Ah, actually, I see what you're saying Diggit. Nevermind-- your statement isn't as patently insane as I first read.
Dotchan, DO you have any defense? At all? If you are town do you want to help out a little?

If you are town do you want to help out a little? What am I supposed to say in my defense when just about everything I say is being interpreted as a scum tell? Short of quoting my role pm (which is obviously verboten), I don't know what else to do at this point. (I'm sorry I'm so bad at this...)

Sorry I haven't posted much toDay, I've had a busy weekend. Quick thought? I think when DOTCHAN said "the other two scum", she was refering to part of a theory she was talking about before. YMMV.

I haven't had time to do a thorough analysis today, but I'm more than happy to kill NAF however we're killing people this game, if nothing else than for Mal not dying when JSexton said he was going to kill him.
Sorry, if I'm alive toMorrow I'll post more substantially.

Huh. That's up there on the 10 things I expected least to happen today.
Idle, if we end regulation time with a tie will there be an extra meat-world day? I'm really not liking this day ending without Story Blaster and Smurf showing up again.

I've been re-reading the game, hoping that I could put things together. I'm now more confused than ever. Good job scum.
My suspicion of Mal/NAF and pygmy is still the strongest, though.
For now I'm going to vote NAF. Capy pointed out some good things about NAF's play today being strange. Add that to Mal's strange play and I think he's the best lynch for today.
Pygmy's vote for him concerns me a little, because I've thought they were both scum, but it is what it is.
I'm going to try to build my case against Mal/NAF and pygmy since there's a good chance I'll be dead Tomorrow and I might as well get my thoughts out there. More to come in a bit.
I'd really like to hear from storyteller and Blaster before the end of the Day.

dotchan, if you're town you might as well switch your vote to NAF to tie things up and give us another day to work things out. If you're town I can understand being frustrated that you've been railroaded, but don't give up just yet. If you're scum then by all means leave things the way they are.

Okay, well, with that there's a tie.
AND...
I just found out I probably won't be here at nine PST. I'm leaving at eight pm PST.
So, ring in with your opinions people. Should I just end Day right now with the tie, and start the extention (it will be another full, regular day-24 hours)? Or at eight when I leave?
Or should I just end Day tomorrow when I get on (although that won't be until about 11 or noon PST) and then give a full, regular day's extention if it's still at a tie then?

For what it's worth, I'd be strongly grateful for an extension to pretty much any time mid-day tomorrow; I had my show tonight and a cast party right now (I'm literally posting from the middle of it), but should be able to read, consider, and vote in the morning.

Well, I, for one, won't be online until after 12 pm EST tomorrow...if the extention period starts, it'll just be a runoff between me and NAF - do the people in other time zones have any particular opinion? I, for one, will be online for the next few hours at least.

I'm fine with whenever you decide to end the Day. My preference would be that it ended sometime tonight, so that we could do the run-off day if there's a tie tomorrow. That way we can start the week fresh with Today behind us.

Yeah, that's what I'm feeling is best myself. I'll end it in a few minutes and then extend it to about six or seven PM tomorrow night.

I must admit I was half tempted to unvote Dotchan just to see what Nafacandra's role is.... And if he turned up town, i'd be so gunning for Dotchan and Pygmy....
But that's just reckless playing styles. And esp. as peep have said earlier, we can't mess this vote up. We need to start getting rid of Scum soon, or else... =(

Okay well. Time to end it then, an hour early.
There is a tie.
Dotchan and NAF.
Soooooo.
Day is extended 22 hours. Tomorrow at SIX PM PST, Night ends, without a doubt.
Please note, if there is STILL A TIE tomorrow, then Day ends WITHOUT anyone dying and town gives up the right to find scum or learn any new info one way or the other.
You may all ONLY vote for either Dotchan or NAF.
All of their votes are wiped clean. They both start at zero again.
Go.

I'll vote for Dotchan. But First i'm gonna watch some ProWrestling. And then maybe work on a few applications. Then if its around 2am or so, I'll vote. Unless there's a great defense or idea posted up here. There's never anything good on here though at 3am though =( Just the dead wandering about singing in the increase your post count thread....

Arugh... This is post 200. I had to see what i've become!
And i guess by "stick to my guns" i mean What i've basically been saying in Day 2, and for the latter half of this day. Nothing changed since then and the Tie, so I'm gonna stick with what I had.

Earlier today is response to the Blaster-Story discussion of geniuses claiming (in which Story suggests that it would be a good idea for geniuses to claim sooner than later, while Blaster disagrees), I will say that I agree 100% with Story and would like to officially FOS BlaM for his anti town logic. Story is right, he is watching another game with perfect knowladge, he has been scum, vanilla, and a power role. He should know better. Meanwhile, up on page. . 7? CAPY! You realize that you just split the doctors protection for the night giving the scum 50% better odds of taking one of you out? We need the feakin' geniuses to stay alive! A bit of a change of heart. Why so upset? Perhaps it would have been nice if the genius who claimed didn't remove more protective cover for scum off the Drain-wagon. The genius wasn't where he hoped the last genius to be. Wow. No one appears to have noticed this, really, or called upon NAF to explain it. Thinking the geniuses should claim is one thing; criticizing the geniuses for claiming is another. Doing both, in the same Day, with no evident reason for the change of heart, is incredibly suspicious to me. It smacks of opportunism, of holding whatever opinion will best suit the purposes of the current moment. Also, the second quoted portion from NAF (beginning "you realize..."): this statement may or may not be true. The Doctor's preferred play might be to ignore the Geniuses altogether toNight and protect him- or herself. I don't know, but it's obviously an option. In any case, why would NAF feel the need to make this observation? capy has already declared, so that's water under the bridge. Why bother to make this statement about splitting the Doc's protection? Unless one is subtly trying to influence the Doc's decision - to make sure that the Doc is thinking along the lines of protecting a Genius - because one is scum, and has a bead on the real Doctor and wants the latter's protection wasted on a Genius during the coming Night. I still have to catch up, but in light of the above: vote NAF

I'm still waiting, Storyteller for your response to my Q waaay back in the day.... Heh. Where oh where didja go? Right here. Not sure to which Q you refer. I'd be happy to answer it; do you mind linking to it or asking again? On a more general note: dotchan's remark, it seems to me, was odd and ill-considered. I kind of want to vote for her, too. But NAF's comments are bothering me a bit more, so that's where I'm placing my vote for toDay. I have another show tonight, so this will probably be my last post until matters are resolved.

Unless one is subtly trying to influence the Doc's decision - to make sure that the Doc is thinking along the lines of protecting a Genius - because one is scum, and has a bead on the real Doctor and wants the latter's protection wasted on a Genius during the coming Night. This hadn't even occurred to me, although I wondered at the time what the point of saying something like that was, since it was too late to do any "good." Doctor, you might take Story's hunch under advisement. Nesta and I are not particularly important-- just confirmed town-- so do what you think is best for the town. Anything else I might want to say on this is probably better unsaid. Also didn't like whoever it was asserting that all the "more experienced players" clearly found Dot's statement screamingly, undeniably, clearly scummy and beyond interpretation, and all that business about bad town play and "apologists" and all that. It feels like peer pressure and looks. . . scummy. With that and Diggit's eventual and inevitable vote switch he's climbed right back up my list. If you want to get town cred and go underground, Diggit, you'll have to put in more effort than that.
