BillMC, any response to sinjin's accusation of visitation? If she had a visitor during the night, it wasn't me.

Both. He saved timmy and led the charge to get the insane FCOD machined after previously saying he didn't think it was a good idea to put people who were eager to go in the machine in the machine. I called him on it yesterday and today I am feeling funky in the head. I know no more than that. Ya know, thinking about it, I'm going to Unvote: Mitey Vote: Sinjin "It improves people... when it works. It has been very successful. My last project survived five sessions before it escaped. Others have not been so lucky. You're all here to find the lucky one though. And starting tomorrow you will all get to vote as to who gets put in the Machine. One person a day. It has a cool down period. Help me succeed and you all go free. We must sacrifice for Science!" The machine improves folk - when it works; and if the lucky one is put in, we all go free. What gets me is why is Sinjin so against folk volunteering to go in the machine? This leads me to believe that either (a) she has additional information that she isn't sharing with us (b) she knows that the machine will actually be fatal to someone, may be herself. So since she doesn't want anyone in the machine that actually wants to go in, I think she can go in, since she doesn't want to.

"It improves people... when it works. Except it doesn't. Read Mr. Blockey's post again. "It improves people... when it works." There is no guarantee that any given person will be improved. Indeed, it should be pointed out that (a) both the players put into the machine so far were inhuman, so it's entirely possible that the machine will actively harm humans. This hypothesis is supported by the revelation of Hockeyguy's role at the Dawn of Day 3 : Mr Blockey said " Hockeyguy was a physician with the ability to reduce the negative effects of the machine if he so chose. (Bolding mine.) The machine does not just improve people. Also, it's not a matter of all of us going free if the lucky one is put into the machine. Day 4 Dawn : "[FCoD] appears to be a protean man, most likely the person the Mad Doctor was looking for, now useless." The lucky one has been put in. Twice. How many of us are free? None. (Or three, maybe possibly five, if you count dying or going mad as "escaping.") Humans should probably be afraid of the machine, especially now the person able to ameliorate the effects is dead. On top of that, there's this issue of the instruction you received. You say you can't tell us who it was from. Given what Mr. Blockey has said, this either came from another player (and you have no indication as to the role?) or you're Making Stuff Up. You're heading for the machine unless there's a swing away in the next 40 minutes. I'm OK with that. Vote: BillMc

BillMC stands, pretending not to care, until people start to take him towards the machine. "NO!" he screams. "Oh you'll pay, you'll all pay!" He's strapped into the machine and as it does it's stuff there's a notable difference. Bill starts to shake, and as he falls out he's hemorrhaging blood. As the town runs over, it becomes quite clear he's dead. In his pocket was a journal full of mad ramblings. The only sense that can seem to be made of them is that he hated sane humans with a passion.
BillMC is dead: He was the Mad Patient: A human failed experiment with anti-human sentiments.
It is now Night 4. Night 4 will end on sunday at about noon eastern.
Final Vote Count:
BillMC (4): Sinjin, Sister Coyote, metallicsquink, MHaye Sinjin (1): BillMC :highlighted:

You all wake and do a quick headcount, finding no one dead. It then occurs to you that instead of counting, metallicsquink has been yelling out random colors and types of cheese.
Squink has been driven insane. A quick rummage through his things reveal that Metallicsquink was a human private eye. (an investigator who needed to investigate a specific role)
It is now Day 5. Day 5 will end at approximately noon eastern on Wednesday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Living: 5) Merestil Haye 7) Sinjin 8) Parzival 10) Sister Coyote 11) Mitey Mouse
The Dead: 1)TotalLost: Blacksmith (resilient) 2) Hockeyguy8435: Physician (helps town through machine) 12) Timmyfellinthewell: Pyro (compulsive killer) 6) BillMC: Mad Patient, human failed experiment with anti-human sentiment

Okay, it would seem there really is someone who remains who's driving people insane. And BillMC was possibly a non-powered scum.
MiteyMouse has been lurking, but I've been kind of missing time myself. Then again, I don't mind voting now and taking it off later, because I'd like more explanation for what's going on.

Looking back, Mitey hasn't posted since the middle of Yesterday, and (to my eyes) that reads that she can't (or won't) play. She hasn't placed a vote at all. I went to see when she last logged on, but it was October last year, which probably means she's in stealth mode and has been since then.
I need to reread before voting.
Bill was described as a mad human "having anti-human sentiments." I've been thinking he might have had a Night action that only affected humans, and the problem Sinjin reported Yesterday might have been a result of the action. In which case Sinjin would be some sort of human. (Not that that tells us much at this stage. I suspect the knowledge might have been useful to Hockeyguy in determining who needed help against chair injuries. Also, I'd guess that timmy was a human as well - just he had pyromania.)
Sinjin, has the problem with your thinking cleared, or are you still suffering it?

Sinjin, has the problem with your thinking cleared, or are you still suffering it? I think I'm feeling better. Blockey is being rather cryptic. Sister Coyote, don't you think Parzival is playing a bit strange. I decided to just continue on with not lynching those that want to be lynched. I'm also wanting Parzival to come in and contribute something besides "lynch the lurker who wants to be lynched". Do you have any other suggestions for a lynch except for me, the person who actively tried to get both timmy and BillMc lynched. Has anyone else been visited in the night or am I the only one?

I have not been visited in the night by anyone.
I agree that there's something strange about the way Parzival's playing, yes; it seems to me that he wants to appear to be participating without actually participating much. But I'm not sure that makes him machine-worthy, because we have no guarantee that going in the machine will kill him.

I think I'm feeling better. Blockey is being rather cryptic.I'm guessing here, but one hypothesis I had was that Bill caused it. I was speculating that he might be able, as a Night action, to cause some derangement in one player per Night, but only if that person was human (since he had "anti-human tendencies.") I'd guess that inhumans (like NAF and FCoD) were immune to this possible power. I have not been visited in the Night.

I'm uneasy about this.
Mitey Mouse's lack of participation has undoubtedly hurt the game, but she asked to be put in the machine - albeit "if we have no better options."
I have some nagging doubts about Parzival, particularly after he suggested that MS's "cheerleading for Town" made him suspicious of her. That struck me as a smudge at the time, although minor.
Nevertheless, given that choice.
Vote: Parzival

Parzival gets taken to the machine and the whirring and clicking and stabbing commence. When everything finishes he falls out, looking pretty much the same.
It is now Night 5, night 5 will end at approximately noon eastern friday
