I'm trying to understand this game - but I find it very confusing. I get the distinct impression that is the expected norm for a misterblocky game. That's an interesting thought that the house is protecting folk - and as they say in Vegas, the house always wins!

I try to ignore the Blockeyness of it all, since at the end of the Day Blockey still creates games that work. They just work strangly. So a no scum town vs. PFK mafia game would still be mafia. It would just be strange mafia. It isn't all that strange even, and I wouldn't be surprised if the house wasn't some element of power. At the end of the Day it's still mafia. I think Story is right that we need to lynch TL or Roxis toDay and my gut is saying TL mostly based on the way she reacted to the whole interchange between me and story, also because she is playing the "oh I don't get it" card a little more than I am comfortable with. (Not waving a flag though, she clearly isn't a flag waver. ) But I want to know why story is thinking Roxis.

Just noticed something: Yes, but I'm under the impression that trusting someone is ALWAYS ASSUMED, just like "IMO" is redundant, because of course it's your opinion. Should read NOT trusting someone.

Had the KE taken me out, it would have cast further suspicion on you. By tracking you, and not finding you, it also casts suspicion on you. So if you are the KE, you've chosen the lesser of two suspicious acts (maybe you must act at night, so staying put wasn't an option). That's very true. Which means that if I could do anything at night I certainly wouldn't have as you telegraphed ;D that you were going to track me. I'm baffled that you couldn't find me and it's actually kind of annoying - I was expecting your tracking to confirm me as town. I guess it could be a way of casting more suspicion on me if someone can block or do something else like that.

OK, the possible permutations here have me all twisted around. I keep trying to come to a conclusion, and I always wind up back in "on the other hand"-land. In the morning, when I have some french vanilla cappuccino in me, I'll try to sum up and provide something moderately useful.
NAF - my preference for roxis over total lost basically stems from his unquestioning acceptance of Hoopy Frood's claim. His explanation for same is less than totally satisfying. I do agree that total lost has been making an apparent effort to be unassuming, which is suspicious, but at this point I am pretty much suspicious of every single one of y'all. And of course, scanning the vote records is unlikely to produce much value, because if we're dealing with a bunch of individual agents, then they really have no more perfect information to betray than the Town.

Why would I refute a post that assumed Hoopy was telling the truth with "he could be lying"? That's pretty much implied. Hell, it's pretty much the basic rule of Mafia. For the record, I never once accepted Hoopy's claim without questioning it. But was I about to clutter up the board with a statement I felt should be obvious to anyone with half a brain? Of course not.

In the immortal words of Rorshach (only 14 days, fellow geeks!): hurm.
Here's what seattleguy actually said:
To which roxis replied:
So really, nothing about seattleguy's post, the post you were refuting, "assumed Hoopy was telling the truth." All seattleguy was saying was that Hoopy appeared to him to be a threat, which is not the same as accepting Hoopy's story whole-hog. Your reply, on the other hand, appeared to swallow the whole story: you castigate seattleguy for considering Hoopy a threat (ie, for not believing all of Hoopy's story), while your own take on Hoopy assumes that his account is true.
So I was quite suspicious of you.
Then I thought about it some more. The fact that you jumped to the assumption that Hoopy might be telling the truth, that Hoopy might not be a malicious entity, strongly implies that you, yourself, probably are not a malicious entity. If you knew that you were third-party, and knew that you were anti-Town, you would have to strongly suspect that Hoopy was either Scum or malicious third-party (much as seattleguy in fact did).
I hereby retract my suspicion of roxis, and return reluctantly to the drawing board.

Good to know I wasn't missing anything. I still think the plan is a good one, I just think that TL is the more suspicious of the two.

Really wild theory time - looking at the lynch
Day 1 - Dorianphoenix: Chameleon, totallost Day 2 - Høøpy Frøød, roxis, Total Lost, BillMC Day 3 - Seattleguy (3): Roxis, NAF, Chameleon
2 out of (Chameleon, TotalLost, Roxis) were the lynch squad.
It would be a kinda weird game, possible all three are scum?

