigated Rugger Night 1, Rugger did not come up scum, since he says that he finds Rugger potentially less suspicious than other players.
But it's very possible he concluded as much just from the results and interactions of that Day, so it doesn't mean a whole lot.
Anyone else see anything?

Well the only thing I got on a real quick re-read is that he did vote for me initially (full disclosure and all) because he had some questions. I answered them and he moved his vote off.
I also see the AH exchange but that reads more like a good catch than some sort of additional knowledge.

Well, that kinda sucks. I do find it interesting that there was only one kill again. I would have thought we'd at least have a PFK killer out there. Perhaps he/she was just blocked.
I didn't find anything that I thought was a breadcrumb. I am going to: Vote Almost Human as I found his win condition mix-up highly suspicious. I don't want us to just pile on and lynch him however, we should really discuss other options first. I am simply following my style of voting early for the most suspicious player.

Night one. Sorry, my mindset was in Day 2, where he would have announced the results from his investigation.

I also didn't see anything by the way of breadcrumbs. It's entirely possible that he investigated Idle, and didn't bother breadcrumbing information about a dead player.

I had to reread the Almost Human exchange, as I apparantly completely missed it the first time around. I think we are confusing a newbie mistake with a scummy mistake. Is there any reason a scum wouldn't know that they couldn't win if a third party won either? I would assume that a scum pm would say something along the lines of you can win if scum outnumbers town and no third parties can still win. Any scum want to volunteer a generic role for us to compare? It would be most helpful. If Almost was a third party, she would likely know that third parties can win on their own, so I find that option to be the least likely.
Rookies make mistakes regardless of whether they are town or scum. We have had a habit of lynching them for these mistakes, and we are nearly almost wrong. I know that third parties can win on their own, but I think I know it more from having played before, then I do from reading my PM very closely. I can certainly see a new player being overwhelmed by information and missing that detail.
Peek remains my number one suspect, but let's see what other town powers have come up with.

I'm surprised as well with this many players at the start. However, we had a PFK who could drain powers, so that's not too far removed from a serial killer in that it's more likely to be harmful to town than scum based on numbers alone. (In spite of all the WIFOM sandwiches sinjin made for us near the end of yesterDay, I still believe her initial claim was for the most part the truth.)

Yes, breadcrumbs would've been nice, but as some of you said, maybe he didn't find out anything useful -,0
For me, peeker is still a suspect, but it's hard to determine whether he spent night one away from his room,, dealing out feathers, or doing scummy things.
I'm inclined to believe Nanook's claim that he is making the zombies. After all, there are no zombies today, so he must not have used a night action,, if he is the zombie-maker.
Now, we know that Apocalypse is in the game,, I wonder what powers he might have - could he be the one spreading the virus?

I'm inclined to believe he's making zombies, too. However, I think it's for nefarious purposes. He's claimed to be able to communicate with them, yet he can't talk to them? He's just all , I guess, but I'm going to give it a big . molefan logged in today, around the time the Day was posted. If he's following along enough to be giving strategery advice, he's got to have read my post that can verify him. Just to be sure: molefan, when did I send you the quick note on this board via it's PM system? Now, molefan loves this game just as much as the rest of us. If he can still communicate via Nanook, I can guarantee he'd be following along, and not just posting "Suspect TEH SUXXORS!!11!!one!!!" Simply not his style. I'm going to change my vote, while keeping an FOS on Almost HumanUnvote Almost Human Vote Nanook ofNS until Nanook can answer this question satisfactorily.

Yikes. Sorry you went out so fast Pleo.
Ok so, we are down a doc and a cop. That kinda blows. BUT weird stuff seems to be starting to crop up in players responses.
Let's talk about AH some more. That conversation is interesting.
I think everyone knows my position on her right now, and if not you can look it up, I haven't been posting gads in this game like normal, so I hope I can ask this question without it sounding like an accusation.
Are you particularly suspicious of AH based on yesterDay's events? Why or why not?
Let's get the whole gang involved! I would like to see an answer from everyone. Particularly those who have voted for her.

Are you particularly suspicious of AH based on yesterDay's events? Why or why not? Not. I don't even know that I read my win condition. I saw that I'm Town, I saw my role and I saw my powers, but I've played this game so many times I barely looked at the win condition. It's not like it's any different from the win condition I've had in the six other games I've been Town.

I'm suspicious of AH--it's enough to go on if nothing else presents itself toDay. I look at slips like that as analogous to the Cookies slip a few games back or like NAF's semi-infamous Sekham list (*ducks*)--on the face of it, they have reasonable explanations, but my gut is telling me different.

Oh, and Santo Rugger...any thoughts on who might be showing up purple today? Can't rightly see as how that knowledge would help the scum.

Says the man with 92 posts. Particularly suspicious? No. I made a similar gaffe as town on Day 1 of Batman. Sinjin (also town) siezed upon it. Zuma (scum) and Rugger (Daykiller PFK) supported her without a vote. And HockeyMonkey (town) voted for me. So while it's a noteworthy point, it's not far removed from a null tell from where I view it.

I saw that I'm Town, I saw my role and I saw my powers, but I've played this game so many times I barely looked at the win condition. It's not like it's any different from the win condition I've had in the six other games I've been Town. See, that's the thing. When I was a newb, you bet I made sure I knew my win condition. You've played enough where you don't need to do more than glance at it to recognize that it's standard townie-win-condition boilerplate. I think that's the problem; it feels like a newb slip, all right, a newb scum slip. That said, I'm not convinced that's the case. I could see myself blanking on the win condition if I were a newb, just because there's a lot going on, what with power roles and multiple claims and blah blah blah. So, I'm currently on the fence here. I'd like to keep an eye on Almost Human, for sure. But that's it for now. Santo, you mention that you don't believe that Pleo investigated you Night One. Do you have a specific reasoning for that statement?

And I find it...funny that the two people (FCOD and Rugger) who said "wha? Apocalypse? How'd ya know? *ssusspicioussss*" --when it was in the opening color-- are suspicious of (to the point of voting for) Almost Human for a strikingly similar error.