In the immortal words of Rorshach (only 14 days, fellow geeks!): hurm.I love you for this. <3 Bill, I think Day 2 is hard to look at because brokentree was acting really weird. First she voted "Happy" and appeared to make it a real vote. Then when someone asked her if it was a fake vote, she said that it was, and that she shouldn't have to unvote since she voted for a fake person. Sort of a roundabout way of making your vote count, huh? Also, all three of us being scum? Plus having the two malicious third parties? Town would be unable to win. They would have to hit a threat every lynch, and Hoopy would have to give the knife to town every time, and that person would have to use it on a third party/scum. I think we have one, maybe two more killing entities. My bet's on one, though. But like I've said, I'm fine with a lynch of me. It'll bring you closer to lylo, but if it'll help you catch one of the killers, that's cool. I, too, prefer TL to me, since I don't know her alignment, but really, it's whatever you decide. And, before I forget: Vote Total Lost

I'll not vote for you right now - cause I think that would only bring more confusion to the game. However if it looks like a tie between you and me - I could vote you cause like you say: I know what I am - don't know anything about your alignment.

I suppose Chameleon could also be some sort of ninja, which would explain why I couldn't track her.

I've been thinking no one seems to be around this weekend. Guess I'm the only loser with nothing to do...no, wait, I went to an awesome stand-up comedy show on Friday - that was good Part of me thinks I should vote for Bill since he's been putting so much heat on me. But it would really suck if he's really what he says he is and a town power gets lynched. As cool as it would be, I'm not a ninja, unless I'm a subconscious ninja - and then what fun would that be? I still don't know who to vote for. I'm not that suspicious of NAF, but as for everyone else, I don't think I'm really suspicious of any one of you any more than the others. Storyteller's dare for someone to kill him was certainly *interesting*. Roxis has been somewhat (suspiciously?) quiet, but when she has responded it's been fairly agressive which is how I've seen her play as town (so for me maybe she cancels her suspiciousness out). Bill - it's obvious because I have to wonder if he's trying to frame me, but scared to vote for him in case it's someone else messing around or something I don't know about myself. Which brings me to Total Lost and her comment "I can't really vote Roxis right now..." - are you just saying you can't vote for her because you don't have adequate suspicion, or do you have a voting restriction? If you have restrictions that affect what you do then that kind of makes you a loose canon in a way, which I think *could* be dangerous. (Which I guess I could be too since things aren't making sense with me - although that's just a matter of not being found). So in case I don't get back before day is over...sorry TL *hugs* Vote Total Lost

I'm around - just mind numbingly bored doing business plans Anyway, this is definitely shaping up to be a very strange game, we're down to six and it's all kinda blase and laid back, which doesn't make a lot of sense. I have to agree that the "I can't really vote Roxis right now" comment also seems strange, but no stranger than the rest of the game :-) I guess going with Storyteller's plan is better than nothing at this point, so Vote Total LostMind you, with the plan, I'll most likely be dead in the morning, so I bid you good night and adios!

With half of the residents dead tension fills the air... except not really. After a little discussion it's nearly unanimously decided to kill Totallost. Storyteller ponders in the corner while everyone else descends on Total, but she just stands there laughing until someone clocks her in the head with a chair.
For a split second she seems to have two heads, a painted wooden one which flew backwards and the familiar head seemingly unaffected by the solid blow.
Totallost backs up towards a wall looking confused, grasping at the furniture. Another blow appears to knock a wooden leg out of sync with her unfazed body. She grows more and more frantic as more blows land on her body. "Help me! You can't let them kill me! I know you can stop this!" she screams at the drapes and the chairs and the lamps and the walls, until a floorboard breaks beneath her, pinning her in place. Suddenly the life-size wooden puppet and her body are now quite clearly separate. As a powerful blow cracks the wooden head open the image of Totallost is sucked into the fireplace followed by an explosion of soot. Above the destroyed puppet in soot reads "Rules are Rules."
Totallost, a Spooooky scout (mad bomber) is dead.
Final Vote Count:
Totallost (4): NAF, Roxis, Chameleon, BillMC
It is now Night Night ends no later than 12:30 AM EST Wednesday the 25th.
